Since this is volume 2 of The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-be-Wife, I will not write a long review. I love the continuation of Tounome and Yakou’s relationship. Good vibes. Wholesome romance. Stellar read!
Things I love about The Invisible Man and His Soon-to-be Wife Vol. 2: -Wholesome romance -Back stories of their coworkers and previous clients. -Funny moments -New case for the Detective Agency
Patiently waiting to see them animated next year. Love a ML who’s polite and respectful plus a disabled character who’s capable and independent and not infantilized… take notes, a Sign of Affection
It’s very very cute the artwork is very nice and it’s interesting to see how all the creatures of this world interact if you’re looking for a quick easy reading a romance you could do a lot worse than this I’m looking forward to the next volume.
2nd volume was no disappointment. Many of my classmates, mostly the boys. gave me weird looks when I started reading this but I really don't care. this a cute underrated manga and sometimes a boy just wants to read something adorable!
I'm a huge fan of the way the author is fleshing out the story here, revealing one character is gay and giving our titular invisible man some realistic struggles around being invisible. It's written akin to a disability. Super imaginative and cute and sort of fanservicey. More mature than you'd think while still being quite sweet.
This story is the perfect mix of fantasy, world building, humor, quirkiness, and wholesome relationships. I can’t seem to stop gushing when reading. Definitely will continue this manga.
Book 2 in the amazing relationship between a blind office manager and her boss an invisible guy who runs a detective agency! It's a wonderful day-in-the-life of two people with different levels of disability and how they manage to get around them (the disabilities, that is) to manage their relationship. It's wonderful to see how Yakou attempts to control her embarrassment in dealing with her untried soul as she has never had a real boyfriend in her life. And who wouldn't be so careful when it comes to a dashing, 007-Bond character?!! (No, nothing as daring as James Bond as he's just dealing with the average Joe with average Joe-like problems. It's so wonderful! Hot and wonderful.
The artwork is superb! The best I've seen with modern clothing! Left me panting, and I've never done this with any kind of manga or comic book! (I'm just not into that usually...) I can't wait to read the next two manga!
Ratings (out of possible 5) Character building: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ World building: 🌎 🌎 🌎 🌎 🌎 Relationship building: 💓 💓 💓 💓 💓 Romance: 💋 💋 💋 💋 💋 Heat/steam: 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥🔥 Drama: 👀 👀 👀 Action: 🍿 🍿 🍿 Suspense: 💣 Dark: 💀 Triggers: Blindness, disability, relationship anxiety POV: Multiple (we ARE talking manga, folk!)9 Ending: Length: Approximately 144 pages Recommend: Oh yes!!! Talk about being blind yet feeling so ordinary compared to an invisible guy. (This guy is a HUNK in a wet t-shirt!!!!)
Even better than the first volume. I love watching these two get more comfortable with each other. It does come off as two people with different disabilities learning about the intricacies of each other's lives and it's all done with kindness and casualness. I also love how it seems the ML relies more on the FL. She's wholly independent and totally fine on her own. We learn more about the creatures in this world and sick world building. And the author isn't scared of digging up some serious topics that this implies besides the standard “fantasy race is a stand in for POC”. Like there’s meantions of sexual harassment in the haircutting space for beast people. Speaking off, shout out to the freaks, we get beast people in bikinis. Even after this story is over I'd love to see the author continue to work in this world. I think they could make some really cool shit.
This is absolutely one of my favourite new manga that I've read this year!!! It's so fluffy and cute and romantic. 🥰 I love the protagonists and the way they interact. My heart's a-fluttering and my eyes are welling up. I'm so happy this series exists..!
This volume introduces the tsundere investigator Kikira's significant other and, I love them. They are so cute together omfg. Their backstory in the mountains... ahhhh..!!
Another new character is Yakou's mom. She doesn't get too many pages, but so far she seems to be the curious and supportive type.
I couldn't wait for this volume to be released and now the long wait for the next volume begins. Ahhh!!!!
This book opens with being invited to her house, and sees she left her panties on the floor! He kisses her forehead and we get a chapter about her mom finding out she is dating. They go to a pottery class together and the movie Ghost comes to mind. Daichi (grumpy office worker) has his lawyer boyfriend visit. Shizuka gets sick and Akira visits her and embarrasses himself in front of her mother. We have mild drama when an invisible woman visits but it goes nowhere.
They then go camping and share a kiss in the woods. I loved the backstory of how the gay characters met and became friends by holding hands and helping up a trail.

FULL 5★ THIS WAS SO DAMN TENDER AND SWEET!! I love how adorable tounome and yakou are...the camping scenes, especially their first kiss under the tree, were just perfect. plus, kikira and his boyfriend madaraito are debuted in this volume, along with their origin story as high school sweethearts. MY HEART!!
also, can I just say the cover + the turquoise color scheme throughout was spot on!! very aesthetically pleasing.

I just about squealed my head off with this one. The romance takes a step forward for the main couple and we get to see the current love life of one of the other employees at the detective agency - who just had to make things even more adorable when we find out that particular couple are childhood sweethearts.
The sweet-induced cavities are growing but I regret nothing.
Soooooo cute! We get scenes of Tounome and Yakou being cute together at work. We see Tounome taking care of her when she’s sick and accidentally meets her mom! Kikira’s partner gets introduced and is such a fun and adorable character. Last but not least we get a kiss! This manga just gives off adorable and wholesome the entire time.

Amazing how the lack.of a.face makes the heart pound harder. Our cute assistant and detective solves invisible cases, missing People, obsessive parents stalkers. they alsonwork on learning their relationships thru simple dates and camping out. For a man with no body to be seen, our gentleman ghost is definitely built!! ANd is this a first kiss?
The second book was just as amazing and adorable as the first. I always love reading about Tounome and Yakou. This time, a new character was introduced and there was some backstory on Kikira. This series is so wholesome and cute and I can't wait to read the third volume.
This one made me giggle a lot. They're just so cute together, and I like getting more insight into the invisible race of people. They just make an adorable couple. But I also like a bit more of the cases they showed this time as well as the other characters getting more development.
This manga is so cute and I love how they are expanding the other side characters that make this universe so good. I also appreciate the art style and if I could eat the author's art for sustenance I would.
This was adorable. Tounome and Yakou’s relationship is equal parts sweet and awkward which is an interesting mix and I'm looking forward to continuing this series to watch their relationship develop.
