Reem al-Farhan, former Saudi Royal Guard, has settled in New York and made a new life for herself.
She provides security services to visiting royalty from the Middle East. One of her clients asks her to look into a charity that resettles women from was-torn countries.
Reem thinks it is some casual book-keeping work, until she is shot at by snipers and hunted by killers.
The shotcallers thought that would be enough to deter her.
They are wrong.
They also don't know of Axton 'Ax' Hawke, one half of PI firm Hawke and Stryker, her on-off boyfriend.
They are 'off' now.
That doesn't matter to Ax.
There is nothing he won't do when those close to him are harmed.
But with what they are up against, even his brand of storm might be enough.

“Hawke's Code”, another winner by Ty Patterson. I have read all of Ty Patterson’s books, and they are all thrilling, with lots of action and extraordinary resources. The teams use drones, some unbelievable technical products, tools to block telephone usage, devices that will perform scans of people in dwellings, and many other incredible future products. The stories are all about unparalleled teams, who help to thwart villains in the world, and who are sanctioned by the government for dispensing justice. Ty Patterson writes about three teams: Zeb Carter and his team, Cutter Grogan, and the duo, Axton Hawke and Kael Stryker. “Hawke's Code” is about Axton and Kael assisting Royal Highness Princess Leiyani al-Fayez of Jordan and her protector, Reem al-Farhan, to investigate the disappearance of a Warrior Woman, someone who was rescued from war zones and brought to America to live. Huda al-Maeri was missing, and Ax and Kael discovered she was pronounced dead but with no death certificate. FBI Special Agent, Peyton Quindica and her partner, Gina Difiore were introduced to the case, and investigations ensued. Ax and Kael were also assisted by Beth and Meghan from Zeb’s team. There were links to Russians, Jordanians, Ukrainians, and the team travelled extensively to discover the kidnapping and the whereabouts of a few Warrior Women. This tale stands alone, but these stories should be read from the start of the series if you want to be familiar with the characters. The story is fast-paced, suspenseful, with great fight scenes and the characters are described well. The one disappointment for me was whatever happened to the family of Elena Sakharova. Maybe I missed it when powering through the exciting end of the book. I must admit that I prefer the stories about Zeb and his crew, rather than Axton and Kael and Cutter Grogan, but I would recommend all of Ty Patterson’s books to anyone who loves action and adventure.
When Ax’s former girlfriend, Reem, comes to him for help investigating the disappearance of several Middle Eastern women, he and his partner Stryker are pulled into a case far more dangerous than they imagined.
True to form, Ax is ready to kick ass and take names—but as the trio digs deeper, they uncover a chilling international conspiracy that puts them all in the crosshairs. With every lead, the stakes rise—and so does the body count.
Fast-paced, explosive, and impossible to put down, this nail-biting thriller delivers nonstop action, fierce characters, and a plot that keeps you guessing until the very end. Ax and Stryker are back, and they’re taking on their most dangerous mission yet. Buckle up—you’re in for one hell of a ride.
This book is worth your time to read. Between Ax Hawke and Kael Stryker, the locations, twists, and turns will keep your attention focused on finding who's responsible for the missing women and just what the perpetrator's real goal is. Reem al-Farhan, whom we met in a previous book, works alongside our duo in this story. Reem and Ax's dynamic is an interesting addition. We also get appearances from Gina Difiore, Peyton Quindica, Meghan, and Beth. I enjoyed this story and loved the ending of chapter 35! Just a note: If you are purchasing from Barnes & Noble or Kobo, the title of this book is Ax Storm.
Well the P. I. Boys are traveling around trying to figure out what’s going on with the charity the Princess funds! There’s some mysterious woman running around they can’t figure out what’s she’s up to. Love these Badass Boys! They’re awesome and you add in Reem and there’s nothing they can’t do. Another great story with awesome characters! Always looking forward to the next Ty Patterson book.
Kael, Ax and Reem are not to be messed with. With their team and FBI in the background they are a force to be reckoned with. Can they ride the twists and turns of an international conspiracy with all of them in the spotlight turning being hunted back to being the hunters with Ax and Reems connection sizzling between them? Expect fireworks.
The latest book by Ty in the Hawke & Stryker series.
I enjoy reading Ty's books and I enjoyed this one but not as much as I hoped. Whilst it is well written and the plot had some good twists, as well as the usual snark between characters, I did find it a tad slow going at times.
I was aware that these books were going to be set in Zeb's world but what I'm starting to struggle with is Ax & Kael's reliance on Zeb and The Agency's resources. I feel like they would be better working and running missions for The Agency instead of their own P.I firm.
