I received an advance copy of the book and found it really helpful! It opened my eyes and mind to a new way of thinking about pain, strength and mobility. Sometimes exercise (even yoga) can feel like fierce competition where gains can only come with pain. "Mobility for Life" reminded me of the key role our joints and bones play in our health for our entire lives and why it's so important we take proper care of them. I'm picking up a copy for my mom (who struggles with arthritis.) Great read!
I got a presale copy. A new refreshing way of thinking about healing. If the yoga shape is peaceful it allows for deep healing. Avita Yoga targets the joints, not the muscles - also important. Jeff says - "We don't go to the hospital for muscle replacements". If you are over 40 this is a good read.
While this book offers motivation for healing the mind as well as the body, I did find it to be a redundant read. It seemed that the same questions and offerings for a peaceful mind and healing injuries were repeated over and again throughout the book. The book could have been much shorter. Avila is a great yoga practice however for anyone looking for healing.
