In the book of Philippians, the apostle Paul says that he will press on to lay hold of the prize of the upward call of God in Christ.
How can you and I do the same?
In these collected essays, originally published from 2010-2014, pastor and writer Will Dole wrestles with God's word and what it means to live as a Christian in the modern world. Through the pages of this book, you will be encouraged to press on toward Christ and to grapple with the meaning of his word for your life today.
Will Dole is a pastor and coffee shop owner in Northwest Iowa. A husband, father, and church planter, he loves to read the Bible, spend time outdoors, and try to put his rambling thoughts into cohesive form on the page or the screen.

Well, I want to give myself five stars, but I read the book and didn't think that would be honest. If you'd like to rate it higher, you're sure more than welcome to.
These are essays written by a much younger and less mature Will Dole, but hopefully they will still serve a purpose as an example of wrestling through what it means to understand Scripture and apply it to your life.
They are arranged chronologically, and so hopefully the growth over the years is evident.
I am thankful for the opportunity to have read this book! There were many chapter that were thought provoking, convicting, and challenging. On top of it, I really appreciate Will’s willingness to be open and vulnerable. Looking forward to the next book that he comes out with. 😁
