***Pucking Secret is a secret baby, second chance, steamy, contemporary hockey romance. It is the fourth book in the Night Hawks series and can be read as a standalone***
He left me broken. But this time, I'm not the only one at risk.
I really believed I was over him. Over the heartbreak, the betrayal, and the regret. Then Owen Scott shows up as the Night Hawks’ newest star, and just like that, every carefully placed brick around my heart starts to crumble.
Seven years ago, he walked away, leaving me pregnant and shattered. I pulled myself together, built a career, and raised my daughter. I convinced myself I left him in the past. But one look into those piercing blue eyes, and I know I never truly let him go.
He’s as magnetic as ever. But he’s also the man who turned his back on me, on us. My life is good now, and I refuse to let him derail it. Not when everything I’ve worked for, and built for my daughter, is on the line.
But the spark between us never really died. Every accidental touch, every stolen glance, sets my pulse racing and makes me question everything I thought I knew.
He doesn’t get to walk back into my life and upend it all over again. I won’t let him. This time, I’m not just fighting for my own heart, I’m fighting for hers, too.
And I’m not sure how to protect us from the storm he’s about to unleash.
I had the privilege to get an ARC copy of this book by Katie Strong.
I absolutely loved Stacey and Owen's story 😍.
This book was absolutely swoon-worthy, spicy, surprised pregnancy, second chance romance, and contemporary hockey romance.
Owen's stepdad moved them away, Stacey then had to raise their daughter Millie. 6 years later, their paths crossed again and to get a second chance with his high school sweetheart. Millie is absolutely adorable and cute.
Thank you so much Katie for letting me read you wonderful book. It truly was amazing, and It had me hooked that I literally couldn't put it down.
I absolutely loved this story! As a fan of hockey romance and single parent narratives, I couldn't put Pucking Secret down. I finished it in less than a day and am so grateful to have had the chance to ARC read this gem.
Katie Strong has a knack for crafting energetic and heartfelt narratives that draw you in. I felt a genuine connection with the characters, and I found myself wanting to jump right into their world and experience the love and struggles alongside them.
The chemistry between the characters is palpable, with every accidental touch and stolen glance sending shivers down my spine. Katie’s writing brings this tension to life, making it impossible to look away.
I’m already eager to dive into the next book of this series because I am completely in love with these characters and their journey. If you’re a fan of emotional hockey romances, this book is a must-read! I can't wait to see what Katie Strong has in store for us next.
That was... amazing! I know there are a lot of spicy hockey books out there now, but you really shouldn't miss this one. I enjoyed every chapter. It's all there - first great love, disappointment, early pregnancy, broken hearts, misunderstandings, secrets, an amazing grandmother and terrible parents, great friends, second chances, spicy scenes, athletic men with big hearts... And it's so well written that you don't even want to put the book down, but just keep reading.
This is my first experience with ARC. I guess I couldn't have chosen better, thank you so much, Katie Strong! I'm looking forward to the other books in the Night Hawks Hockey Series. :)
This book was absolutely wonderful, I was able to ARC read for Mrs. Katie Strong!
This book was written well, and had little to no errors in the edits. She wrote the accidental pregnancy trope amazingly, and every turn of the page made me wanting more! The emotion I felt through the pages were well conveyed, and made me feel like I was experiencing it myself.
Thank you Katie for your writing and letting me be apart of the team! I hope yall have a great read!

Romance deportivo, hockey, embarazo-bebé secreto, segunda oportunidad.
“Pucking secret” starts with a bang and it never fizzles out. Katie Strong is a recent indie author, but it has been a joy to read her novels. In a world where there are so many books being published, it’s easy to overlook some authors. We only have so much time to read, but I am glad that my path reached Katie Strong.
I cannot say I felt the same while reading “Pucking never” since Stacey and Owens’ story is so much different. Before knowing Stacey was pregnant, Owen abandoned her. Owen had his life controlled by his stepfather and was anxious to break free of their control. When their lives become entwined again, Stacey needs to confront Owen with the truth, and Owen needs to step up and take charge of his life.
The first pages of Stacey’s life were absolutely heartbreaking. Her finding out her pregnancy and that Owen had left the country are very powerful. While she could have found support in her mother, we soon learn that she is awful to Stacey. We later learn that Owen’s stepfather is also an awful influence in his life, so here the theme of broken parenthood is present and is definitely key. Especially since Stacey tries so hard to be a better mother. I was also happy that Stacey’s grandmother and Owen’s mother were positive role models. Stacey’s grandma was very supportive and was always there for her and, while Owen’s mother made some questionable life decisions, she did what she thought was right to protect Owen.
However, now that they are both full adults, Stacey needs to move on from her grief of losing Owen and becoming a single mother and instead, she needs to make room for Owen in their life. Owen, on the other hand, never thought his dream could come true. Stacey was his forever person and having her back on his arms with a child makes him man up and stand up for them. It took him a long time to stand up for them, but years of family trauma can take a toll on a person. Stacey is clearly another person when her mother appears. She is stressed, yelling and has to defend herself a lot. Owen, with her stepfather, feels diminished. He has no voice and must find other ways to exert control. It was no surprise to see Owen being more dominant in the spicy scenes. Owen uses bondage as a method of healing; in his bedroom, no one in his family can tell him what to do. It felt very honest that he wanted to be more dominant there while Stacey wanted to let go and be told what to do, since she has to always be in control in her professional life and as a mom. It was quite nice to see two adults exploring bondage as a coping mechanism and having it fulfilling their needs.
“Pucking secret” is a heartfelt second-chance romance. It is not without some dramatic moments, some spice and a lovely HEA, but that’s what makes Katie Strong books so nice and easy to read. They’re good-feel books and I really want to read the next one with Zander and Rylee. Rylee seems like a piece of work!
Their Destined Second Chance - Stacey resigned herself to be a single mum and change her plans for her career when she discovered Owen had disappeared, so she was shocked and upset when he walked into her office years later and pretended everything was okay. Owen didn’t understand why he received a frosty response from Stacey when they met again, as he had never stopped loving her, so he decided to try and rekindle their relationship. Even though Stacey was weary of Owen’s intensions when he started spending time with her and her daughter, she still decided to keep the secret about her child’s parentage from him.
Unfortunately, everything came to a head when the secret was accidentally revealed whilst Stacey was dealing with a crisis and it caused Owen to take a step back from their budding romance. In addition, Owen’s family drama was unleashed on them at the same time, which brought back all the pain from the past. Just as Stacey was about to walk away from their relationship, Owen took drastic action to ensure they would be able to get a chance at the future they were previously denied.
This is a heartfelt second chance romance story filled with heartbreak, resilience, secrets, family drama and rekindling a love that never waned, so they could get a chance at the future they were deprived of. This book is another great addition to Katie Strong’s portfolio and deserves to be on your TBS list.

Owen Scott and Stacey Dixon were high school sweethearts who had this amazing relationship. They both knew that no matter what they would be together forever. Until one day when Stacey took a test where the results were 2 blue lines and Owen had disappeared. He broke her heart, he ruined her chance at love forever. But at least he had given her one thing that she was never going to let go of, a beautiful little girl named Millie She had moved on, was living in Denver, had a great job with the Night Hawks NHL team and loved her life. Then seven years later he shows up just as fast as he left but as the latest star on the team. He has no right just to come into her life again and to think it will go back to the way it was before, especially after the letter he sent her. Especially since it means he could take Millie away from her. Unless he doesn’t realize she is his and the way he left was something beyond his control. There is no denying the passion is still there, the connection, but is it enough? Will he still feel the same way when he finds out the truth?
This is the second book of Katie Strong’s I have read and I can tell you it wasn’t disappointing at all. It is part of a series but you can read it as a stand alone which is great. It was a page turning, can’t put it down until I am finished romance book that you need to add to your never ending TBR pile. I can’t wait to see where the series goes from her.
Pucking Secret by Katie Strong This story sure packed some heat ,which is how I like it ,so that’s pretty neat. The whole dynamic of this pair who’s chemistry is palpably charged with explosively supreme love scenes is a DREAM ,the cat got the CREAM sort of attraction that leaves you feeling full of SATISFACTION at HEART with their one to one DANCE .It’s ICE-HOCKEY for a start as well as ROMANCE ,which is what my heart has a sing and dance for. Stacey and Owen were high school sweethearts but his dad moved the family away. Stacey is left bereft with a baby on the way .She has little Millie a cute little thing who meets her daddy eventually ,not when she’s sweet sixteen but a very cute six . He’s the Night Hawk’s newest star . He walked away seven years ago ,leaving her in dismay. Now he’s back and the ice walls around her heart start to melt away. With every fibre of her being ,she doesn’t want a bar of him ,but every glance ,every breath of fresh air that they share ,every stare leaves her wanting to connect and reflect ,what might have been. Well that remains to be seen in this ,because like it or not it’s going to be bliss. Just have to get past some home truths and some angst that the universe metes out before they can work things out. Brilliant storytelling,so compelling and all. Very immersive writing too , very inviting. Phew😮💨 and it’s packing some heat ,a real treat . Katie Strong’s writing can’t be beat.
I LOVED Pucking Secret! It is the first book I have read of Katie Strong and I am so happy I found her. Going to need to go back and read the other three in this series. :)
If you love first love, second chances this is a beautiful place to start and with the edition of the daughter, getting her dad back, reconnected with mum and daughter, it is so beautiful. It pulls at your heartstrings, moments of heartwrenching sadness, but also so heartwarming in those adorable moments on connection and love.
There are a few sexual spicy moments, that just add a little to the story, giving more emotion and connection between Owen and Stacey.
It portrays how things can be misjudged and misunderstood, whether it's between you and the person you love or the relationships you have with your parents or even learning about who else might be meddling in your life where it is not needed or wanted.
I would highly recommend giving this story a chance and just letting it take you on a small adventure. Nothing too crazy, just a nice walk through the park and small bumps in the road.

Stacey Dixon and Owen Scott were high school sweethearts who were split apart by family interference. Unfortunately, the split happened before she could tell Owen that he was going to be a dad. Stacey was sent to live with her grandmother, which was actually a good thing to get her away from her mother. But she accepted her single mother status, raising their very sweet daughter, Millie, and has a job with the Night Hawks hockey team as their physical therapist. As Fate would have it, Owen is transferred to the team and they meet again. With many factors against them, will the two allow their love to bring them back together for a second chance? And if so, will they hopefully learn to communicate with each other to give their relationship a firm foundation?
There is plenty more going on and the reader will find out what broke these two up, so grab your copy and share their story. Will they find their HEA after all?
I cry and laugh so hard with this books. Since the beginning I knew it was going to be a spectacular second chance.
Stacey and Owen knew since the beginning of their relationship they were meant to be. Even when life was getting in the way, they still get back to each other. I get why Stacey kept the secret even when Owen gets little clues that Melissa is his daughter, but Owen should have been sincere.
I was so sure that Stacey’s mother was the black hand, and then when I discover that her mom is actually a b***h jealous of her own daughter, I knew that Owen’s stepfather is the most outrageous person in the story.
I was hooked, read the entire series in a week, just to eat my nails waiting for Pucking Enemies 🥲.
Katie I didn’t like the miscommunication at all, but did love how he wasn’t the one forced to clear the air. Things just didn’t fall apart like in other stories.
Pucking Secret is a second chance at first love, surprise baby, hockey romance with a HEA.
Stacey and Owen are high school sweethearts. But when Stacey finds out she’s pregnant Owen skips town. Her mom isn’t supportive and sends her to live with her grandma in Denver. 6 years later Stacey has built a life for herself and her daughter, Millie. She’s a physical therapist for the Night Hawks and they just got a new player. Little does she know that the new player is Owen! Can their relationship rekindle?
This was such a fun second chance romance with just the right amount of spice, I couldn't put it down! I loved reading about Stacey and Owen's relationship - past and present.
If you love hockey romances, second chance romances or high school sweetheart romances you need to add this to your TBR!

Talk about pulling on your heartstrings. Pucking Secrets is the fourth book in the Night Hawk series and Katie Strong knew how to touch my inner heart with her writing. The story of Owen and Stacey is so sad in the beginning that the ending just really touches your emotions. I thought the pace of the book flowed very well and kept my interest throughout. The main characters are likable, although I was yelling at them not to give in to some typical trope behavior. You do fall in love with the couple and their journey together. Plus, the side characters are wonderfully written and support the main storyline. I will say the villain in this story reminds me of a certain dragoon in another tale with their arrogance and manipulation. IYKYK 😉 I am looking forward to the next book in this series. This was my first time reading Katie Strong and I had a wonderful journey. Thank you so much!
Stacey and Owen were young and in love when they were torn apart by circumstances not of their own. Stacey finds out she's pregnant and cannot reach Owen. Then she receives a letter breaking their relationship and Stacey. Stacey's mother moves her daughter to live with her grandmother. Six years later Stacey is a single mother working for the Night Hawks hockey team as a physical therapist when fate steps in. Owen has been transferred to the same team and discovers the love of his life is there and they have a daughter. The battle back to each other includes interfering parents, unwanted engagement, massive miscommunication, and overcoming hurt. Terrific series. The books can be read as stand alone but they are interconnected. The characters are woven into each book. Great reads.
What would you be willing to do to protect what you love?? Are you willing to risk everything for a second chance at love?
Owen and Stacey are high school sweethearts that a ripped apart after an unexpected pregnancy and then fate brings them back together. Relationships are tested and secrets revealed. And ohhh yes, it does get spicy. 😏🌶
Pucking Secret is Book 4 of the Nighthawk Series but definitely can be enjoyed as a standalone. These characters will make you fall and love and you will want to know more about them. I was so happy to see to see some familiar faces from Pucking Vacation (Book 1).
This is my second book I have read by Katie Strong and she truly brings these books to life. I really enjoyed getting to know the Night Hawks and their family and friends. Looking forward to so much more. 😁
Second Chance Accepted Due to machinations of (step)parents the young love between Owen and Stacey is crudely ended, with both parties left hurtling and longing. But Fate has other ideas and throws them back together after several years. But especially Stacey finds it difficult to trust again after hearing all her life from her mother how full of deceit and betrayal men are. Owen is stuck with the promise he made his dying dad to care for his mother. He finds it hard to stand up for himself and fight for what he really wants out of life. Their struggles are well portrayed and relatable. Fortunately, they do find their way back together to give us our and their HEA! Enjoyed this sporty romance with some very good friends, both male and female and a wonderful kid. <3
Pucking Secrets is the fourth book in the Night Hawk series, and each is enjoyable standalone, but even better as part of this great series… with the wider cast of fabulous characters. This story focuses on Stacey and Owen, and pulls on the heart strings from the very beginning. You love Stacey’s resilience and strength, and her determination… Owen is a conundrum - he seems great, but he broke Stacey’s heart in the past and seems oblivious. Fortunately, the story unfolds and you understand their full history…. And all the hidden intrigue.
This is an emotional and gripping story, a spicy romance and a fun read. I highly recommend this book and the entire series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I have read all 4 books in this Night Hawks Hockey series and I can say that it is one of my favorite series. I love the Author's writing style, development of characters and story lines. Pucking Secret was amazing, with intrigue started from the first page. You just are engaged and stay there until book is finished. Perfect characters - Stacey and Owen. But the star was Millie. And, of course, I was happy to have characters from the previous books on board. Supportive and present. Drama of Stacey and Owen, and their "not supportive" families, with all those turns and twists made them stronger at the end and added intensity to the story. Enjoyed it so much!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love the Night Hawks Series! And Stacey and Owen's story is a fabulous addition...
The High School Romance Second Chance Trope is becoming a fast favourite of mine, especially since it often as an element of enemies-to-lovers following whatever caused the break in the past. And this is no different.
Millie is SUPER cute! And I love the way that Katie Strong brings in elements to link her to Owen to build up to the reveal. And I loved how Owen went about winning Stacey and Millie over, and building himself into their lives.
This was a really great read, with fabulous spice, and many super cute scenes...

Maniputated by a narcissitic stepfather, Owen loses his high school sweetheart. My feelings were torn towards Owen - he followed what his stepfather's demands to protect his mother but by not standing up to him, he was losing his chance at happiness. It wasn't until he grew a set that I actually started to like him.
Stacey was very likeable. She was strong when she needed to be and stood up for herself. Her mom was toxic but her gram was supportive and a delight. The true star of the book though was Millie. She was lovable, had confidence in herself and wasn't afraid to speak her mind. It took having the manipulation and other truths being revealed before Stacey and Owen could get their much deserved HEA.
It was nice to have some of the characters in previous books be a part of this one, to see how they all connected and and interacted. Hopefully there will be more books in this series.
This is an enjoyable continuation of the Night Hawks series. Owen and Stacey are teenagers in love who are torn apart by Owen's evil stepfather. This is complicated by the fact that she is pregnant and her absolutely horrible mother ships her to her grandmother so Owen can't even find her. When they reconnect by chance years later, Owen works hard to win her trust and love back. I did find Owen's failure to stand up to his stepfather until the end of the book, very annoying. Fortunately, Owen finally acts like the hockey god that he is and Stacey finally learns to trust him. Millie often demonstrates more maturity than her parents.
Read if you love surprise pregnancy / secret baby, single parent, second chance hockey romances.
Stacey & Owen started out as high school sweethearts until Owen’s new step dad forces the family to move to Canada abruptly leaving Stacey to raise their daughter Millie alone. Fast forward six years to Owen joining the Night Hawks, The team Stacey is doing her PT residency with.
Once they cross paths again I loved seeing them get their happily ever after ❤️
This is my first book by Katie. Definitely will be reading more.
Katie did an amazing job with Stacey and Owen’s story! High school sweethearts who had their futures town away from them by circumstances beyond their control. This story goes to show that not everything is as it seems. Stacey’s fears about telling Owen were extremely relatable to me. As a single Mom one of my biggest fears was her dad wanting to take her away and Katie did a spectacular job showcasing that. I loved how they met again and the instant connection between Millie and Owen was great! I couldn’t get enough of this story and the feelings it stirs had me crying.
I was torn on this one for a little bit. The author recycled a lot of the same or similar plot lines from her other 2 books just with new characters which became repetitive and kind of annoying. However, the new plot lines were really good and overshadowed the recycled ones. This one focused on a new pair of main characters but still had all the characters from the other books which I loved and added a new depth to this one. It was enjoyable and cute and I even teared up a little at the end. Overall, this series was cute and a good read with each book slightly better than the last.
This was a cute book: surprise pregnancy, single parenthood and second chance romance. These two were high school sweethearts until his new stepdad moved them to Canada out of nowhere and she was left to raise their child. 6 years later their paths cross again and they get the chance at a happily ever after. Has some betrayal and obviously secrets with someone trying to control their actions but ends on a happy note.
Story of potential but it felt lacking somewhere I skipped over the sex scenes they seem pointless to be honest. Stacy’s grand was in hospital just getting out of major surgery and they were having Kinki sex, that’s the last thing on my mind. If someone I was close to had just had serious surgery. What happened to her Gran? After the operation she just vanished and what’s happening with the Next book? Booking enemies nothing anyway.
Katie Strong lights the lamp with book four in the Night Hawks Hockey series, PUCKING SECRET. Hockey star Owen Scott is traded to the Night Hawks not knowing that the love of his life that he left behind, Stacey Dixon, works for the team and they have a daughter, Melissa (Millie).
Katie Strong does a fabulous job with this second chance romance. Owen and Stacey were high school sweethearts. They were separated when Owen’s stepfather uprooted them and moved to Canada. Due to a series of circumstances, they lose contact with each other. I love that they get an opportunity to clear things up. It is crazy what they go through.
The characters are well developed and likable. Millie is adorable. The plot is interesting with unexpected twists. PUCKING SECRET is the perfect addition to the Night Hawks Hockey series. I am looking forward to PUCKING ENEMIES next. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
What a fantastic sports romance that I really liked. It has everything in it to keep me turning the pages until the very end. The characters are really likeable and have great drama and sweet and spicy moments between them. I absolutely LOVED everything about this book! This is one story not to be miss!!! Happy reading
