Slimemancer: A LitRPG Adventure

Rate this book
Life was boring and repetitive, until a vintage video game disc titled Dungeon End became the spark that changed everything.

Orphaned since birth, the protagonist found purpose in gaming, spending a decade climbing to the final floor. But instead of victory, he was pulled into the game itself, waking up as Leon, a street rat with a seemingly useless skill.

Now, the dungeon he once conquered is a brutal reality where every choice means life or death. Without a screen to rely on, he must turn his weak ability into a weapon, or be swallowed by the world he once played.

Slimemancer is a LitRPG adventure where the line between game and reality shatters, and survival is the only quest that matters.

It's an absolute copy of "Surviving the game as a Barbarian" but with a not smart MC. in the beginning I thought It would be funny because the skill is quite different to the usual but the MC it's just dumb and the game doesn't follow any logic. it's not a game of skill where you can be smart, it's about luck and random. And the moment the new character appeared, and the first thing the Author did was a POV a gnome just to tell you the same thing that happened in the last chapter, it lost me. Everything is so random that it's not funny.

This was a refreshingly light read in the LitRpg genre, which is hard to find. No pages of character sheets or stats to bog you down yet it somehow manages to capture the essence of what Litrpg embodies perfectly. The main character is likeable and manages to scrape through some truly gruesome situations with well thought out decisions and sheer stubborness instead of overpowered skills or gear. A truly enjoyable read.

WOW! This was an insanely gripping dark fantasy thriller that is way better than the “transported to a video game” setup would have you think. Easily one of the best LitRPGs I’ve read this year.
