This book was painstakingly slow for me! Main story is about two adult women who were childhood friends that grew apart. Daintry was the friend who seemed to have it all, and Hannah was the follower who wanted to do anything and everything to be able to remain in Daintrys circle!
They grow apart and lose touch only to surprisingly end up in the same town as adults!
To me this is a story about a “mean girl” and a bully who continued to be the same as an adult as she was as a child/teen!
We have all had that friend and as a child I was more of a Hannah, thankfully as an adult I have come to realize there is more to life than tagging along behind a supposed friend who only wants to use and abuse you!
There are other sub plots in the story, but the main was about Daintry and Hannah!
The best chapter of the book was the last one and these few sentences pretty much wrapped it up for me! “As we get older we discard objects that no longer have significance. We discard people as well!”
If I was Hannah I would say good riddance to Daintry!
Now I say good riddance to this book!
