Idiotic
The premise and world was interesting; however, the end was just bad. The snooty elf sends someone who has been in the academy for two days into a dungeon and nothing happens to her?!? She is completely forgotten, while the MC who goes in to save her gets a vote for expulsion?!? That is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen in a book!!
Apparently in this world getting someone killed for your own selfish gain is perfectly fine, but going to save them in a capital offense. Not even counting that the 2 who were in danger are the ONLY enchanters at the entire school.
There were so many glaring plot and logic holes in all this that it was pathetic. Definitely falls into the top 10 of worst books I’ve read.

Well I finished this disaster, but I didn't enjoy it. From the over-the-top cliched depictions of the orphanage in the beginning of the book, to the main character who is more or less an ambulatory penis in half the scenes, to the horribly disjointed world build and terrible sense of time, to the godawful attempts at quippy dialogue, it was terrible. While the whole "boy winds up at previously exclusive college for girls" bit is a little overdone, there's nothing wrong with it. Unless it's in this book. The writing was painfully repetitive to the point that half to a third of the book could have been axed and the same level of "barely coherent" could have been maintained.
A good example is the main character having to tell the story of the dungeon rescue to his instructor, to his instructor, to his friends, to his instructor again, to the senior instructors, to his instructor, to the senior instructors, to half the school, to the senior instructors again, and finally one more time to a panel of all the instructors (and eleven instructors to teach FOUR HUNDRED students?? What the hell.) and each time the author made sure to spend at least a page, if not two or three, on writing out the main character retelling the story.
There's also a problem of most of the scenes that include more than two characters having to pause so the (figurative) camera can pan around and give every character a chance to say a line round table style. This is particularly grating when it's back-to-back, illustrated early on by an inexplicable scene where the instructor on fetch duty buys snacks for her new students and each student is detailed reaching into this mystery bag of snacks, and then again the camera pans back to the top of the line for each student to offer thanks in their own unique way. Then they get on theHogwarts West Coast Express (I forgot the actual name) and go through the entire circle panning sequence again when they come aboard, when they go to dinner, when they assign beds, when they discuss using the bathroom (to change, but it isn't mentioned so it sounds like they're debating who poops first), and when they climb into bed. In short, it is grating and unnecessary and takes up entirely too much real estate on the page.
There are what feels like a hundred other details that serve as sticks in the spokes of this square-wheeled junkyard bicycle of a narrative. Examples include, in no particular order: The character Thessa declaring her love for the character Wade after approximately 60 hours of acquaintance and at least one but not more than two rounds of sex. The opening section of the book's slavish devotion to impressing that Wade is from Promise, Oregon and then never mentioning it again. The Gryffindor/Slytherin/Other sorting of students into sororities which are "unofficial" but allowed to exist, haze students, and display affiliation on school uniforms. The character Lazy being able to leave school grounds to try and get herself killed despite it being mentioned several times that students need to be indoors and in bed by dark and several safety measures being in place. All of the characters smirking incessantly. NO SMILING. ONLY SMIRKING. Frequent painfully awkward references to Wade's penis by practically every character, no matter how well established it is that he's a boy at a girl's school. Every female character is plump, voluptuous, athletic, or all three. Cars share the road with carriages and wagons. The safest way to travel the wilds is on two-headed elephants (completely unexplained and just thrown away after a two chapter elephant ride). I could go on.
Anyway, 1 star. Don't read it. Don't tell anyone you know to read it (unless you hate them). And don't believe any of these five star reviews.

I liked most parts of this book. The plot was engaging and while the characters weren’t deep, they were relatable. The action was creative, and Bryce is a good writer. What held me back was the repeated, prolonged, graphic sex scenes. I hate to say this, because I’m aware it is a staple of this genre, and I don’t consider myself any kind of a prude. I’m not offended, just bored. The sections were too long, too repetitive, and (In my view) unnecessary. They detracted from the story and from the image of the MC, Wade, who in all other things was loyal to his friends and showed courage, but was happy to objectify his female friends, and really, any female, regardless of what else was happening. I found myself just skipping these pages. Less is more, and I have an imagination, I don’t need every detail.

Mostly dull, certainly unpolished. This was a hard book to get through, mostly because I kept falling asleep. The prose was fine, but no better. The character development was non-existent and the world building would have to improve significantly to be considered shallow.
As is always the case with this author, the book was badly in need of a critical eye and someone maybe an editor capable of recognizing the essentially the same paragraph appearing multiple times over the book.
The biggest flaw was that this book wastes the magical academy and does nothing with the premise of first man on record with the special class. It’s not a novel premise, but it was essentially ignored in this book. The magic is flat, uninteresting and is an afterthought for the author and more importantly the characters. The protagonist has been waiting his whole life to get a class, finds out he gets a special one and then makes no effort to investigate learning spells or abilities, and the school he goes to doesn’t provide them instead we get chapters on meditation to replenish mana, a skill the MC is exceptional at, and then immediately forgets about when sent into an excruciatingly bland dungeons.

DNF at around 50%. One of the LIs goes missing and it drags on and on to the point of absurdity. I was so bored. Also, the dialog is horrible somehow, not sure how to explain it. I think I'm also done with the "only boy in school" trope.

Its just dawned on me why so many Kindle Unlimited authors pad their page counts so much, this book is particularly egregious with most paragraphs being at most two or three double spaced lines with a then triple line break for the next paragraph. This book is listed as 543 pages, but taking out the double line spacing and triple line paragraph breaks would probably bring it down to around 200-250 at most........but Kindle Unlimited pays per page read not number of books "sold" so the page count is what matters.
The book itself isnt bad, nothing groundbreaking in the genre, fairly limp LitRPG stats with no real meaning to it that just feel tacked on to fit the theme, for instance, he levels up by killing one Ogre, then he kils three Ogres and levels up one time again, then kills five Ogres and levels up one time again, no XP numbers, just a random level up which seems lackluster against what he actually killed. Its just Meh story with a bit of sexy time to draw in the teens.

Can’t wait for the next one but balls were dropped
Love the start to this series. Love the twists and turns. Can’t wait to see where it goes, but disappointed in how things played out near the end.

Great series that appears to take place after frontier summoner in the same universe with some changes. Love the pace with dungeons and weird zones, but there was what I feel a major break in character at the end during the expulsion trial. IMHO, Wade would have and should have brought up the the student who sent his friend to what should have been her death is not at risk of being expelled and how can you expel the person who saved a student in the name of protecting the student body without expelling the student who is know to send second day students to their death.

All ratings start at 3 stars and change from there. Honestly, read as part of a vacation run and I'm a bit behind on writing the actual reviews and I'm not sure I remember everything I might want to say.
You know, I liked this - it does it's job well enough. It's a bit litrpg, a bit harem (but just a bit of a lean at this point, although we all know where it's going).
It does do a couple of things I dislike which are pretty standard for the genre. Every female gets extra attention to there anatomy, a bit too much, could you just say there pretty? And the timeline has to be immediately - 2 days in school and everything happens. Come on, let us breathe in your world a bit - a week wouldn't have hurt anything..

The fact that an academy would allow a student of 2 days go into a level 5 dungeon is stupid. The fact that only enchanters are the only people who can get in is also stupid. I would like to know how Lazy got captured. It was never explained. Also how the hell she got there. Also never explained.
Then there’s the leveling up. He gets a level for killing 1 oger. But then he only gets 4 levels for killing 9 more including the boss.
The fact that Lazy wasn’t punished is another thing. But also that the elf wasn’t punished by the academy was annoying.
This is 1 shitty academy!!!

Not the best not the worst
This book is on par for the genre entertaining but not anything super special. Well, I enjoyed it, and the characters are certainly unique enough. However, I was hoping for more crafting considering the title. The magic system so far is a bit simplistic, but in this genre, unfortunately, that's not the focus. Still, it passed the time and wasn't horrible. I will certainly read the second book. Never know may get better.

I liked this book overall but i had some issues with it. Few of them are how a guy risked his life without a single combat training to rescue a girl who he knew just one day from a dungeon. Another one is that, for an institution who specialises in Enchanter class students, its difficult to accept that only two freshmen are there with Enchanter ability. Not even professors with that ability to go with the MC.

Super slow
Slow and bloated. This would have worked better as a short story edited down to like 200 pages. Just so much filler that doesn't add to the story at all. Reasonably well written, but hopefully the next one has more focus and excitement.

Excellent writing and wonderful characters
The story is very well designed and executed. The characters are lively and full of potential. The background world is developed just enough to grab the readers attention, but leaves plenty of space for the series to grow. Hopefully this will be a long series. Very excited to see what Book 2 will be like!

The last chapter sucks
Not the first guy at an all girls school book I've read, but its better than most. I was having a blast reading it. Then we get to the last paragraph. And we will find out the answer in the next serial. I hate that cheap theater stuff, reminds me of a soap opera or being a kid watching Batman. Find out in the next Bat show.

Imagine Magician/Belgarion with a harem and you won't go too far wrong.
An orphan boy is nearing the end of his time at an orphanage, which coincides with the end-of-term choosing ceremony (Magician). He receives a rare class assignment and is subsequently taken to an all-girls school for training.
There's no surprise in the storyline, making it an easy and enjoyable read to pass the time.

3.5 rounded up. It's interesting, but feels too abrupt. I know we're not reading these as literary masterpieces, but there are better erotic fantasies out there. I still don't get why I care that he's an enchanter except as a plot device to land him at the all-girl school. It feels like he's basically like every other caster at the school.

Enhanter
I really and truly enjoyed this book . the storyline was great ,the characters were well defined . The main character still have a lot of growing. He is going to need his harem and all females should be eligible. Really great book and looking forward to book number 2.

Great Beginning to a Wonderful New Series !!!
Jack Bryce’s latest “Enchanter” series tells an intriguing story with well developed characters. The ending of this first book in the series was extremely satisfying, but still left me wanting book two to be published ASAP!

Lightweight and easy read
Likable MC, and three very different female students that are admitted along with the MC. The dungeon scenes are nice but perhaps unbelievable. That said, the MC has to approve his mettle somewhere. Looking forward to book 2.

A great read.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fun and entertaining. The story and characters were incredibly interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book is definitely worth checking out.

Entrrtaining tale
Great book. Entertaining as well as some added humor. Very enjoyable read. Nice to lean back with a cup of coffee in my favorite chair and read a nice fantasy book.

Not the best thing I've read so far this year, as a lot of it seemed too contrived. The MC is preternaturally sharp and mature for his 18 or 19 (I can't remember) years, and the women in his orbit are unsophisticated tropes. I may read the next one, but it's not top of my list.

I thought it was pretty good for Jack Bryce, then the plot resolution at the end happened..wtf was that? One student tried to murder another, one goes to stop attempted murder, the orchestrater gets away scot free and the rescuer goes to trial for expulsion, and barely fights back just accepts it.

Very good book
This is a fine fantasy harem adventure novel. It is well written and edited. I especially like Klah the Orcess. I anxiously await the sequel.
