Caleb I’ve always had a way with women, but three years ago things got weird. Something dark is lurking inside me and I can’t explain it. Every time I’m with a woman something happens that I can’t control. They never leave the same way they came in. They don’t leave at all. And the power I feel afterward is intoxicating. Then I meet Talia. The fiery redhead who doesn’t fall for my charm, and I can’t get her out of my head. She feels different, familiar even. I’m obsessed. Then I find out so is she. She even has a pillow with my face on it, and I need to know why.
Talia Caleb doesn’t remember me, but I remember everything. He was mine in our past life together. He loved me, then he destroyed me. So I did what any self-respecting ex-girlfriend would do. I cursed him so he can never enjoy sleeping with another woman again. Ever. I should feel victorious. I came back to make him pay and to watch him suffer, but now I’m the one who is trapped. I hate him for what he did to me, but deep down I’m still drawn to him. And that might be more dangerous than any curse. I was supposed to ruin his life, not end up back in his bed. Again. Seriously, this is getting ridiculous.
Caleb has always had a special way with women, but for some reason, three years things got really weird. There's something dark lurking inside me, and I just can't explain it.
When I am with a woman, something happens, I can't explain it, and I can't control it.
I don't know why, but they just don't leave the way they come in. Actually, they don't leave at all.
And as for me, I can feel the power flowing through me after, and honestly, it's just intoxicating.
It's then that he meets Talia. She's a strong, fiery, capable redhead who refuses to fall for any of my charms or at least my attempts to charm her, and there's nothing he can do to get her out of his head. Even though she's so different from any other woman he's ever known, he feels like he knows her, or at least she feels familiar, and he's obsessed with her. And then he finds out that she's obsessed with him too. She's even gone as far as to get a pillow with his face on it, and now he HAS to know why.
Talia knows that Caleb doesn't remember her, but she remembers everything. In their past life, he was hers, and she was his, and they were together. And even though he loved her, or at least that's what he said, he still destroyed her. So, she cursed him, like any ex-girlfriend who had been left devastated, left broken and alone and yet still with some self-respect. She didn't want him to ever enjoy another woman's company again, and she wanted to ensure that he never slept with another woman EVER again.
She really should feel like she had won. She had come back to make him pay the final price, and she wanted to make him suffer, and yet now she finds that she herself is actually the one who is actually trapped. She despises him for what he did to her, and yet, despite their past, despite everything that's happened, she can't deny that she is still drawn to him just like in the past. And that could actually be more deadly than any curse out there.
She wanted to ruin his life and ensure that he spent the rest of his life alone. She never wanted to end up back in his bed. For a second time.
Had she not learned her lesson the first time?
Aria Devon is sick and twisted, and I love it, I don't know where she gets her ideas, and honestly, I absolutely love it. She is so amazing at crafting these stories that leave you wondering what the heck did I just read? What? How? Who? I absolutely love Aria Devon and her books.
How Not To Curse Your Ex, I'm still reeling from reading this book. It is a roller-coaster ride of mixed up suspense.
The easiest way to explain the reason that it is so mixed up is because of the witch that set the curse up and put it all in motion to begin with. Talia is honestly a hot mess in her own right. It's really hard to say what her real motivation is. I am still trying to figure that out. I am still trying to figure out if she really wanted revenge or forgiveness.
Caleb, on the other hand, is a disgusting pig in all the ways you would think, and honestly, the curse Talia put on him, I kind of think he deserved it and needed to be alone. He is absolutely toxic and a womanizer.
In the end, I came to the conclusion that they really deserved reach other. And they deserve the uncertain future that comes with that.
There are so many twists and turns in this book, and some of the them you'll never see coming, and honestly, I'm still trying to figure out what the original betrayal 3 years ago was. You get to see Caleb get a few of his memories back, Leanne's story is different, and then you soon realize that Talia's perspective doesn't match up to either Caleb or Leanne's stories. It's all just a jumbled, interesting mess.
Now, you have to know that this is a dark romance, but this is not the typical dark romance that you get. This is a fun, sick, twisted, dark romance that is one of a kind.
Author Aria Devon continues to prove to me what a phenomenal author she is with each book I’ve read by her so far. How not to curse your ex is the story of Caleb and Talia. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about who both of these characters were as the main characters. The characters are fantastically written and beautifully executed throughout the story. How not to curse your ex is quite suspenseful and a page turning romance. I found this story to be captivating from start to finish, entertaining and an enjoyable read. I couldn’t even set my phone down until I read the last page of this book. I’m looking forward to reading more phenomenal romances from this author in the future. I would certainly encourage other readers to checkout and give this book a read. Overall, a phenomenal romance that had me hooked at the beginning.

truly a twist ending I did not see coming. it's rare to have a stalker FMC. and I just loved the reversal. she really is deranged.
I also loved that magic shouldn't be used the way she used it, but she still did. so many universes have magic being inherently good or with systems in place so it can't be abused. it was fun to see the darker side of what magic could do.
3 years ago Talia walked in on Caleb fucking someone else and was heartbroken. so she cursed him to kill everyone he sleeps with, and unable to resist the urge to keep doing so. in those 3 years both of them have been tortured, and Talia starts spring which leads to a whole lot of mess.
there a lot of TW and I wasn't sure the book would be that dark, and to be honest the book felt light and funny, even if it was dealing with darker things. that ending though.
i'm gonna give this 4 stars because I'm lowkey in shock but also it was fun, not necessarily a good romance but ya know..
how not to curse your ex is a mixed-up, suspenseful ride. I guess it's so mixed up because the witch who set all of this in motion is an obsessive hot-mess. Talia couldn't really decide what she wanted, revenge or forgiveness. Caleb is the most literal kind of toxic womanizer. In many ways they deserve each other, and that's what makes their future so uncertain.
I've got to be honest. There are twists and turns in this book, and by the end I STILL wasn't sure what had really happened during the betrayal three years in the book's past. Caleb ends up with some memories, Leanne's version is different, and Talia's perspective doesn't match either. All in all it was interesting and messed up. This is dark romance, not a good example to anyone, but takes you for a ride.
Not what I was expecting at all. But it was so good. Talia is twisted and crazy. As the story progressed, she got crazier and unpredictable. I really thought Caleb was going to be the crazy one here. The twist at the end though... I just assumed if he could break curses, he would be able to break whatever curse she's put on him and he would be able to see the truth, but I guess not. Fun story, plot was interesting, writing was great as usual with Aria Devon. It was for sure something different and I've never read anything like it before.
Getting revenge by cursing your ex is not as simple as it seems: Talia just wanted him to suffer, however she didn't realize how long it dragged on. Worse was that she has no way of reversing it. Talia has to find a way to deal with her ex herself: or else someone far worse finds out and deals with both of them themselves. This story made me feel some second hand embarrassment: but what can a girl do when she's still in love with the one who broke her heart? A unique revenge love story that I recommend if you want something a bit wild and spicy to read
You had me at cursed 🍆…. That was a great my mind is still trying to process it all, even at the end I was left with question. This was one fun wild and crazy ride. Many times like what the hell is going on, but I couldn’t stop reading I needed to know what was coming next. This chick is a psychotic stalker but I love her so much she is the right kinda crazy 😂
If you want a dark romance book that has twists and turns and will keep on guessing right to the end this is it for sure.
Just when I thought all the secrets and lies had been revealed I got thrown off by even more! In this book, the memories you have, the stories you tell yourself, may or may not even be real. The whole thing is very clever and I wouldn’t expect anything less from a story by Aria Devon. I’ve yet to read something they’ve written I didn’t lap up!

I absolutely loved this, as traditional with Aria’s work, I got whiplash from the twists and turns! This is a quick read, easy to get into, detailed where it needs to be and fun to read. The ending *chefs kiss* and I can not wait for more!!
If you haven’t read anything by Aria, I absolutely recommend you do, she writes so well and it’s been an absolute pleasure to read her books 🫶🏻
This book was really good. The story was unique and the characters were well written. It took me a little bit to get invested in the story, but once I did, I couldn’t put it down. And there were some amazing twists I definitely didn’t see coming, that left me shaking my head. Definitely a recommended read!
Caleb and Talia once dated and he left three years ago, so she cursed him. A dark romance with twists that you do not see coming. An enemies to lovers second chance story. That I found to be different than most stories I read, a fun story to read. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a ride. Talia is a witch who is heartbroken about her ex cheating on her so she curses him. Anytime Caleb sleeps with a woman she dies due to his curse. The spice and kinky things happening in this book were good. That ending though… I did not see that coming it was great!! Nothing like a good plot twist
Wow! This book is was kind of hilarious because who hasn't wanted to do something like this? I know I have. I really felt bad for her because of what she went thru. Or what I thought she went thru. She is unhinged and obsessed with him. The ending was not what I thought at all. A great read though.
So I totally didn’t see that ending coming. Wow. That was an insane read. I read it in a day so it also pretty fast paced easy read. Every time I read something from Aria, I have no idea what to expect and I love it.
I don’t read many fun dark books but this was one fun crazy ride. Literally thought many times like what the hell is going on, this chick is psychotic 😂. But also good for her for getting revenge! Then the ending happened and WOW.
This book was a different but fun and twisty ride. I kinda loved that the FMC kept getting crazier the more we read and that the MMC is just a toxic womanizer that I’m not sure got better. Very quick Read perfect for a one shot
This was a bit more dark than I expected. But I really liked the story. The twists are so good! It's really good for a quick read that leaves you thinking, "WTF, did I just read?!"
Aria Devon does it again!! I absolutely love every book by this author. They are dark, twisted, and absolutely phenomenal! Do yourself a favor and read this book!
This was definitely different but good! It's a dark romance with some twists you don't expect. It's a quick read that you could accomplish in an afternoon or weekend depending on how fast you read. The characters are funny and crazy! Poor Caleb I don't think he knows what he is truly in for with Talia.Talia just keeps getting more nuts as the story goes on I swear! It's a unique story and I don't think I've read anything quite like it which is refreshing. It's got witchy vibes, enemies to lovers, second chance romance, curses, major stalker vibes, some spice Overall a really enjoyable and somewhat unusual read in a good way.
