I liked the vibes and the atmosphere in this book. From the very start there was tension and Cal's fear was palpable.

The world building was ok. I wish the planet was explored a bit more away from the jungle.

The creatures were deadly and fast. The author described them well and it was easy to picture just how terrifying they were.

I really wanted Jess's POV. She had been on the planet a lot longer and had managed to survive

Douglas delivers yet another gripping sci-fi horror experience with this fast-paced short story. From the moment Officer Cal Rho crash-lands on an uncharted planet, the tension is palpable. The eerie silence, the lurking danger, and the overwhelming sense of isolation create a perfect atmosphere for a nerve-wracking survival tale.

What I loved most about this story was the emotional rollercoaster it took me on. The mystery at the beginning kept me hooked, and I was constantly on edge, stressing over what would happen next. Just when I thought I had things figured out, the ending completely blindsided me! It was unexpected in the best way possible, leaving a lasting impact long after I finished reading.

If you enjoy isolation horror, high-stakes survival, and unpredictable twists, this short story is a must-read. Douglas once again proves his talent for crafting thrilling and immersive narratives. Highly recommended!
