Many beautiful photos / illustrations of eagles throughout this book, but I would have liked to have seen actual pictures of what was being described in the text. This happened rarely. For example, near the front of the book, the author / illustrator tells us there are "about 60 kinds of eagle around the world." Don't show me a picture of a large bird of prey, presumably an eagle with its mouth wide open or a pic of an eagle with its toes curled up. I want to see what many / most of those varieties look like.

At the bottom of each page are word meanings for terms that may not be familiar to young readers.

At the very end of the book is a short list of "Read More," as well as a list of websites for where to find more information.

I would recommend this children's nature photography book. The eagle photography is amazing! Words are well chosen and in very large print. Every turn of the page has one to two sentences. The facts are all correct but, fish are the eagle's number one food choice. Two websites are available at the back, but the BBC website is no longer found. The busybeekidscrafts.com website is found but is not a secure site.

This book is all about Eagles and readers are sure to love it! The book begins by informing readers what an eagle is. The book also informs readers all of the jobs an eagle has. The book provided special key terms the readers should know and understand. More information regarding eagles is provided in the back of the book for easy access. The pictures in the book are also amazing as they are real photographs of multiple eagles. For these reasons I am rating this book 5/5. It has great pictures with a lot of detail. This book is great for young readers.

This book is all about eagles and their appearance, habitats, what they do, and more fun facts. Included in this story is a fictional story about why people today respect eagles.
I liked this book and think it would be good when talking about eagles in particular, birds, birds of prey, or even America, since it's the nations bird.
