Maha an Arabian American was born in Saudi Arabia in Riyadh in a time of transitions and change. She was encouraged during her upbringing to think differently, and to acquire the courage to lead a different life than what was expected from her peers, which she did and still doing.
She travelled and lived in many places, studied and researched her subject of interest, wrote and published articles in various publications in the Middle East before she settled on only focusing on her books. She tried and still trying to find answers to those deep questions we all struggle with about life, love, and our spiritual aspirations.
Maha's interest in Sufism and spirituality brought her to the belief that love was never presented to us in its absolute truth, that love is one though it may present itself in various ways, and that our divine nature and our human nature when it comes to love are not truly separate. This confusion about what love is and we distorted it, may account for our struggle and suffering in our relationships and the difficulties we face in finding and keeping love.
Her writings and books main focus is the subject of love when the divine and the human merge together in one presentation of true love that manifests itself in our world through the form.
Maha studied in Saudi, then the UK and has a degree from Duke University. She studied medicine and business administration.
Currently she lives in Dubai.
Maha is a writer and a physician, a writer and an entrepreneur. She has two daughters who bring much love into her life.
