Lots of interesting things going on in this story.
Fast paced from the very beginning with an awesome protector hero to help.
I loved the forced proximity that took them out of their comfort zone to work together.
And the suspense! Loved it! Couldn't put this book down! Had to see what happened next.
Christmas is my favorite time of year so I definitely loved the setting.
Lynn has done a marvelous job in bringing these characters realistic. This story was fantabulous!!
5 stars for keeping me interested all the way through.
My thanks for the opportunity to read and review. I was NOT required to write a positive review

I believe I've read all of Lynn's books, and they never fail to deliver on fast-paced action. Her latest is no exception. This one has a different twist: an illegal adoption ring amid the Amish community. Vanessa is a well-developed and relatable character, and her relationship with Carter develops at a realistic pace. The action is non-stop and quickly pulls readers in. The romance angle does not overwhelm the danger Vanessa and Carter are facing. And there are ample suspects to keep readers guessing. I look forward to reading the remaining books in this series.

Wow - lots of action! Vanessa is a midwife at a small clinic that serves Amish ladies also. She by chance overhears a conversation between a coworker and someone on the phone about kidnapping a woman and her unborn baby and it's an Amish mother! What? Now someone is trying to kill Vanessa! Can Vanessa and Lt. Carter Flint figure out what is going on and who is behind this scheme of taking infants? before they steal another or Vanessa is killed?

This was a great story. I received this book from the publisher but was under no obligation to give a favorable review. This is my honest opinion and I loved the book!

Another five star book from Dana Lynn. This story pulls you in from page one and continues throughout the rest of the book. There’s plenty of action along the way. There’s also a little romance thrown in. I was given a complementary copy of this book and the opinions are my own.

Vanessa Hall just thought it was another day as a midwife, little did she know that she was going to prevent a kidnapping of her pregnant Amish patient that day. Now she's made someone mad and becomes a target. She must rely on Lieutenant Carter Flint to keep her safe. He's determined to protect her at all costs as the police investigate to find out what is going on. Vanessa just wants to be a midwife and now she's stumbled onto an illegal adoption ring targeting Amish families. Her and Carter must stay one step ahead of the criminals but they seem to know their every move. This book was so full of suspense and was fast paced. Such a unique story. Great read Dana R. Lynn!

Good clean read and exciting story line….but not quite as good as some. It was basically one long chase scene…but it did keep your interest.

AMISH MIDWIFE WITNESS by Dana R. Lynn is a phenomenal action-packed, suspenseful story centered around Vanessa Hall, certified nurse midwife, and Lieutenant Carter Flint as they fight to catch an illegal adoption ringleader and dodge danger around every corner.

Vanessa comes from a loving, Christian home. Was it accident or rebellion that she fell for the “bad boy” type guy? Whatever the reason, it had disastrous effects leaving her facing a pregnancy and miscarriage alone. To ashamed to turn to her family, it caused a void to develop between them. She changed her plans from becoming a veterinary to being a nurse midwife. It is her way of helping women. Since she can’t trust men, she’s accepted that she will never become a mother herself.

Carter loves his job, but at home he carries a heavy load. His sister committed suicide due to bullying. His mother, diagnosed with dementia, blames him for her death. In her mental state, she’s always berating him and reminding him that he’s worthless and untrustworthy for not protecting his sister. He’s determined to change her opinion of him someday. Her words not only hurt, but have convinced him that he isn’t worth a happily-ever-after. He’s resigned himself as unworthy for a soulmate and is content to keep helping to capture the bad guys and justice for victims.

Vanessa’s peaceful life is upturned when she over hears a phone conversation between her medical assistant and an unknown male talking about kidnapping a baby from Sterling Ridge Medical Clinic. While extremely shocked, she has the security guard to call 911 and stays with her to make sure she doesn’t leave. Lt. Flint was the first to arrive. That phone call led to a sniper killing Mandy and attempting to do the same to Vanessa. Vanessa instantly becomes the hunted, but who is the hunter?

Can Carter change Vanessa’s opinion of men? Dare she begin to trust one? Can helping Vanessa make the voice of his mother’s sharp tongue in his mind lessen? When it appears there’s a leak somewhere, who do they trust? By going undercover and without legal assistance, will it bring them closer to finding out who is behind the illegal adoption ring? With multiple attempts on both of their lives, can they survive to find out?

AMISH MIDWIFE WITNESS in a stupendous, suspense filled story that is impossible to put down once you start reading it. Dana R. Lynn gives us a story of overcoming one’s past, intrigue, family, forgiveness, suspense, romance, trust and danger while wrapping it in a wonderful thread of faith. AMISH MIDWIFE WITNESS is a FIVE STAR book that I highly recommend to everyone!

AMISH MIDWIFE WITNESS is the first book in the Amish Country Danger series, which has this reading very excited at the prospect of the next book in the series.

I receive an ARC of this book with no requirement or expectations of a review. All opinions are completely my own.

Terrific start to the new series. The author excels at grabbing my attention from the first pages, and this was no exception. I stayed up way too late finishing the book because I could not put it down.

Vanessa is a certified nurse-midwife in a small clinic in western Pennsylvania. The clinic serves both Amish and non-Amish patients. As the story opens, Vanessa overhears another employee talking about kidnapping a pregnant Amish woman and selling the infant. Horrified, Vanessa confronts the woman and calls the police.

Lieutenant Carter Flint is one of two police officers who respond. They succeed in protecting the Amish woman before she is medevacked to another hospital, but the suspect employee is murdered as they leave the clinic. A second shot fired at Vanessa sends her scrambling for cover. Carter is determined to keep her safe, though Vanessa initially believes she is in no danger.

The suspense of this book was fantastic, and kept me glued to the pages from start to finish. Vanessa and Carter quickly realize they are dealing with an illegal adoption ring that targets Amish families. They work together to identify potential targets while attempting to discover who is behind the ring. Their efforts are complicated by the need to escape several attacks, leading them to believe there is a leak in the investigation. The intensity ramped up with every attack until the shocking final confrontation. I loved Vanessa's ability to stay calm and controlled, especially in the aftermath. There was an unexpected twist at the end of that scene that complicated Carter's plans.

I enjoyed watching the development of Carter and Vanessa's relationship. The attraction was there from the start, but both have pasts that have affected their belief in themselves. Carter carries a load of guilt over his sister's death, feelings exacerbated by his mother's dementia-fueled accusations. Vanessa suffered a betrayal and tragedy years earlier that affected her faith and her relationship with her family. I liked seeing how Vanessa and Carter's time together helped them overcome their pasts and find love and healing together. The hospital scene was sweet and emotional, and the epilogue was adorable.

I loved meeting Vanessa's family. Their love and worry for their sister were evident in every scene. I especially enjoyed seeing them pull Carter into their family circle. I like the friendship between Carter and Brett, and hope to see him get his own story. He seems like a great guy. I also liked the references to LaMar Pond and Sutter Springs, as well as to the characters from some of those books.

A quote
For a while, it seemed the abductions had slowed, while some hoped they’d ended altogether. Carter disagreed. He thought those heading up the operation were regrouping and maybe moving to a new location.
Sadly, he had been proven correct.
A month after the first kidnappings, a Mennonite couple reported a newborn missing. The little girl had disappeared during the night while her family slept. They found evidence that the parents had been drugged. How remained a mystery.
I recommend this book.

Thank you Dana for allowing me to be a part of this launch.

Amish Midwife Witness by Dana R. Lynn

An illegal adoption ring, a group of people who are pacifists and a nurse willing to fight for them.

When Vanessa Hall, a Certified Nurse-Midwife, mistakenly overhears her medical assistant on the phone discussing an pregnant Amish woman who was coming into the clinic with an emergency, and that it would, "be the time to take the baby" Vanessa was horrified.
She confronted her assistant not realizing the person on the other end had not hung up and heard the beginning of her discussion. The next thing she knows a bullet rang out and killed Mandy, her assistant. Then moments after the police arrive another bullet whizzes through the clinic.
Once things calmed down, she spoke with Lieutenant Carter Flint and told him about what she overheard. Then when someone shot at her again, Lieutenant Flint decided that she needed to be in protective custody. As the information came to light as to how many women had their babies stolen, it was obvious that these women were targeted because the Amish don't fight back. Vanessa worked with Lieutenant Flint to create a list of Amish women who are pregnant so they could warn them and their husbands and their families.

This book explodes with mystery, intrigue and action in the first two chapters and does not slow down.

Vanessa Hall has a target on her back from an unseen enemy. Lieutenant Carter Flint will protect Vanessa at any cost.

The whole premise behind this mystery was chilling with baby abductions and illegal adoptions, which was made even more horrific considering the perpetrators were targeting young Amish women. Time is not on their side.

Both main characters were very likeable. Vanessa was a true hero without a cape. Her willingness to help save others was heroic. She was fearless, stubborn and tenacious. I really admired her spunk. Carter is carrying a heavy burden, but he puts all of that aside to keep Vanessa safe while also trying to solve this mystery. I felt such empathy for his personal situation, but also admired his willingness to face danger head on.

Dana Lynn does a bang up job of keeping the mystery hot from cover to cover with wild and crazy twists that, quite frankly, blew me away several times. This one is well worthy of five stars.

Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is an enthralling and accelerating story like a roller coaster with the twists, turns and hidden obstacles. Vanessa cared deeply about her Amish patients and one specific event turned her world upside down. Lieutenant Carter is leading the investigation of attempted kidnapping. This is one difficult case with multiple attempts to take Vanessa and Carter out why striving to solve the string of abductions in their rural area. The situations, characters, hidden secrets of our hero and heroine and Vanessa’s faith issues interwoven throughout the tale are realistic and relatable. Dana R. Lynn never disappoints with her suspense books, and this one was intense from the opening till the end.

I was honored to receive an early copy of this book without any obligation to write a positive review. I have expressed my own thoughts.

A story that won't disappoint. Dana Lynn puts together such a story line that keeps you glued to your seat as you turn the pages as fast as the fast pace adrenaline rush the characters are experiencing.

Vanessa a midwife nurse and Carter a lieutenant come together to bring down a murder that has Vanessa in his sight. While also stopping a adoption illegal ring in the Amish community.

From page one author Dana Lynn doesn't disappoint. With every page there is suspense, mystery and solving who is the main person behind this evil project. And with each one holding back secrets and pains. This Christmas is sure to be a roller coaster one that will surprise and pull you in at the end.

I received a ARC from the author publisher. All stated here are my own. I was not required to leave a positive comment.

Amish Midwife Witness is a great story! I didn’t want to put it down. Lieutenant Carter Flint and Nurse Vanessa Hall are perfect together. They both have personal issues to work through and are great at their jobs. Carter has faith in/a relationship with God while Vanessa did but after a traumatic experience in college she turns her back on God for several years. They weren’t looking to find a relationship, but God brought them together in a very dramatic way. God uses the situation to help them both with their own issues and Vanessa rediscover her faith as well. This story has suspense, a kidnapping and illegal adoption ring targeting Amish families, murder, faith, working through past trauma, reconnecting with family. It has it all and the way Dana weaves it all together is so good!

Learning of an illegal adoption ring that abducts pregnant Amish women for their babies puts midwife Vanessa Hall in grave danger. Police Lieutenant Carter Flint promises to keep Vanessa safe while trying to shut down the adoption ring. Somehow the criminals keeping finding them to attack Vanessa. Not knowing who to trust, Carter and Vanessa are desperate to stop the kidnappers before any more babies or expectant mothers disappear. Can they stay alive long enough?

This fast-paced, peril-packed story kept me enthralled all the way to the end. I could not put this book down and cannot wait for the next book in this series. I definitely recommend this nail-biting, intriguing suspense. I received an advance copy to read and this is my honest opinion.

Dana R. Lynn really knows how to get the action started and draw you in right away! Vanessa Hall is a certified midwife and she overhears something she shouldn’t. After her coworker gets murdered, it’s clear that Venessa is next on the list. Police Officer Carter Flint is tasked to protect her. Oh, the obstacles they have to overcome!!
Both of them had major trauma in their past. But God plays a part in their lives and he has a plan for the both of them. I totally binged this. It was great seeing some of the characters from Dana Lynn’s other books. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Author Dana Lynn kicks off a new series with Amish Midwife Witness, and wow, is it a doozy! Vanessa Hall is a midwife who prevents an attempted kidnapping of an Amish patient. Now she's a target, and Lt. Carter Flint is set on keeping Vanessa safe.
Both of them have emotional burdens, but I loved to see how the Lord is woven throughout the story leading them through all of the action and suspense. Those sweet moments between the big ones. I can't wait for more in this series! Plus, y'all know by now I'm obsessed with epilogues, and I'm happy as a pig in a poke with this one!
My thanks for the complimentary copy of this book. My opinion is entirely my own.

Another well written, attention getter book from page one by the talented Dana R Lynn. If you are looking for a “keep you on the edge of your seat” novel, this is the one for you. Who is behind the evil lurking to abduct unsuspecting Amish women babies for an illegal adoption ring? At what expense or whose life will have to be given to solve this mystery? I enjoyed having a storyline that is so different from others and one you don’t read about very often. Be sure to put this one on your to be read pile. You won’t want to miss it.

I was given a complimentary copy book from the author. All words are my own.

Another excellent book written by Dana R. Lynn. For the beginning of a brand new series this book kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Carter and Vanessa's story as well as getting to know some brand new characters. I definitely was not expecting to find out who the ringleader of the illegal adoption ring ended up being. Definitely someone I would not expect to want to get involved in something like that which made it all the more interesting. I look forward to reading more books from this brand new series.

Amish Midwife Witness by Dana R. Lynn is an action-packed tale. I was quickly drawn into the story, and my interest was held until I turned the last page. The action made it lively, with added mystery and suspense. Someone was determined to capture Vanessa (they were relentless). Pregnant Amish woman near their due date were not safe. Vanessa and Carter were likable, realistic, and relatable characters. They both have romantic baggage which kept them from pursuing the chemistry between them. The constant threats to their lives and their perilous journey may overcome their fears (you will have to read it to find out). The characters face dangers that test their courage, and the epilogue provides closure. The story also touches on a sensitive topic that may be a trigger for some individuals. Amish Midwife Witness is a page turner with a fatal phone call, abducted babies, battling bullets, car crashes, fierce flames, romantic chemistry, and a critical rescue.

A fast paced, action packed, suspense that reads like a curvy, narrow, mountainous ride that you don’t know what to expect coming up next. With great characters and writing that draws you in from the beginning you definitely don’t want to miss the first book in the new Amish Country Danger series. A quick read that is engrossing and leaves you wanting more.
