This is an ARC review. I want to thank Belle Calhoune and Harlequin- Romance for allowing me the chance to read this book ahead of release day!

Hudson and Molly’s love story is an inspiring story is about their God fearing abilities and resiliency to grow not just in life but in faith. With Hud making a comeback into Serenity Peak, Alaska he came in with good hearted intentions just not with great execution. All the facts are needed before he went the route he did.

But honestly without the facts it brought them the ability to complete their one month test trial to determine what would be the best direction! These two had great communication skills and lived by the Word of God.

This is a very wholesome and uplifting love story that reminds you “compassion doesn’t cost you a thing”.

AN ALASKAN CHRISTMAS PRAYER by Belle Calhoune is the wonderful story of Molly Truitt, owner of the Humbled, and Hudson Doherty, on a mission to claim his grandmother’s rightful legacy. Together they bump heads, work together at Humbled and possibly find a way to have a future.

Molly inherited Humbled, her grandmother’s book store and café. With hard work and sweet equity, she feels her grandmother would be proud. However, her person life seems to be a constant dead in. First it was Hud, who just packed up and left without a word as to why, leaving Molly heart broken and with many unanswered questions. There has only been one other man and that didn’t work out either. With Hud’s back in town and suing her for part of Humble, she’s determined not to let Hub back in her life - personally or professionally.

Hudson has always felt like the black sheep of the family often feeling his father’s disapproval. His Nana had always been in his corner and urged him to follow his dream. That dream didn’t turn out to be what he envisioned. It even cost him the last days with his Nana making attending her funeral just too much to bear. He was assigned to tend to her estate. It led him to finding evidence that his Nana should have been given more of Humbled than an item on the menu named after her. To rectify that, and without consulting anyone in the family, he came back to Serenity Peak to serve Molly papers on suing for his grandmother’s rightful part of Humbled.

While Hudson may have served Molly at Humbled, Molly confronted him in front of his unaware family at their home. With word getting around, Abel Drummond, well-respected owner of Sugar Works, also shows up to work as moderator. He successfully gets them to agree to work together for 30 days. Can they do it?

With past feelings, good and bad, can they pull of working together? Will old feeling reoccurring complicating matters? How can they honor both grandmothers and find a happy medium?

AN ALASKAN CHRISTMAS PRAYER is the exceptional story where the past crashes into the present, which might possibly become the start of their future. What starts out as head butting turns to listening, which is something we can all learn from, and acceptance. Belle Calhoune gives us a story of hard work, the ability to admit to one’s mistakes, learning from the past, second chances, being honest with both others and one’s self, romance and layers it all with a thread of faith. AN ALASKAN CHRISTMAS PRAYER is a fabulous FIVE STAR story well worth reading anytime of the year.

While the 5th book in the Serenity Peak series, AN ALASKAN CHRISTMAS PRAYER can most definitely be read as a standalone book.

I received a copy of this book with no requirement or expectations of a review. All opinions are completely my own.

An Alaskan Christmas Prayer by Belle Calhoune

An Uplifting Inspirational Romance (Serenity Peak Book 5)

My favorite quote is
Molly held out her hand.
“Let’s call a truce for the next thirty days,” she said. “Agreed?”

Hudson reached out and shook her hand. “Agreed,” he said. He was so surprised by the unexpected feelings between them that he quickly let go of her hand.

Molly’s eyes widened. Whatever this was, she’d felt it too. He wasn’t imagining things.

“I’ve got to go,” she said, quickly putting on her parka and heading toward the door.

“I should get back to it myself,” Abel said. “I’ll walk you out, Molly. See you soon, Hudson.”
I recommend this book.

Molly Truitt is grateful everyday to run her cafe-bookstore, Humbled, in her charming community of Serenity Peak, Alaska. Another fine day crumbles, though, when former boyfriend Hudson Doherty blows back into town threatening to sue for half the business. She hasn't seen him in a decade...who does he think he is? To do things "the Serenity Peak way", they agree to work together for a month. As Hudson learns the business, old feelings crop up, misunderstandings give way to forgiveness, and the two just might discover that coming together - in work and love - might just be what the Lord wants for them.
I loved An Alaskan Christmas Prayer by author Belle Calhoune, not just because of Molly and Hud, but also because it was a joy to read how the Lord worked in their hearts to strengthen each of their relationships with Him as they found love with each other. I want to move to Serenity Peak (even though I just wrote in another Belle Calhoune review that I want to move to Moose Falls, AK. Can we just combine all of the author's amazing Alaska towns into one and make it real?)!
My thanks for the complimentary copy of this book. My opinion is entirely my own.

What a fun story! Molly is loving her life as an owner of the local cafe/bookstore, Humbled. She feels close to her grandmother who started the place. All of the sudden one day her former sweetheart, Hudson, blows into town with a lawsuit claiming his grandmother helped established the cafe "back in the day" and he deserved co-ownership! She hasn't seen him in a decade! Besides, he couldn't get out of town fast enough back then and never gave her a reason for leaving her and their relationship. She was devastated then and she feels the same now.
After mediation, they decide to work together for 30 days and then decide what to do. Those 30 days make all the difference. I really enjoyed how they worked together to make the cafe/bookstore a more thriving place. I liked the other two employees too! I loved the characters from previous books popping in and catching up on how they've been doing! Serenity Park is a special town with a sense of community. Hudson has forgotten how much he loves the place but now that he's back, he never wants to leave! Hud and Molly were a great couple, and it was fantastic how they finally made their way back together!

What a great pick me up story! Molly Truitt has put everything into her family’s bookstore/ Cafe that she took over after her grandmother passed away. And is proud that she has been able to make a success out of it. But when Hud Doherty returns to Serenity Peak Alaska with the intention of taking back what should have been his grandmothers, everything hangs in the balance. Both their grandmothers were best friends and both worked to make Humbled a place where everyone loved to visit. And their legacies are important, but at what cost. HUD has already broke Molly’s heart once and now he has reason to do it again unless, the truth comes out and minds and hearts can be changed and healed. This story is so uplifting! Second chance, faith , family and friends! I love the characters and the family support. I would truly love to visit and spend Christmas in this amazing town!

Loved this sweet second chance at romance by Belle Calhoun! Set the in beautiful Alaska, I always look forward to and enjoy reading this authors’ books, and this book definitely did not disappoint!
Trying to honor both of their grandmothers’, the two main characters find themselves “fighting” for their right for a beloved shop, they each feel belongs in part to their grandmother and will stop at nothing to see justice served. Yet when their hearts start to get involved, can they set aside their personal issues, or will they pass on this opportunity for love in order to get their grandmother what they each feel is deserved.
I received a copy of this book by the author, but was not required to give a positive review. This is my honest option of the book.

Molly cannot believe it when Hudson, her former beau, swoops back into town claiming that his grandmother basically helped start the bookstore that HER grandmother started and it should be half his. They are ready to fight for what they both believe to be theirs. Only a truce mediated by a good friend of both of their families keeps them from coming to blows. But they only agreed to 30 days. As love blossoms again between them, can they come to terms of a long-term truce, or will they let the ownership of Humbled tear them apart forever? I loved this journey with Molly and Hudson through this trying time. Read it to find out what they end up doing.

I was instantly swept up and put smack into the middle of Molly's store, the; Humbled Bookshop-Cafe in Alaska! It was the perfect book to get me in the mood for Christmas. I loved getting to see (because let's be honest, Belle writes so vividly it's like watching a movie!) Molly and Hudon's relationship growing into something so beautiful even though they are both going through the grieving process of losing their grandma during the Holiday season.
I also want to add that I was sent this to read and review, thank you for the opportunity!

I have read several books by this author and have loved all of them. This book drew me first with the beautiful cover, then with the main character of Molly. She was mentioned in another book in this series so I was waiting for her to be the main character. She is the owner of a café-bookstore. I was also drawn to this novel because I love the name of the town the story is set in. There were so many amazing aspects to this novel and I cannot wait until the next Serenity Peak book. I highly recommend it.

I received a complimentary copy from the author. The opinions in this review are my own.

An exceptional Christmas read! This story is definitely based on an unexpected holiday reunion in the small town of Serenity Peak. Two families trying to honor the memory of their grandmothers who were best friends. Could a falling out between them change their futures? Absolutely! This book includes vengeance based on memory, past hurts, broken hearts & relationships and family. Can a lawsuit between the two families be the solution? The ending took me totally by surprise when revealed. Does the love between two people really matter for the future? Possibly you’ll need to read to find out.

What a blessing this story is.
Molly has been running her grandmother's bookstore/ cafe. Hudson, Molly's old high school flame, is back in town and wholeheartedly believes that the store should belong to his grandma too. They agree to work together for a month to see if they can resolve things before going to court over it. Will old flames rekindle? 5 stars
