Ruthless Fate is the fourth and final instalment in the Midnight Psychos series by Steph Macca.

I think this series wrapped up pretty well, the plot development paid off and I felt like the relationships between Nyx and her alphas was as good as they could be. I actually liked seeing Nyx's growth as a character, and seeing everything come together in the ending.

I did find this one to be a bit rushed, and founds bits to be pretty predictable, but overall a decent ending to a good series.

A good ending

I've been waiting for this book to come out since I finished the first three last year! This series was unique for a shifter why choose romance. This last book was a nice ending though it was shorter than is hoped. I genuinely liked this series as a whole this book was just okay compared to the first three.

Could we have gotten more detail on the war? Sure. And was i hoping for more spicy time? Of course. Was the ending a tad predictable? Kind of. But did i still enjoy it for what it was? Definitely!

Loving the growth in Nyx. Such a different woman to who we met in Book 1 ♥️
Even Maverick accepting that he is a goner for Nyx. I love his vulnerability
These men are perfection.
Omg when Alex and Cade mind link with Nyx and Maverick whilst fcking. So funny. I love it.
Finally she had her alphas all together. And then boom shit happens.
Steph is the Queen of Why Choose ♥️
This book was a great way to end the series. So happy they all got what they deserved.
Lex, Maverick and Cade have definitely made it to book boyfriends list. 🥵🔥🥰

“She’s unapologetically herself—even against alphas. I guess that should have been the first sign she was different. It’s against our nature to defy alphas, yet she has done so to every one she has ever met—even her own.”

This one was a quick book to end the story and tie up loose ends, which it succeeded but the ending felt a little rushed to me.

I love this series overall so will absolutely read it again.

I enjoyed this shifter romance overall, it's unlike anything I've really read before! The books itself were quick reads, and the drama kept on unfolding, so it was easy to be invested and fly through these!

Side note- I will say idk that this qualifies as a dark omegaverse - the omegaverse elements are super minimal and idk that I find the content super dark? (At least in comparison to Steph's other series). However, I still super enjoyed this!!

I think she tied up the series beautifully. She never has to pick it up again if she decides not to. I hope that she left a window open for a spin off series. I enjoyed the series. I will say it was different to her other dark why choose series but I still really enjoyed each book.

This book was the perfect ending, I loved the relationships with the alphas, the why choose and honestly the plot plotted! 🥰

Another Great series by Macca!! Love how these books are so easy to get into. From the first chapter till the last is captivating.
