How can a guy who can't find two matching socks be qualified to lead anyone?
An ancient prophecy declared that Zack Thomson, orphaned son of a great vampire hunter, would come back from the dead and either lead humanity into the light—or destroy it. Now the End of Days for vampires is here, the old order is eroding, and from the ashes of that ruin a new world will arise. Will Zack become the great leader the new order so desperately needs? And which of his friends, allies and enemies will survive to learn the answer?
Started strong and adventurous as the first 2 books in the series, but then started getting too obscure and very sci-fi. Was hard to follow the plot as there were too many twists. At the end there was a lot left to speculation and slightly unrealistic turn of events out of character for the heroes of the story, and others completely forgotten from the storyline. Would have been better if Turner stayed true to their convictions. Awesome fight scene at the end though.
Funny enough, I never read the final book in the trilogy before. Night Runner was, and probably still is, one of my favorite book I read in my early teens. It was a part of the collection of books that resparked my interest in fantasy. It's also one of the many vampire books that I could never get bored of. I've never gotten to reading this book, so it's about damn time. Was it worth it? Well...yes and no. I would've liked more explanations after that last chapter. It felt like something was missing, but at the same time I can see how it ends there. I suppose I was just expecting a bit more.
I would like to understand the ending of the book. When I read the last line, I literally sat there for a full minute staring at the page. Confused. Mad. Am I missing the last chapter?? I DONT GET IT!!!!! The whole series was fantastic! So you can understand my disappointment once I got to the end. 💔
I love this series and I could read them over and over again but I would love it if another book came out, and if there is can someone help me find it?
The ending of the Night Runner series was bitter sweet, I enjoyed it but it left me saddened. Saddened for the ones we lost and for the sort of cliffhanger ending the book had. While I doubt more books will be written there is a piece of me that wishes so.
