Congratulations to Willard Ray on his debut book! Welcome to the horror community! This was absolutely nasty and gross and splatterpunkerific. I kept thinking to myself that this read like a Simon McHardy book, which isn't a bad thing. And the show stealer here was the use of the term 'pork sword,' which had me laugh out loud at work. Everyone looked at me, but no one asked what was so funny. Believe me, I would have told them, too. After all, I haven't had my annual refresher of sexual harassment training and workplace ethics yet, so I could just plead ignorance of my conduct. Back to the story, Randy Joe, our lead, is just a white trash rockstar with a massive...ego...and penis. And both of those attributes get him into all sorts of shenanigans in real life and online, too. Every type of bodily fluid is given its time in the spotlight here and you'll finish this book questioning your path in life. Lots of fun and tons of nausea-inducing content, this was a great way to start my day.

Firstly this is Willard’s debut, so I didn't know what to expect, except that it was gonna be bloody, horrific and depraved. Coincidentally, all of my favourite things. And boy did he show up!
This doesn't read like a debut, the writing is great, very descriptive, giving very vivid images, even when you'd rather not have them.. 😂, and the smells...... 🤢, after the first chapter alone, I felt like I needed a bath, in bleach!
It's full of depravity and debauchery, and it's so fast paced, you'll blast through this like a bad case of diarrhea! I couldn't put it down, it had me gripped tight and gagging through the whole delightfully disturbing ordeal!
It's hilariously, and stomach churningly grim. And I've learnt so many new words for penis 😂
Randy Joe has a cushty little money maker, but he's riddled with shame about his other urges and pleasures. And that causes him to lose his shit to try and save face. His prejudices ingrained since childhood, eventually lead to the killer karma he receives as a result.
Randy Joe is a real man, with real needs, and a whole lot of real nastiness too, in many ways. The brilliantly satisfying, sick, depraved and torturous revenge alongside his horrific humiliation were extremely satisfying. The Freedom Stroker, stroking the life out of and stripping any masculinity from him, quite literally, was sick, unique genius.
A man's revenge, full of agonising torture, relentlessly eating away at him until his mind snaps, and his insignificance reigns supreme. Brutal, savage, barbaric, and utterly remorseless.
"Yeah, Randy Joe, ever had your dumper stretched by a whole forest's worth of wilderness willy?”
"..a funk so potent, it could've gagged a maggot.”

This was one heck of a debut. I enjoyed seeing someone like Randy Joe get what he deserves. The writing was top tier. I could literally see and smell the trailer that our mc called home. The pacing was perfect. This was absolutely disgusting and wild in the best of ways. I cannot wait to see what else this author does. MAGA beware! The Butt Buzzer is bringing justice!

Who else can give a new primal meaning to “de-gloved.” I can’t wait to see what other raw and unfiltered experiences Willard Lawson Ray has up his immoral sleeveless sleeve.
Just a pinch of Randy Joe between your cheek and gum is all it takes to make a Saint sweat and a preacher drop their Bible. I’ll never be able to drink a Yoo-hoo the same way again. A five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Horror Bookworm Recommendation.

Thankful for being able to participate in the arc reading of this first of all 🖤
Secondly , i’m horrible at reviews BUT: I will say if you are from the south you will be able to smell and hear this book (I won’t put spoilers , but if ykyk) … This book, was perfect as somebody who is from the south yes it’s full of some gruesome shit but, as somebody from the south and knows people with a heart like randy joe’s god this book is REFRESHING.
ALSO: prepare to leave this book with several new southern ways so say dick (I was also left cackling so much throughout this short read)

The descriptions of the filth inside Randy's trailer and of the way he smells.. ugh 😫 you can smell it through the screen. It's so disgusting. Also, the sheer number of ways his 🍆 is described is hilarious 😂

Well, Holy fucking Cannoli. I haven’t been this excited to scream praises for a debut like this in a while. 🥳
Per always, I went into the book blind. But given the title, I had a feeling it was going to be pretty brutal… and I was right. However, I didn’t expect this to be written the way it was. I am impressed beyond impressed. Everything about this book is top notch. By chapter 3, I was literally messaging Willard with my notes and praising the style, tone and just overall vibe. This is splatterpunk done smart. 🤌🏼
Willard’s ability to paint an image using words is a 10/10 for me. Super detailed without feeling wordy. If that makes sense? Again, it’s such a vibe. And make no mistake… like I said before, this book gets fucking brutal. There was a scene or two that even I may or may not have skimmed. 🫣😅

I didn’t know what I was getting into at the start of this book. It kept me very interested tho. This being an extreme horror AND a homophonic Revenge story was absolute Genius.
Randy Joe is a Grotesque human who deserves everything that happened.
The unfortunate reality of hate that’s breed within the world today was well done. Along with the fact Randy Joe didn’t care and thought a hole is a hole…
Sir you definitely have internalized Homophobia that shit ain’t cute.
Yes this is fiction but the reality of a person running around hitting local gay hotspots just to kill them for being gay is a very very real thing. I enjoyed this story so much. My favorite part was towards the end when All his trophies started to tell him all the things they were going to do to him. Reminded me of the Evil dead movie where he’s being berated by the deer head on the wall.

Randy Joe is your regular macho redneck American MAGA loving asshole who lives in the deep woods in his run down trailer. He makes his money online by performing for racist people like himself and he enjoys doing it. Randy wouldn't call himself gay, but he does enjoying bending men over. One day, a sex toy company contacts him to see if he would make content with 2 of their toys. Of coarse Randy says yes, but he doesn't know he's in for a delicious uno reverse.
Now this is how I enjoy my torture, raw! The descriptions of Randy's trailer and his living ways were disgusting and well written. You could really feel the grime on the walls with this story. You could smell the sweat and blood through the lines. You could even hear the mac and cheese sounds while flipping the pages. Randy Joe is a character you will love to hate for many reasons. For this being the authors debut, this was done very well. I'm excited to see more from him. Release date is March 8th!

For his first book this one blew my mind! Willard is definitely an author to be on the lookout for! This crazy story is about a redneck named Randy Joe who gets 2 life changing “toys” from an admirer of his live videos! The most brutal part I would have to say was the ending! Please before you read this make sure to read the trigger warnings as this book has quite a few! And isn’t just horror, it's Splatterpunk!

An excellent splatterpunk debut! As a resident of the Austin area, this grimy story of redneck prejudice and Skoal-infused penile lust was extremely entertaining and poignant. Highly recommended to splatterpunk and extreme horror fans.

I was not mentally prepared to travel back to a place I left so many years ago. I was born and raised in a small hick town just north of Houston, Tx. I've unfortunately known a many Randy Joe's in my time. Even if you didn't come from a country bumkin hick town trailer park, Willard Lawson Ray will make you feel like you did. You will feel like you're inside that disgusting trailer, and you can't get a shower fast enough! You will despise the MC as much as I do. I'm sure in some way or another, we've all encountered a royal piece of shit like Randy Joe. This is the right time for this story! I absolutely loved how it's written. This has more references for man meat than a song from The Bloodhound Gang! 🍖 🚀 💀 For a debut author, this was amazing! I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve next.

Disturbing and loved it. This was my first splatterpunk ive listened to and it's completely different than just reading. I gagged so bad. Body fluids everywhere! He did not hold back. Also, the humor that was in this book was hilarious.

I think this might be my first audiobook narrated by Carrieta and it was excellent, I am kind of picky on my voice’s and this is one I will be adding to my watch list!
Also thank you for letting me listen to this, love to dip my toes into the splatter world.

It takes a lot to put out a book, a debut novel especially. To put so much of yourself into something and then release it to the world, not knowing how it will be received? Did you miss anything? Are all your opening/closing quotation marks going in the right direction? Did you use every word for “dingus” known to man? Ok, maybe that last one isn’t universal, but it would be if you were Willard Lawson-Ray. Especially if you brought a vivid, intelligent, & compelling debut novel that just so happens to involve much-merited manhood mastication.
Quick synopsis:
You know a Randy Joe, in this day & age, we all probably do. If you enjoy your peace, you already blocked them weeks ago. The hateful, blissfully ignorant, xenophobic bigot who talks a big game behind a screen name but whose actions never match their words. The kind that doth protest too much. He doesn’t own a pet shop, but he’s had a cockatoo, if you get my drift. Anyhoo, imagine the satisfaction you would get seeing someone of that genus getting the comeuppance that they deserved, and then some. Lucky for us, Randy Joe’s hubris begetting his nemesis is streaming, live & in color.
Mark my words, Willard Lawson-Ray will be a name to watch. The amount of talent he showcases via expressive prose & thought-provoking nuance shrouded by some of the most gut-churning repugnance in this novella is something to truly marvel at. Once you get past the use of dip-spit & the impromptu male anatomy lesson that you didn’t ask for, that is. Fear much children, for I feel that this debut is just scratching the surface of what Lawson-Ray has to offer. There’s a new school of Splatterpunk authors with a hard P (schoolgirl giggle) that have a message to send; enveloped in blood & gore. I’m excited to see what else these innovators will bring to the genre, especially this talented new author. Congratulations & Happy Drop day!
