Oooohh man that’s good stuff

Oh boyo this is some good reading. Man I need to take a minute to think after that one.

Aight though onto some more words, book was pretty darn good. Plot, characters, world building, all going good. There was some ups and downs at points but on the whole pretty consistently good.

Couple things to pick at but only two I’ll bother to mention below:

One is the length of the other POVs,
-
to be clear I absolutely love the other povs and just that idea in general,
-
but the longer the series goes on and then the more that happens and then storylines diverge, it’ll get to a point where you could nearly write a novella or so and fit them into that. Hopefully Wes will meet back up with the others going forward which would mitigate that and merge the diverging subplots. Otherwise it could take up more and more space which would give less time to the main mc/plot dragging out the books and make it feel a bit “iffy”.
TLDR- pls would be better to have less pov chapters per “section”, no more than like 1 or 2 rather than constantly 3 per pov.

Other thing which is more a personal feel i think, is Wes growing and merging more with dragon half. But in the latter half that seems to happen naturally anyway which is good, so I just hope that continues to speed up and continue.

Also man I just want Wes to get a full dragon form😉😁 why?
Because dragons are cool as hell is why. Who wouldn’t wanna transform in a bigass dragon?

Regardless solid stuff and can’t wait for the next one.

An excellent story in need of a proofreader.

The latest instalment of the challenger's call series is an exciting rollercoaster of action and suspense. The characters continue to reach new heights even as danger grows and we learn more of the Expanses ancient past.

However as I mentioned in the title much of the text has blatant typos and errors such character names being used in the wrong place or duplicated text. This has been a persistent problem for the series that has little to no improvement even 10 books in.

Additionally the author seems to feel a need to stretch out the romance subplot between Davelon and Rachel as long as he did the one between Wes and Stell for no apparent reason.

Despite my complaints Raging Thrones was a fantastic read that I couldn't put down once I started. I eagerly await the next volume.

Such a long wait for what feels like very little

First, I like this book. I enjoy the story, the themes, it’s imaginative and fun. My problem with it is that it was a large gap in time for what is ultimately a book that just kinda sets everything up for the next book, but does little else. Sure, there’s some power growth, but the story feels largely stalled out, and mixed with frequent view point changes that don’t really add much to the story, it just leaves you wanting. Which is a real frustration since at the moment you have no idea how long the next book is going to take (it took around a year and a half for this book). If book 11 or further is out, then yea, go for it, it’s a good read, but if there’s still no indication as to when the next book is going to come out, then this book is probably not worth reading yet.

A Struggle

This should be an easy story to love. But it isn’t.

Teeth, Breena and even Val are just annoying at this point. Along with the flirtatious looks and innuendo by each of the Satellites. The magic is so unique but our MC just stumbles his way along

And, if that wasn’t enough, we still have the whole unrequited relationship storyline duplicated in Davelon and Rachel. Still.

Another long-awaited book in the series that left off where it started: Another major bad guy ahead.

Initially one of the most promising stories with potentially incredible magic and world-building that has just gone nowhere good.

Absolutely Incredible

Do you like heroes and villains fighting it out? Do you like overpowered sword and sorcery? Do you like proper storytelling and characters that make you get so invested that you are heartbroken when the book is over? You've found your series. From a deep understanding of what makes heroes tick to excellent banter, combined with vivid narratives that underscore the brilliance of heroism and the evil of villainy, Challengers Call is the best series on Amazon, bar none.

so hard to read

There’s a good story here with strong characters and interesting works building , but this book really needs an a competent editor. There is so much useless dialogue. The story is constantly interrupted by character’s philosophical musings. I get what the author is trying to do. I even happen to agree with many of the principles he espouses. That said, the author insists on testing himself over and over again. This even happens in the middle of battles. This was a good series but I don’t think I read another one.

Another amazing volume

This series keeps getting better and better. Follow the further adventures of Wes Malcolm and his friends and family as they work to save the worlds of the Starsworn and their inhabitants as they also go and process their own traumas at the same time. These books are very much like therapy, because they help validate feelings and experiences that everyone has. I just think this series rocks as Wes gains more power to take on the battle of Thrones.

Anticipation Abounds

Wes is back again after a hiatus and we'll missed this one does seem to slow down but we get the usual unexpected level ups and of course things progress closer to even bigger showdowns as Pangea becomes a deadly barrier to our Team.
Like how we take a little bit longer to avoid the massive jumps but still touch on the mental aspects which highlight Thompsons writing.

Another Great read

I've been a fan of the series for a long time now, and it never disappoints. A lot of times, you get this far into a series and things get repetitive, or the power creep makes everything seem ridiculous. But with Challengers Call, every step forward feels distinct, important, and significant. I cannot recommend this series enough.

Just keeps getting better

Just when it starts to feel like you know how it's going to play out, this book will surprise you! Another wonderful read from one of my favorite authors! Absolutely anyone who's ever felt like the injustice of the world is overwhelming should read this series and this book. All is Not Lost! Greater Things are Yet To Come!

Dang!

I never know how to really describe my experience in a review, but let me just say that I couldn't put this down. Multiple nights up late reading instead of getting beauty rest for work. Nathan Thompson works magic with his words. I cannot recommend this series enough and I will be deeply saddened when it is over.

If you’ve made it to book ten then you know what to expect from this series and hopefully love it as much as I do. This book is another fantastic entry and a must read if you’ve enjoyed the series so far.

Ten great books

Ten books into the series and it's still going strong. I enjoy the constant cycle of character growth and overcoming challenges in these books. The message is very pure but well done and not insultingly simple.
