In a hole in the ground there lives Brittany. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, but it is close. In a den made of books and empty coffee mugs lives Brittany and her merry petting zoo. Between five house cats, a rabbit, and a chinchilla, this wanna-be hobbit and her family are kept quite busy. After toddler snuggles and watching videos her husband finds absolutely necessary to show her, she finds time to write her books and more importantly, read others. Somewhere between wanting to be a surgeon and a marine biologist when she grew up, Brittany also wanted to be an author. Always being more of a reader than a writer, but loving English class, this seemed like a goal that was slightly out of reach—until now.

This was my first Norse mythology book and while it took time to figure it all out (100% a me issue, not the book) I’m so glad to have read this!
Brittany describes the story so well that it fully transported me right into it. I was there with Bree & Annie on their journey. The action scenes are very well done, too. While this is a fantasy the emotions you feel are very real. Bree’s determination when it comes to Annie pulled at all of my heart strings.
My heart was fully invested, and still is, in their stories and I can’t wait to see where book 2 takes us.
💀👑 Blood, magic, and a prophecy that does not come with a refund policy? Sign me up! ✨🔥 Best by Far by @bea.rose.books delivers a whirlwind of undead chaos, divine meddling, and heirs who just found out their family tree comes with a death sentence. No pressure, right? 😬
Bree and Annie aren’t just fighting for survival—they’re rewriting fate itself. 📝⚔️ With a Regent who’s basically the worst party crasher in history 🩸👀 and Ragnarök knocking at the door like an overdue bill collector 💨💥, this book kept me HOOKED. The stakes? Impossibly high. The magic? Chef’s kiss. The heartbreak? Rude, honestly. 😭💔
If you love found family, epic battles, and gods who clearly have a drama addiction, this one’s for you! 🙌🔥 Prepare to lose sleep and possibly your soul because Best by Far does not let go.
I am frothing at the mouth for book two already! I absolutely loved this one, the norse mythology interspersed throughout incredible fantasy worldbuilding was such a treat! Every character is so well built and I love the generational nature of the story.
I really feel like I can picture the seaside village the main characters call home, and I missed it's cozy familiarity as the journey progressed into tenser and tenser territory. Much like I feel the characters would on such an adventure.
Just a really solid read, I can't wait to not wait to read the next book and beyond.
Thank you so much Brittany for rhe eARC, I can not wait to purchase a physical copy!
Came for the promise of Norse fantasy, stayed for the wholesome and compelling family dynamics. Best By Far will take you into an immersive world with vast imagery that fans of Norse mythology and Vikings will appreciate, while not too overbearing for newcomers to this type of material. The story is told through an alternating perspective of Bree and Annie Ragna, a mother and daughter duo tasked with the impossible task of changing their own fate and correcting the course of the world. The trials that they will face will continue to test their bond and exemplify what it really means to be family. A strong first entry in the series and I am very excited to see how the story unfolds in the next!
Best By Far is a good fantasy story. We read about Bree and Annie on their adventure to face the Regent who stole the throne from Bree's family.
Brittany does a great job at character and world building. I enjoyed the first book in the Twilight of the Gods series and can't wait for the next!!

I really enjoyed this fantasy Norse mythology style of book! I loved the character development and the twist and turns of the magic system within the plot. The FMC's relationships with her family are so incredible and the dual POV was done so well. Thank you Brittany for providing me with an ARC of this book!
Thank you Brittany Graves for an eARC of Best By Far. I am so glad I got to join Bree and Annie on their journey back to the throne.
I am not terribly familiar with Norse mythology but thoroughly enjoyed the descriptions throughout the book. The imagery and prose Brittany uses captured my attention. I was able to clearly picture certain scenes, even the heartbreaking ones.
I especially enjoyed watching Annie find and master her magic with the guidance of her mother. The mother daughter bond described throughout BBF is the best by far. As a mom, I could relate to many of the feelings Bree experiences.
I cannot wait to continue the journey in the next installment of the Twilight of the Gods series.

What a great book by this first time author! I love the character development, the story line and I can totally picture the characters and settings with such good descriptions. It pulled me right into the story quickly and I was always waiting and wondering what was going to happen next. Cliffhanger ending! Can’t wait for the next one!
This was my first Norse mythology read and even though I am somewhat familiar with the names of the gods, this book helped bring understanding in the stories that involve them and throughly enjoyed how they were brought up throughout.
The thing that really shook me throughout this book was the death of Des and grief Bree goes through. I often related to Bree’s grief whenever there were (possibly unwanted) reminders, lingering thoughts, or horrifying dreams that felt way too realistic that quickly followed with waking up feeling absolutely crushed. The emotion in something so deep was put so well into words in what it truly feels like.
I also felt a lot of anticipation of what would happen next as the chapters went on and I loved guessing what I think would happen before something actually did. I was SO hoping they would meet Jaris before the end of the book as well and with that being said, I’m so looking forward to ready the next book!

This is an amazing start to the Twilight of the Gods series.
I love the multigenerational women that are facing the fight to come. Bree and her daughter Annie are ready to face the Regent who is sitting on Bree's throne.
This book is told in such amazing details (that do NOT bog the story down) that I was could picture the events and people with ease. The characters are well rounded. The plot is perfectly paced. I also love the well described magic in this story.
This does end on a cliff hanger! Now to wait for book 2!!
Everything you could want in a fantasy book! The book manages to be both high stakes, and surprisingly cozy and calming, making you feel like you’re experiencing the journey along with the characters. A perfect read if you want to lose yourself in a story and enjoy the escapism of bustling markets, cozy cabins, and enchanted forests.
I had the great pleasure of reading Best by Far before advanced copies when out. This story is will take you on a Nordic journey with loads of legends and lore. It was fun finding little Easter eggs and seeing these characters grow on their adventure. I can’t wait to see where it goes next!
