Omega Fairy Tales #2

The Gold Dragon Prince

Rate this book
Once upon a time, in an enchanted kingdom of captive omega princes and jeweled dragon alpha princes….

Selle

I have always been the most curious of my brothers and a bit of a bookworm. So when we were introduced to the magical world, I wanted to find out as much as I could about all of it in any way I could. That way included sneaking away from where I was supposed to be and into the heart of the dragons’ castle, where I was definitely not supposed to be. Everything around me was just so exciting and interesting…

…until I was caught by the most beautiful alpha I’ve ever seen…

…who happens to be a gold dragon.

Gildur

I never stopped to consider that I had a fated mate let alone to go looking for him. My work on behalf of my mother, the queen, has always been my main focus. Keeping evil in check in our magical kingdom and stopping it from spreading to other worlds has always been my passion…until a clever, headstrong, irresistible omega waltzed into my life.

But now my fated mate is in danger from the evil forces I have been fighting against. Can I continue to put my kingdom first when my mate is in trouble or will love be my undoing?

The Gold Dragon Prince is part of the Omega Fairy Tales, which were first introduced in Their Alpha. It is a tale of adventure and passion, curiosity and bravery, with heat, magic, bonding, and a dragon shifter who walks a thin between heroic and wicked.

Selle is the most curious of the six beta brothers and a bit of a bookworm. So when they were introduced to the magical world, he wanted to find out as much as he could about all of it in any way he could. That included sneaking into the heart of the dragons’ castle, where he was caught by the most beautiful alpha he’d ever seen. Gildur, a gold dragon works for his mother, the Queen keeping evil in check & that’s his focus until Selle enters his life.
I’m loving these reworked fairy tales, the six beta princes are all a delight as are the Dragon Princes, they are fated mates & their stories are riveting. I loved both Gildur & Selle who complemented each other perfectly, their chemistry sizzled. Both intelligent & Selle had quite a backbone. I also loved how close the brothers were & did their best to protect each other from their horrid father, their performances about Tovey were Oscar worthy!. A quick but delicious read & I’m now looking froward to the next

A good story that follows the first one.

The story was good and followed the first one in the suspense and playfulness parts. The only revision that I would do is to eliminate chapter ten. I skimmed through it. It would have been good if the queen had put Freddy and Alyce as the new owners of the sorceress' estate.

Here's MM Farmer's latest: "The Gold Dragon Prince." It's the second novel in her Omega Fairy Tales series

MY GOD! I freaking LOVE this series and these princes and these dragons and the lore and the love and the eggs!! They're all so freaking adorable and perfect and angsty as hell.

I LOVE how each book (so far) ended with the King asking where the main-character-omega-prince went, only for his brothers to "not know who main-character-omega-prince." And this book started the same way. I love how protected they are of each other, no matter the danger their father threatens or how horrible their lives have been thus far.

And these dragons! They're far from perfect and that's...honestly, kinda perfect. They're flawed alpha heroes, but they would drop anything and everything for their mate (and his brothers)

I can't wait for the rest!!

4.5 stars!

This is book two in the author’s Omega Fairy Tales series and features Selle, one of the six omega princes of the evil King Freslik and Gildur, the golden dragon prince from the magical realm.

With a gifted access to the magical realm, the six princes escape the imprisonment of their room each day to dance and forget their troubles in the magical world. So far, two of the princes, Tovey (from book one) and Selle, have found their fated mates in magical dragons.

I have to stop here; I’ve already written and deleted two more paragraphs because they were getting too long winded and straying too close to spoilers but suffice it to say, I really enjoyed reading Selle and Gildur’s book. It followed the same basic storyline as book one, all of the facts remained the same, but I loved the way it took a whole new direction—it kept me interested without allowing me to get distracted or bored and waiting to see what would happen next.

For readers who enjoy a good PNR read about dragons and fated mates, you can’t go wrong with either book one or book two. Book three will be coming out soon and I already can’t wait to see what happens with Leo and Diamant, the diamond dragon prince. For Selle and Gildur though, 4.5 stars!

I received a copy of this book for free but am voluntarily leaving a review.

Prince Selle and Prince Gildur . . .

Omega Prince Selle is the curious brother who loves books, challenges, and is eager to find out more about the magical world. Sneaking into the dragon castle in the other world to explore and learn, he was enraptured with his surroundings. Then he was discovered by Alpha Prince Gildur, a gold dragon shifter who hadn’t thought about the possibility of finding a fated mate. He had instead put all of his energies on the tasks his mother, the Queen, needed him to deal with to keep their kingdom safe. But this intelligent, courageous Omega he has discovered has definitely caught his attention. They are very well matched, especially since Selle doesn’t back down and stands up to Gildur when necessary. But when Gildur’s mate is in danger, he will need to make a difficult choice. Will protecting the kingdom take precedence over protecting his mate? Which will he choose? And will Selle’s brothers continue to keep silent about his secret disappearance from their cruel father, King Freslik, despite his locking them down once more?

"Father knew that books were not only useful, they were dangerous. They led to revolutionary things, like learning and forming ideas."

This is book 2 in the Omega Fairy Tales by MM Farmer. I'm really loving this series and these omega brothers

I was hoping to see Toby, Rufus, and their twin eggs again... they were discussed a few times but weren't present in any of the chapters. As each of the brothers meet their fated and move to this magical world I hope they'll have a grand reunion eggs/babies included.

I was so happy to have one more of the princes get away from their evil father, King Freslik. Selle was the bookworm of the 6 brothers and I was happy to see him get his book. I loved how he stood up for himself and didn't let the snooty dragon, Gildur, get away with being pompous.

Leo's book is up next, I can't wait.

Fated mates, insta-lust, fighting ogres, a stolen treasure, a daring rescue, things aren't always as they seem

This is the second installment of the Omega Fairy Tales and the books need to be read in order.

While Omega Seele and Dragon Gildur have their own story here, the underlying arch starts with book one.

These are fairy tales, the story of good and evil, helpful secondary characters, magic and a HEA for the couple. The book is on the shorter side and it's more the story than the couple's relationship which is the main focus.

You have the fated mates, insta-love/lust, mating and the egg in a very short time, poor Seele doesn't really have the chance to catch a breath after mating when the adventure starts and both are racing to discover a plot which also includes Seele's home world.

I really enjoyed the ride, it very much reminds me of why I loved fairy tales.

The only niggle is that the couple started with a bit more banter and I hoped to see Gildur's hoard but the library scene made up for it.

I can't wait for book 3.

Selle, an inquisitive omega prince, sneaks into the heart of the dragons’ castle, captivated by the magical world around him—until he’s caught by Gildur, a stunning gold dragon alpha. Gildur has spent his life protecting the kingdom, never imagining he’d have a fated mate. But when Selle enters his life, everything changes. As danger closes in, Gildur faces a choice—protect his realm or risk everything for the omega who has stolen his heart.

This was a sweet story as Selle found his fated mate in the library of the magic castle. There was drama and danger as they both tried to defeat an evil sorceror. This was lacking in character development and could have been more interesting. Easy to understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Gildur is a bit pompous in the beginning but being a gold dragon, it's expected. But the second half of the book where his humility and displeasure with himself, this is what makes him golden and perfect for Selle. Prince Selle is smart, brave, and loves learning. These two are in for a wild adventure with their little one along for the bumpy ride. Another good story. With these omegas, only a dragon mate will do. They are a handful. I am looking forward to strong willed Leo and Diamanr's story next. Should be fun with a diamond dragon and feisty omega.

The Gold Dragon Prince is the second book in the ‘Omega Fairy Tales’ series. It stars Prince Selle, an omega, and Prince Gildur, an Alpha, gold dragon shifter. This is told in first person from Selle and Gildur’s pov.

The cover of this book is gorgeous. Just like the first book, it depicts a dragon head instead of a male model. I can’t wait to see the covers for the next four books.

The blurb does a good job of explaining the basic plot but I’ll add a bit more. This story is longer and more in-depth than the first one. There’s more interaction with the beings in the dragon world so we learn more about their world, and there’s also mechanizations between the ‘Cruel World,’ where the young princes are kept as prisoners, and a sorceress in the dragon world. I like this book more than I did the first one. Comparing the first two books, Book One is more like a prologue.

The characters had more depth. There’s more focus on Selle and Gildur and the mission Gildur is on, rather than on Selle’s brothers, which I liked. I didn’t like Gildur at first. He was as arrogant, conceited, and as brash as Rufus was in the first book. As the story progresses, we learn how he’s conflicted between his duty to his mother, the Queen, and devotion to Selle. Also, through Selle’s bond, we get insight into how Gildur is really feeling and what he’s thinking. This aspect wasn’t as evident between Rufus and Tovey in the first book. Gildur and Selle are well matched. Despite Selle being human and more fragile, he’s quite brave and doesn’t back down from challenges. That’s probably because he is intelligent and has loads of curiosity. He has tremendous faith in his abilities, which makes him brave, and at times reckless. He’s a perfect fit with Gildur and I could believe in them as a couple. Selle is my favorite character so far, besides Queen Gaia.

The book ends the same way it ended in Book One. The King is furious at the young princes because Selle is missing. He confronts them, but they again play dumb and the King initiates another cruel lock-down in the tower.

The Gold Dragon Prince was an entertaining read, and I enjoyed the characters Selle, and Gildur. I recommend this book to everyone who enjoys reading about dragons, mpreg, and fantasy worlds. I give this book, 5 Stars

I received an ARC from the author, and this is my honest and unbiased opinion.

Prince Selle, the studious one, meets Prince Gilder, the gold dragon, at one of the nightly balls in the magical kingdom behind the magic door in the bedroom. Both instantly recognize each other as their fated mate, and nature takes over quickly with mating and egg laying that night. Next morning, the adventure begins as Selle, along with their newly laid egg, insists on helping Gilder on his mission for Queen Gaia to get evidence of the planned treachery from the sorceress Saoirse. Gilder is more level headed overall, while Selle is not one to back down (even when he isn’t quite sure what all is happening at times), but together they overcome obstacles, fulfill their mission, disrupt evil plans, and get the job done, ready for their HEA with their newly laid egg. Meanwhile the other four princes continue their nightly visits and wait to meet their fated mates when circumstances dictate it is time.

The world building for the dragon’s magical world is expanding the picture of what it is like there, such that one could start to create a map of dragon world with the pavilion, the castle on the hill, the pathways winding through the countryside with villages, fields and forests, the lairs of Rufus and Gilder, and Queen Gaia’s magical moving garden to set the scene. Next up is Diamont, the Diamond Prince for brother Leo, as the other brothers wait in their tower prison for their turn at a mate, and King Freslick is still just as clueless as ever. Short and entertaining, it is a fun escapism read for an afternoon or evening.

The Gold Dragon Prince is the second book in MM Farmer's the ‘Omega Fairy Tales’ series. Locked in their tower room and threatened with starvation because they won't tell their father where Tovey went to, the five remaining omega princes continue to attend the nightly dances in the magic realm. Prince Selle is the most curious of the princes. With only an old book of fairy tales to guide him, he's researching dragons and fated bonds. Alpha Prince Gildur, is an investigative agent for his mother, the Queen. He's a gold dragon, known for their arrogance and self-importance.
The pair are perfect together. Both are intelligent and problem solvers. Selle is made of sterner stuff than Tovey, at least better informed. He's going to take what he wants, and not put up with any of Gildur's nonsense. Most of which is just a mask that shields him from the world. Selle makes him be a better man.
The story is fast paced. Spicy with a touch of danger. I loved the adventure and very much enjoyed the ending. Although how much longer can it be before King Freslik thinks to search the omegas' room?
I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my review.

Selle & Gildur
Having not yet read book 1 in the series, I knew there'd be a few holes in my initial knowledge, but this story really stood on its own very well. Any mention of Rufus & Tovey from book 1 were fairly extraneous and mostly just informational.

This story was surprisingly and wonderfully spicy. I love how M.M. Farmer writes their steamy scenes, they're always so...hot! Selle & Gildur hit some early snags (if you want to call them that) in the beginning, because Selle actively makes Gildur put in a bit of the work to connect and complete their (fated) mating bond. But after their bond is even just started, their personalities mesh so well that the two begin to collaborate straight away which aids them tremendously, especially since they're thrown into dangerous and stressful situations so soon after mating.

I loved this book so much that when I started it really late, I didn't stop until I had completed it, even though it was well into the next morning and I hadn't slept. I can't wait until the next one!

I received an authorized copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

A golden story

This is the second story of MM Farmer’s Omega Fairy Tales series that is better read in order although some of the stories do overlap. It’s the appropriately named Gidur, the gold dragon’s turn to find his fated mate in the form of omega Selle. Maybe this is a weird thing to like and comment on, but I like the names that Ms. Farmer has come up with. They are different, but still easy to read and remember. I know that I have given up on some books because I just couldn’t keep the characters straight. It’s hard enough to keep thinking up names for characters and these are creative!
I also love the rest of this book from the cover to the ending. Great read with a fun plot, lovely romance, magic, a nasty king and of course great names.

A fun adventure romance. I really liked this fast paced story with a lot of action with good spice mixed in. In this universe, there is the "cruel world" and the "magical world". Five omega princes, imprisoned by their cruel father, have been given a magical marble that opens a door to the magical world and their fated dragon mates. In this book we meet the gold dragon Gildur and Prince Selle. Their attraction is immediate and results in an egg the very first time. The ensuing events follow them through magical battles, an evil father, and people trying to get their golden egg. It's a lot of fun and I look forward to reading more in the series.

I always enjoyed fairy tales as a child and this one reminded me of that, except this one was on an adult level. I loved the dragon Gildur and his omega mate Selle. It’s a story well written with supernatural beings that made for an excellent read. As with all fairy tales, there is danger but that is eventually controlled. This is the first story I have read in this series but it will not be the last.

Fated mates, magic

Selle is the next omega prince to find his HEA.
His intelligence is a threat to his father and he's thrilled to be going on an adventure.
Gildur is his alpha mate and initially isn't a very likable character.
He's got the weight of his kingdom on his shoulders and now protecting his mate, Selle is added to it.
He has to decide where his loyalties lie.
I loved the interactions between them, the give and take aspect.
There's plenty of fast-paced action, danger, drama and mystery.

If you love intelligent, book reading, research loving, cinnamon roll heroes this is a great book. Both Selle and Gildur enjoy to irritate each other but when there is trouble they work together to reach their goals. I have never been so upset about a stolen egg before. I wanted to jump into the book and help it. I loved the ending and can't wait to see how the other brothers get their HEA. This magical world is addicting to read.

Gildur is a golden dragon shifter in the magical realm. He is an agent for his mother and goes undercover when trouble arises. Prince Selle is an omega in the cruel world. He has five omega brothers all sons of King Freslik an evil tyrant. Selle meets Gildur at a dance in the magical kingdom, they know instantly they are fated mates. Once mated the dangerous adventure begins, with evil sorceress, ogres, and nobles wanting their golden dragon egg. Such a fun series to read.

Great addition to the series!
MM farmer is one of my fav authors! I really love the Mpreg EGG aspect! (Not usually an mpreg fan but don’t mind and sometimes love an mm egg preg aspect! These books are great shirt spicey and full of over arching storyline! Great job having different personalities and story lines even though they are fated mate stories with focus on a different couple! Did not feel repetitive or bland at all! And the spice! Yum!!

The Gold Dragon Prince, Omega Fairy Tales book 2, is a fun, sometimes silly and sometimes serious, and frequently unexpected reimagining of the 12 Dancing Princesses. In the style of 15-16th century European fairy tales, but with queer/omegaverse/dragon fantasy world details, MM Farmer has written another great read, one that is spicy and saucy, wacky and wise.

So good. I'm glad that the omega was not a pushover and was able to use his skills to help his dragon. I'm glad his dragon ended up not being a conceited jerk and recognized what an amazing mate he had. The adventure was just right. The antagonists were just right and got what they deserved in the end. I'm looking forward to reading about the other brothers and their dragons.

I'm voluntarily leaving a review after receiving a free copy. I liked Selle and Gildur as a mated pair and how Gildur listened to Selle. Duty versus love is brought up in this story. I'm glad the evil ones were caught and punished even if the punishment was strange. Selle's father is still a problem. I really liked the punishment given to Gildur which he doesn't mind.

Great booked! I love the fated mates stories and honestly, I had never read much like this before. I loved the whole realms that were created. The vulnerability and strength of both characters as well as the instant love and affection they had for each other was brilliant. Totally loved it.

Great story

I absolutely loved this story. This is the second book in this series and should definitely be read in order. This time it’s Selle’s turn to find his mate and I loved watching these two together. I can’t wait for the next story.
