Drakos Lenkov is an hockey player for the Icehawks, he is also the journalist Aria Reed favourite target for her mean articles. They despise each other, but they have a strong attraction, will they keep their distance?

I adored Aria and Drakos. They are strong, independent and career driven, but still lovable, and their bantering show their compatibility and chemistry. During this journey they discover some uncomfortable truths that shake their existences, but they learn to trust each other and they weather the storm together.

I loved the wonderful way Jami Davenport wrote this enemies to lovers story: there are spice, romance, hockey games, family bond, and characters so relatable that made me feel for them.

Colliding was a wonderful addition to the Portland Icehawks series, it could be read as a standalone. I’m excited for what comes next.

Drakos and Aria🥰

Colliding is an enemies to lovers romance story and focuses on Drakos and Aria - one famous womanising and party hard hockey player and one ruthless hockey journalist who is asked to embellish her stories…all the time😳

Aria’s reputation with the Icehawks team is quite literally skating on thin ice, due to her articles that she writes and publishes for an online hockey publication. Unfortunately, she’s found a target in Drakos and she’s been ruthlessly targeting him and has since lost a bit of his hockey mojo😢 Is there a reason she’s targeted him specifically rather than another teammate, or is she one of the many women he’s been with? 🤷‍♀️

A great story that I really enjoyed with elements of redemption but also some loose ends from previous books that we get answers too❣️The story was fast paced but also emotional on a different level for me. Super excited for Kirby’s book next🤩 I received an advanced copy and voluntarily leave my honest review❤️‍🩹

This is the 7th book in this amazing series, and this is Drakos and Aria’s story.
Drakos is a pro premier forward, who party’s hard, and plays harder, while Aria is an ambitious sports journalist. Aria’s constant criticism is getting under Drakos’ skin, but the sparks fly between them.
This is a well written easy to read, emotional roller coaster, with trauma, intrigue, secrets, enemies / lovers, opposites attract, humour, witty banter, revelations, combustible chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, twisted, and unpredictable addictive page turner, which tugs at the heartstrings throughout.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Since the ending of the last book, I have been waiting for Drakos and Aria’s story. “Colliding” is a swoony, heartfelt and sweet enemies to lovers hockey romance that I couldn’t put down once I started it.

Aria Reed is a journalist and has been critical of the Icehawks the whole season. And Drakos Lenkov has been her target for a lot of her stories. Drakos is a star forward, is single and loves to party. But hockey always comes first and Aria’s stories get to him like no other. But when he sees her at a rink with her nephew, there’s something about the two of them that he’s drawn to. Aria has custody of her nephew, Noah, after her sister passed away and she has a secret that she is closely guarding and will do anything to keep it to herself.

Aria and Drakos had amazing chemistry from the start and I loved the tension between them. Aria worked for a horrible news site that only wanted the drama, real or made up, and working there definitely took a lot out of her but she needed the money to support Noah. Her sister left her with a pretty big secret that had a hint of a lie in it which she didn’t know at the time. I don’t blame her for holding onto it especially when she had no reason to doubt her. Drakos might have been a party guy but hockey was always his first love and he devoted his life to it. His drive to for the Icehawks to win the Cup was admirable and he is a great teammate. Aria and Drakos had great banter and knew what buttons to push when they were talking. But when it came down to it, Drakos was protective of Aria and Noah when it mattered them the most. I love how these two found each other and loved the ending.

Drakos Lenkov is a star forward on the Portland Icehawks hockey team. Drakos parties hard and plays harder. Drakos can't afford any distraction as the Icehawks vie for a playoff spot, but a certain female reporter's constant criticism is getting under his skin and affecting his game. Aria Reed is a sports reporter who is ambitious and ruthless. Her attacks on Drakos are relentless and appear unprovoked. Aria has her reasons for hating Drakos and a secret she can never reveal. Will feelings of animosity between Aria and Drakos lead to feelings of love? Will Drakos and Aria give into their explosive chemistry? Can Aria uncover her sister's secret life in Vegas? Will Aria accept help from Drakos when she is fired from her job and unable to pay for new hockey equipment for her nephew, Noah? As Aria and Drakos spend time together, will their feelings of distrust and animosity turn into feelings of love? How will Drakos react when he learns he is Noah's father? Can Drakos, Aria, and Noah become a family and find their happily ever after? I loved Colliding by Jami Davenport. Drakos and Aria are an amazing couple with explosive chemistry. I love their banter, but I love how Drakos was there for Aria and Noah when they needed him the most. I loved seeing characters from other Portland Icehawks' books. I would highly recommend getting Colliding and the other books in the Portland Icehawks series by Jami Davenport. I received a free copy of this book, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Looking for a great enemies-to-lovers, found family, amazing banter, sarcasm, a healthy dose of chemistry, a kind of crazy backstory & an amazing little boy that brings it all together? Drakos & Aria are that story! She has been attacking him in her articles for two yrs, calling out his play on the ice, his character off the ice & his inability to get out of his current slump. He just can't seem to let her biting comments slide off his back. He knows that he isn't playing at his best, but if she'd stop writing lies about him, he may be able to turn things around.
Aria has recently become guardian for her six yr old nephew Noah, is trying to figure out a past her sister obviously never planned to reveal & figuring out how to keep her boss happy without having to spew lies anymore. Funny what happens when your conscious catches up to you.
Drakos is finding it hard to move on from his past as well. A very private man, he doesn't share his history, it just hurts too much to talk about. Besides, he's too busy trying to get Aria, her words, sexy body & sharp tongue out of his head! He needs to focus, but there is something going on with Aria & her nephew Noah & he is determined to find out what.
This story had witty, sarcastic banter, damaging secrets, unpredictable twists, lies, deception, spicy explosive chemistry & a whole lot of hockey to go with it! It was a swoon worthy, emotional ride, with some amazing characters & a little boy that no one wants to disappoint. Make sure to check this book out today, maybe start from the beginning of the series! Enjoy!

When fire, ice and secrets collide

Colliding was an exciting read from start to finish. This book takes you on an emotional rollercoaster as you follow the lives of Drakos Lenkov and Aria Reed, two characters who are as different as fire and ice. Drakos, a premier forward in the league, is at the top of his game but finds himself increasingly distracted by the relentless criticism from Aria, an ambitious sports reporter. The tension between them is palpable, and their mutual hatred adds a layer of complexity (not to mention sizzle) to their interactions that keeps you hooked.

Drakos is known for his hard-partying lifestyle and fierce dedication on the ice, but his game is thrown off balance by Aria's unrelenting attacks. On the other hand, Aria's ruthless pursuit of her career and her hidden motivations make her a fascinating character. Her explosive secret and the promise she made to her late sister add depth to her relentless pursuit of Drakos. The dynamics between these two characters are compelling, and their journey from animosity to understanding is beautifully portrayed by the author. Colliding seamlessly blends romance, drama, and mystery, making it a fantastic book to the series and one you won't want to put down.

Wow, Drakos and Aria sure knew how to throw dingers at each other with Aria being the winner. Aria worked for a scumbag news outlet that didn’t want real news about the Icehawks, just trash that wasn’t always real. I can’t imagine how she felt with the whole team hating her. I did admire her for taking in her sister’s son Noah when her sister passed away. Hence she needed the job to take care of her nephew. Drakos couldn’t understand why she was the most malicious with him when reporting. It was so sweet that Noah’s favorite player was Drakos and Drakos felt a need to help him with Aria as his aunt and no father. You will love reading about the love/hate Aria and Drakos had for each other. Ms. Davenport did such a good job of portraying Aria’s parents so horrible, especially her mother that I wanted to slap her mom and I am not that kind old person! I just couldn’t imagine treating a daughter the way her mother did. I really felt bad when Aria started looking through her sister’s documents and found out her sister may have not been completely truthful with her. I strongly encourage you to read the book.

Drakos plays for the Portland Icehawks. He's a star player that loves women and to party. As the regular season is winding down, he has gotten into a slump. Now's not a good time because they need to keep winning in order to make it to the playoffs.
Aria is a reporter for this website that only wants gossip. They don't care if the gossip is true or not, they just want stuff to seem real. Aria has targeted Drakos for his partying ways and the fact that he's not playing well is playing right into her hands. But there's another reason why Aria is targeting Drakos only he has no idea why that is.
Aria always thought that she knew her sister and what she did before she died but it turns out, she didn't really know anything.
This was a great read about two enemies who became more than friends. There's a fine line between love and hate and these two are walking it perfectly. A great addition to the Icehawks series!

Finally we know why Aria is so passionate in her severe dislike of Drakos! Aria appears to be a tough as nails journalist working for a less than ethical sports publication. Aria is tasked with raising her young nephew after her sister's death and tries to do what she needs to do in order to make ends meet. Even if that is fabricating stories for her employer with Drakos as her main target. During the course of the story, we find out that Aria's sister was not who she portrayed herself to be and told many lies.

Drakos is a known ladies man but doesn't understand why Aria is so hateful towards him. He is trying to understand her and saves her from a couple unsavory situations where he learns that she is not so hateful as she appears. As they get to know each other she says somethings that make him wonder about her life circumstances. He chooses to hire a PI and is in for the surprise of his life!

Everything works out in the end but there are quite a few bumps in the road as they go along!

Portland Icehawks #7

Aria Reed is a sports reporter very much known and not liked for her ruthlessness in reporting. She has her reasons and also a secret that she's been keeping.
Drakos Lenkov seems to be in her sights more than the others and most of the time and he has no idea why.

Drakos is one of the premier forwards in the league. He's single and loves to party hard but hockey comes first.

There's a lot of sparks between them. When he sees her at the rink with a little boy he's curious and then finds out this is her nephew, a cute 6 yr old who loves playing hockey. When her sister died she left Aria custody of Noah and who the father was.

But things are not always what they seem and Aria is finding out more and more about her sister.
What happens when the secrets are found out?

Another angsty addition to the Portland Icehawk series that reveals the backstory for Aria’s focused vendetta against Drakos in her articles.

Both Aria and Drakos are exciting characters who set off sparks with each other verbally and physically. The fireworks and sparks are entertaining and compelling. These two characters are both strong, independent and career driven. Their heated bantering definitely shows compatibility and chemistry.

They discover some surprising and uncomfortable truths that force them to reevaluate their circumstances and readjust what they want for the future. They surprise themselves by learning to trust each other and decide to face the future together.

I loved how Jami Davenport wrote this enemies to lovers story. Spice and romance, family bonds and friendships, and beloved characters. Playoff hockey that was exciting, and added to the storyline.

Colliding is the 7th book in the Portland Icehawks series and I loved it! It’s Drakos and Aria’s story. Drakos hasn’t been playing his best and Aria, a sports reporter, has been very critical of him. She’s keeping a secrets that are the reason for it. She’s raising her six year old nephew Noah after her sister’s death. Through it all the sparks fly, even though they fought it , they slowly grow closer. When the secret is revealed, will they be able to work through it? This story is an emotional roller coaster ride full of secrets, lies, witty banter, explosive chemistry and twists and turns you won’t see coming. I have enjoyed the Portland Icehawks series and Colliding is a fantastic addition to!

5 Star Review Colliding (Portland Icehawks #7) by Jami Davenport

This is Drakos Lenkov and sports reporter Aria Reed’s enemies to lovers story and was a wonderful addition to the latest series from Ms. Davenport.

A well written and entertaining story about two people who could not be more different and yet work well as a couple.

There is more to Aria’s animosity than one would expect and as the truth unfolds will it bring them together or rip them apart?

Colliding was an emotional at times intense story kept me captive until the last chapter. You cannot help but become invested in the story that the author weaves.

What a smashing story. Aria finds herself being mother to her sisters son, her sister tragically passed away. I thought that there was more to her sister than met the eye and as the story unwound, the mysteries surrounding her sister unravelled. It was only towards the end that the reason for the animosity between her and Drakos was revealed. The simmering tension between both of them had to reach the point where it had to be acted upon. There are quite a few ups and downs but everything is sorted out nicely in the end.

I received a free book and this review is based on my thoughts and feelings.

Colliding, book seven in the Portland Icehawks series is a wonderful edition to this series. I love enemies to lovers and surprise baby/child tropes and in this story these have a twist and a few surprises.
Drakos Lenkov is a star forward for the Icehawks and a confirmed playboy until something clicks with his confirmed nemesis, Aria Reed. She is a sports reporter whose boss wants all the dirty gossip about the team and Aria doesn’t like that part of her job and for the sake of her nephew she has turned over a new leaf and is looking for another job and uncovering all of her deceased sisters secrets and those secrets are what link her to Drakos.

Portland Ice Hawks Book Seven has us getting the story we all been waiting for, Drakos & Aria.
Drakos has been in Aria’s cross hairs since he came to Portland and he never understood why.
Aria is raising her nephew and she doing it all on the pretense of being a good sister but she knows deep in her heart that maybe Drakos could be a good guy.
Drakos & Aria most definitely have a love hate relationship and watching them navigate through it is so heartfelt because when they realize that they both truly want the same thing that just maybe a HEA can follow.

Book number 7 in the series and it was a good read. It was an easy read that was hard to put down. Drakos and Aira are so good together. They have a bit of a love hate relationship. Drakos Lenkov is a player on the Portland Icehawks NHL team. Aria Reed is an up and coming sports reporter for a gossipy hockey magazine. There is no denying they are opposite on everything especially when it comes to Aria’s words affecting Drakos’s playing ability. Normally Drakos would be able to shake it off, but there is something about the way Aria keeps coming after him has people asking a lot of questions. The secret that Aria is holding onto is soon going to be revealed because there is no denying that there is some passion between the two of them. But the more Aria digs into her dead sister’s past to get answers, the more secrets are revealed. Including the fact that her “perfect” sister wasn’t really that perfect after all and the fact that the lies can hurt everyone involved.

This is the next book in the Icehawks series and it was awesome!! The way she was able to take secrets, sports, sex and lies, with some investigating thrown in and craft them into a page turning book was incredible. I can’t wait to see where the series will go from here, along with the characters. I also have a hope that an investigating series will start back up again. Make sure you make the time to read this book from cover to cover.

Thanks to the author for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Drakos and Aria started out hating each other!

Forward Drakos Lenkov had no idea why reporter Aria Reed had it out for him since he seemed to be the target of most of her articles for All Hockey News criticizing his playing. Now, the team is trying to make the playoffs and all the articles are affecting his game. But he still couldn’t get the reporter that hated him out of his mind.

Aria disliked Drakos on principal after he had signed away custody of her nephew but now she was raising Noah after the death of her sister and finding out about the secrets that her sister was keeping about her life from everybody.

Colliding starts out with Aria and Drakos as enemies but you can’t ignore their attraction when their hate changes to love and they become a family with Noah.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author and 1852 Media. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

4 1/2 STARS!

Fast paced and endearing! The next book in Davenport's Portland Icehawks series brings us Drakos Lenkov's story and it's a doozy. For months sports reporter Aria Reed has been badmouthing him in her articles and he's not sure why. It's obviously personal, but he's never even met her. Secrets are soon revealed that blow his mind and he's forced to interact with his mortal enemy. Close contact makes them admit their attraction and soon they are cozying up and addressing life together. I enjoyed the characters a lot and was invested in their story. I think there were some holes here and there, but nothing drastic and though I wanted slightly more than the rushed feeling to the ending, I thoroughly enjoyed their story. I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to hockey romance who love a team with a tight brotherhood that supports each other through thick and thin.

This is the first book in this series that I have read, and I was very impressed. Despite the fact that Drakos was a womanizing playboy and Aria was a mean vindictive woman, you could actually still like the characters, and that is sometimes hard to achieve. After Aria's sister died in an auto accident, she got custody of Noah, her six year old son. As a reporter for a disreputable online rag, Aria hated her job, but realized she had no other choice as she now had a child to support. For reasons we learn later, Aria has a vendetta against Drakos, and so frequently makes him the brunt of her sometimes fabricated stories. But when a series of events make their worlds collide, each realizes that the other may not be as bad as they thought, and that actually, there may be some chemistry!

This is a sweet, emotional enemies to lovers story, with a slow burn that makes your heart sing. And of course, Noah, the six year old is delightful. Well worth reading.

Drakos Lenkov has been playing pretty bad hockey for his team that is almost in the playoffs. He already feels bad about it and it doesn’t help a local reporter is always highlighting his bad play and insinuating other bad behavior off the rink. Aria Reed, the reporter, is under pressure to make up stories, the more salacious the better. It is also personal to her as she thinks Drake has signed away his rights to his son, her nephew. She can’t stay away, however. In the middle of great hockey action we get the back and forth between these two and the real truth finally comes out. A quick read because you don’t want to stop reading! It also gives us a peak into the previous IceHawks couples and the next one. Recommended. PS I am getting vampire vibes from the cover but the book is great!!

Colliding is sports reporter Aria Reed and hockey player Drakos Lenkov’s enemies to lovers story and I loved everything about it from the snarky comments to watching Aria realise she has it all wrong. It’s book seven in the Portland Icehawks and it’s an entertaining addition.
Aria is doing everything she needs to do to keep Drakos at arms length and away from her nephew who she has just become guardian for. Problem is secrets are being kept and he isn’t going to like it when he sees what’s right in from of his eyes, so will the secret Aria is keeping make it break them……..
This is a well written, entertaining and at times emotional read. I loved the characters, the banter and the sarcasm but what took this book to another level was a little boy who stole my heart.

Drakos and Aria were mortal enemies due to her profession and her nephew who just so happens to be his son. One he had no knowledge of. Drakos was the player of all players on his team. Until Aria that is cause hate isn’t all that far from love. Aria’s sister had a secret life that she unearthed and also learned that Drakos had no knowledge of his son. Even though her sister said that he did. They end up lovers who fall in love with each other and create a happy life with Noah, Drakos son and Aria’s nephew.
