"TWISTS AND TURNS. HUNGER GAMES? RED RISING? GLADIATOR? THIS SERIES HAS A BIT OF EACH." - Amazon Review

"WOW! I JUST FINISHED THE FALL - IT'S EVEN BETTER THAN THE WALL - I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE THIRD BOOK TO COME OUT. SO MUCH ACTION - IT READS LIKE A MOVIE THAT TAKES YOUR BREATH AWAY." - Amazon Review

Asher has returned. After a decade of relative peace, Sarai leads Zion West as Prime Servant. Asher commands its army against the growing threats of Zion East's burgeoning military as Renatus's power continues to grow. But when Renatus finds out Asher and Sarai's son has the same genetic disorder as his wounded prince, he kidnaps him for his LifeCell in an effort to resurrect his own son. As Sarai and The Defiance are ousted in a coup orchestrated by her father, Asher does everything in his power to save their son.
Meanwhile, Cephas and Jude face their own challenges as they embark on a dangerous trek across the ocean in an attempt to rearm The Defiance. But a new menace looms. Protocol has grown even more sinister, as has Renatus's latest Legion's brother, Apex.
The Fall delves into a darker narrative, providing deeper insight into the characters and the origins of The Wall. It is a fast-paced, clean YA dystopia that is ideal for fans of Red Rising and The Hunger Games.

"...we all know pride comes before the fall."

Perfect sequel to a severely underrated trilogy. The direction the author took this feels like he turned everything up a notch and I really connected with all the characters (the good guys) this time around. I knew right away I would be giving this five stars.

This is such a unique dystopian/sci-fi with the best Christian faith themes. The multi-POV was navigated so well and really kept the plot moving. Profound prose, sardonic humor, a motley crew of sacrificial heroes, dark sci-fi elements that explore the limits of the human condition, biblical allegory, and atmospheric 1980s motifs in what's left of a fictional version of the United States of America in the year 2109....it was so good.

In general, this book just kept throwing plot developments at me I was not expecting. The cliffhanger was great and I cried. I cannot wait for the last installment. I just know it's going to be epic. I trust this author. Please do not overlook this trilogy!

Book 2 in The Wall Trilogy was even better than Book 1. Now I'm anticipating Book 3 - it can't come soon enough! So much action and adventure, the dark side of humanity and the dangers of technology. I appreciate the Biblical truths and moral insight Penn provides throughout Asher and Sarai's trials. The complex relationships are so relatable - parents, siblings, families of dysfunction.
The Fall will break your heart and leave you hopeful that there must be a better ending to come. It's a battle of good vs. evil and I am optimistic that victory is coming in the next book - I can't wait! This trilogy will become a classic movie someday.

While I find the premise of this story interesting, I am not enjoying reading it as much as I should. I would have DNFed this, but I really do want to know what happens. I am still trying to decide if I will read the last book or not.
I am not a fan of books written from multiple perspectives. I think it gives too much away; where is the suspense? There are also too many setbacks. It is a continuous one step forward, ten steps back. Every time it seems like the good guys might get ahead, there is always someone bigger and badder that has to be faced. A little of that can go a long way, and at some point, it becomes not just demoralizing but monotonous and a little unbelievable.

The Fall is the sequel to The Wall, and I think it was even better than the first book. The story had plenty of unexpected moments that kept me interested, and the side stories added a lot to the overall plot.

I listened to the audiobook, and it was a great experience. The addition of a female narrator along with the male voice made it feel more balanced and enjoyable compared to the first one.

Overall, it was a fantastic book—engaging, surprising, and hard to stop listening to.

An action-packed and emotionally charged sequel that raises the stakes even higher. With gripping twists, complex characters, and echoes of Red Rising and The Hunger Games, The Fall delivers a cinematic dystopian thrill ride that keeps you hooked until the last page.
