This is an enchanting fantasy romance, loaded with magic, adventure, sass, danger and feminine rage. It draws you in straight away with it's mystic nature, and you follow the brave and enigmatic Nolei who is thrust into the unexpected.
Her friendship with Eryn is everything, I loved their wit and how supportive they are as they venture off on their quest - definite friendship goals.
Leo is the MMC you will love, with his broody nature, fighting instincts, protectiveness and smouldering vibes.
Each chapter had me hooked and always added something magical dreamy, shocking or emotional.
The worldbuilding is fascinating, I loved learning about the lore, forbidden magic, connection to nature, and powers of nature.
With it's medieval setting, strong females, chaos and wild energy, and journeys of transformation and power, this is a captivating must read!

✨"I would rip the seams from the sky and pull down every fucking full moon to gift to you if I could"

✨"I was stitched with courage and fueled by chaos. My destiny was whispered in the stars, but I wove my own fate. And I would kill her if it was the last fucking thing I did"

✨ "I am going to worship you all night and every night. From now until the stars fall and the moon fades"

This was a good debut novel from Myla Rose and overall I'd say I enjoyed it.

I think those who like a cozy romantasy will love this. The main characters got together quickly and most of the action happened at the very start or the end so the middle felt very slow and I just kept waiting for something to go wrong.

Balancing world building, character development, and plot in the first book of a series can be tough and I am curious to see what happens next so I will definitely read the next book.

Thanks to Myla Rose for the ARC!

An incredible book, especially considering that this is a debut novel!

A magical heroine, a swoon-worthy mysterious MMC, an evil queen, a devoted bestie and comedic relief from a side character who isn’t afraid to give shit to the other characters. What more could you ask for?

This story follows Nolei, our FMC, on an unexpected quest to seek answers on her forgotten past. She travels with an unexpected band of allies who must work together to rid the world of the morally corrupt and fulfil her destiny.

This book would be a great introduction for those who are new to fantasy, and enjoy some ravishing and spicy romance.

I was selected as an ARC reader for Threads of the Maidens Moon.
I am so delighted to say that I really enjoyed myself with this book. There is action, but it is not an action packed fantasy. This book is literally a journey. It’s a journey of personal growth and self-discovery and realization. I love that the FMC refuses to take shit from others, regardless of who they are. Up until the end, I adored all the supportive characters until one made me a little mad for seemingly switching tone for no reason - although I think I could guess why. The ending made me a little cranky, the whole “small thing blown out of proportion and refusing to listen to someone” thing gets my gears grinding a little but alas, I understand drama is a necessity. Foreshadowing was quite obvious for most things so I did find it a little too predictable, but had a good time nonetheless
Looking forward to book 2 when it’s ready!

Threads of the Maiden's Moon is a captivating witchy romance that blends mysticism with passion in all the right ways. From the moment you meet Leo, you're drawn to his sincerity and his ability to speak from heart. He's not your typical brooding hero but instead someone who wears his emotions openly, making him irresistibly magnetic. Nolei and Leo's chemistry ignites instantly, so don't expect any slow-burn tension - this story jumps straight into sizzling connection and steamy moments that'll leave you breathless. The witchy elements are seamlessly woven into the narrative, creating a world brimming with enchantment and danger that'll have you wanting to roam through the woods barefoot with a dagger strapped to your thigh. If you're looking for a book that combines magic, heart, and heat in equal measure, Threads of the Maiden's Moon is an absolute must read!

5 Stars ARC Read - A Lyrical, Feminist Fantasy That Dances Between the Stars and the Soul

Myla Rose’s Threads of the Maiden’s Moon is not just a book—it’s a spell woven from starlight, sorrow, and fierce feminine strength. From the first page, I felt like I’d stepped into a world both delicately beautiful and unapologetically bold. Every sentence feels intentionally placed, like embroidery on a sacred tapestry, and by the end, I was wholly unraveled and rewoven.

At its heart, this book is a celebration of womanhood in all its complexity: soft and strong, broken and healing, enraged and empowered. Rose doesn’t just write women—she champions them. Each female character, whether main or supporting, is deeply rendered, full of agency, fire, and flaws. The sisterhood in this story isn’t performative or forced—it’s raw and real, bonded by blood, magic, and mutual defiance of the systems that would cage them.

Rose’s feminist undertones aren’t loud proclamations—they’re quiet revolutions. Through lyrical prose and symbolic storytelling, she exposes patriarchal structures in subtle, poignant ways, allowing the characters to reclaim their stories, bodies, and destinies on their own terms. The Maiden’s Moon itself becomes a metaphor for feminine cycles—of power, renewal, and reclamation—and the way that magic is tied to femininity felt both ancient and achingly relevant.

The whimsy in this novel isn’t just set dressing—it’s immersive and integral. Rose paints the fantastical with a brush of dream logic, where moonlight speaks, and threads of fate shimmer through the air. You can almost smell the night-blooming flowers and hear the whispered promises of old gods in the wind. Her worldbuilding is ethereal but grounded, brimming with moss-draped temples, haunted forests, and sacred rituals that feel pulled from forgotten mythologies. It’s the kind of book that makes you believe magic might just be real—if only you knew where to look.

This is a story that lingers. It laces itself around your heart and tugs gently, reminding you of your own strength, your voice, and your roots. Myla Rose is a writer to watch—fearless, poetic, and absolutely enchanting!!

This is a magical and engaging debut from Myla Rose that promises the start of an exciting series — I’m guessing a duet or trilogy based on where we left off.

The story follows Nolei, who accidentally uncovers her latent magic when defending herself against the Dark Queen’s guards — magic that is forbidden in her world. Forced to flee with her best friend Eryn, Nolei’s journey quickly evolves into a larger adventure, and I loved how their found-family crew grew along the way. The group dynamic felt fun and well-balanced, though I’m definitely keeping my eye on Eryn after some developments toward the end....

The romance element between Nolei and Leo unfolds somewhat rapidly, with a fairly quick shift from mysterious savior to intense "you're it for me" vibes — but honestly, I was here for it. I will say I found myself wishing this had been a multi-POV story; I would have loved to get inside Leo’s and Cardin’s heads too. Some sections of the story, including a few action scenes, could have been a bit more tightly paced or clearer in execution.

Overall, this delivers an enjoyable blend of adventure, magic, and romance, capped off with a cliffhanger that sets up the next book nicely. I’m looking forward to seeing how the story and characters continue to develop.

Thank you Myla Rose for the ARC! 🫶🏼

2/5 🌶️

PS: I don’t want to share my favorite quotes to avoid spoilers, but sassy Sappha being mean to the guys def added something to the group dynamic. 🤣 “This conversation would go even better if you could keep your mouth shut. Threads of the Maiden Moon was an amazing read. I was engaged immediately with Nolei! Wow, what an awesome FMC. She is tough, resilient, and gentle all in one.
I just can’t with Leo…I’m swooning. He is a true definition of a MMC. The chemistry between Nolei and Leo was incredible.
From start to finish I was captivated by the words that played out like true MAGIC to my heart. I will forever recommend this book to anyone. If you want fun, here is the book for you. Absolutely loved every page. A story full of adventure, good natured banter and the sweetest love story.

I enjoyed the world building in this book and the whole mythology system. It is really well written and complex while at the same time it’s not overwhelming.

The story grips you from the start and you are quickly wrapped up in everything happening, either reading with bated breath towards the next adventure, chuckling happily at the character’s banter or swooning at the MMCs beautiful words.

Nolei, the FMC is strong, daring and so resilient. She goes through some traumatic events and losses but she never gives up, she always bravely keeps going. I also loved that is grown woman and not just a teen. She has knowledge, experience, healing skills and as the story starts she’s also discovering the magic she holds.

Leo, the MMC, wow, where do I start. He’s proud one of the most respectful and supportive MMC I’ve come across. He’s fun, charming, capable, protective but also dangerous and mysterious. I loved how he’s always deferring to and respecting Nolei’s decisions on top of all his efforts to teach her and Eryn how to defend themselves.

And the chemistry between is somon point. Their love story blooms so naturally and beautifully it’s such a heartwarming read. Leo must be the swooniest MMC ever, his word juts melt your heart each and every time.

On top of all that the whole cast of side characters is awesome. The friendship, camaraderie, banter and found family between all them is so endearing.

Lastly those few final chapters had me glued to my chair reading breathlessly to find out what happens next.

This was a beta read but it honestly felt like a ready published book, it is so well written and engaging. I’m so excited to read more from this author.

I was asked to be an ARC reader, and I am so thankful for the opportunity but I just couldn't finish the book.

The Trigger Warnings list at the start of the books was not great. It was giving very cutesy vibes and that just felt like it wasn't taken seriously. For example some of the triggers on the list were "villains who deserve it", "shredded heart strings", "blatant feminism", and "war vibes". For someone who needs to check the trigger warning list to see if this book is potentially going to be triggering for them this is not helpful in the slightest.

The book starts off with world building which is pretty standard, and the main characters are said to be in their mid 20s which is a nice change of pace in comparison to other similar fantasy books. But even from here I was not getting on with the vibes of this book although I couldn't really tell why.

The further I read the more the writing style started to grate on me. A common one is the absence of the word "said". I know this can be used too often, but honestly it wasn't used often enough here. This was to the point where "purred" and "cooed" were used super frequently, and it was very jarring.

The FMC is meant to be mid-20s but the writing and reasoning felt very immature and she was coming across as a teenager in my opinion. It was very frustrating to read.

The author continues to give explanations of characters who have already been introduced. A common example is pretty much every time the evil queen is brought up the author explains how before she took over there was magic but now it's banned. By chapter 11 this was exhausting, and it kept happening until chapter 17. It may have continued afterwards but this is the point I DNF'd.

This book isn't all bad. The story was interesting, and it's possibly a good introduction to fantasy for someone who hasn't read much of the genre and finds trying to remember multiple long names daunting, however it's not for me.

ARC read
⭐️⭐️⭐️
🌶️🌶️.5

Single POV
Time frame in book, fast paced
Plot, slow paced

I did enjoy reading this book. It’s light hearted, an interesting little world and keeps you smiling at the interactions between the main characters. The love interest is the sweetest and he falls first.
The world building, magic, goddesses, herbology is there but it doesn’t break your brain.

I like the plot idea and getting to know the characters, but I feel this book was mostly about the interactions between characters and some parts became repetitive.
Even though the majority of the main characters are in their 20’s, it felt more that they were teenagers (nothing wrong with that, I prefer more mature MC’s)

I’d say this book seems to be Young Adult genre but on the older side with the spice scenes.

Would I read the next book?
Yes as I’m curious where the story would go next.

Thank you for the opportunity to be an ARC reader for this book.

I had to DNF this book. I really really wanted to like it and was hoping it would be my entry to the world of romance fantasy books.

However, it is so very boring and slow. I found every single thing to be over explained to the point that it was repetitive.

In my opinion, not every single character we meet (especially if they aren’t even important enough to have a name) needs an entire paragraph or more describing them.

I couldn’t get into this at all and was purely reading it because it was an arc.

While I’m grateful to have received the arc, I can’t keep reading it.

First of all, I want to thank the author for allowing me to ARC read for her.

This book is ACTION PACKED! There was never a dull moment. The world building was so good, I felt like I lived in it. The main and side characters were so well written that they truly felt like friends. Ohhh the BANTER! The banter had me laughing so hard, and it was a nice relief from all of the action.

Seeing Nolei’s growth from the start of the book to the end was so fun. She truly came into her own, and I recognized parts of myself in her.

Overall, this book is one that I will definitely be recommending to friends who like romantasy!

I have such mixed feelings about this book, which is ultimately what led to my 3 (bordering on 2.75) star review. The premise of this book - enemies to lovers fantasy novel about a girl who comes into her unknown power with the help of her childhood friend and the mysterious man she is slowly falling in love with - is everything I love and then some. But I felt like the actual plot of the book fell short of my expectations.

First, this read like a contemporary rom-com. Which, on one hand, led to plenty of steamy banter, but also led to not enough fantasy and magic. This is definitely a very subjective opinion, but I wanted to be immersed in the fantasy world I’m reading about and the modern-American-type dialogue and storytelling just didn’t do it for me. I still thought the characters were funny and relatable, but there was a separation between the setting and the story that I just couldn’t overcome.

Then, there was the plot. For the first half of the book, I felt like it was simultaneously moving too fast and giving no plot development. I blinked and suddenly I was on page 150 with no recollection of what I just read (Not that there was much to recollect). However, that wasn’t necessarily a bad thing; there was plenty of character interaction and some light world-building, so it certainly wasn’t boring. As the plot progressed though, any development and interest I had was rapidly fizzling out. The plot in the first part of the book was so promising! But halfway through, the characters found a helpful ally that basically gave them all the answers they sought and there was no need for the epic quest I was expecting. By the end of the book, I felt like I’d read a sparknotes version of the first two or three books in a series. The plot definitely could’ve been expanded to include more intricate world-building and fully explored the magical elements and abilities.

Now, on to what I came here for: nothing will beat the way Leo talks Nolei through it. I was having mixed thoughts about the plot, but Miss Myla Rose did NOT skimp on the spice. Regardless of how rom-com-y it felt (again, not a bad thing but not what I was expecting), the passion and sex was perfect. While their relationship was more strangers-to-lovers than anything else, Leo really embodied everything I like to see in my fictional male love interests. This man was down bad immediately and that never changed throughout the whole story. I did not particularly enjoy the end (iykyk), but I am hopeful that they will work through their trust issues quickly (and with an epic make-up sex scene).

Overall, this book is not in the running for favorite read of the year, but I enjoyed it. I’m very picky about my fantasy books - you can’t read ACOTAR at the ripe age of 16 and not compare everything that comes after to it - but this one did check off a few boxes. I’m also incredibly grateful to Myla Rose for send me an eARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

For witchy vibes, found family, magic, and romantasy with fast pacing that makes you giddy for more, read this!

So this one sounded like it would be so my thing—a hidden heir, a deadly witch ruling the land, magic training, a broody helper, found family vibes… all the ingredients were there.
The story follows 25 year-old Nolei, who’s been raised by her grandmother to be a healer. When she throws a rock at a soldier to stop him from cutting off a boy’s hand, it sets off a chain of events that changes everything.

I really enjoyed the found family vibes, the iconic teasing and banter, and the absolutely feet-kicking romantic sweet moments. The spicy scenes are well-done and there are a decent amount spread throughout since they have an instant attraction. I do love a possessive MMC, and we get that in spades!

It's a journey of self-discovery which is always so nice to read. As women, I love seeing characters finding even more strength than they knew possible. She was already a gifted healer and had fire in her, and now with the reveals, she's has more power and more found family than she ever imagined! And they all lift her up.

For me, it's 4 stars just because the pacing felt too fast, like we were flying from one plot point to the next without time to really sink in. Conflicts popped up but didn’t feel like they had weight or buildup. Even a major reveal was just like, okay cool, that happened. The story could have easily been 2 books to allow for more depth of conflict, growth, and resolutions.

While I liked the cast, I didn’t feel super connected to them. There were also some weird vibes between her and her bestie that seemed to come out of nowhere and didn't get fully explored. Hopefully, in the next book!

Overall, it just felt a little too easy. Even the big “dangerous” moments didn’t hit as hard as I wanted them to.

I can totally see people loving this for the fast-paced romantasy vibes, but personally, I need a bit more emotional depth and tension to really get invested.

It is a good story, and deserves to find its readers and screaming fans!

What a magical debut by Myla Rose. Threads of the Maiden’s Moon (The Witching Wood Book 1) introduces us to our FMC, Nolei. She is fierce, has a strong belief in healing and helping others, and then in the discovery of the truth. She has already dealt with so much in her 20+ years, and her world is turned upside down. Having to hide your magic, when it is a core part of who you are, is a challenge. Especially when it could cost you your life. Having her best friend, Eryn, by her side to believe in her was so wonderful to see. Leo, our MMC, appears and we have to wait to learn parts about him. One thing is for certain, he is determined to ensure no harm comes to Nolei. The chemistry between them is magnetic! He is so open with her, and watching them share parts of themselves they don’t share with others made my heart melt. The way he worships her, the heat is definitely there and you can feel it right off the pages. Leo’s friend, Cardin, joins them for journey. The banter!! The four of them had me in stitches at times.

Myla builds the world all through out the book. You learn more as Nolei does, so it fit in so well. Like we were on this journey of discovery with her. The imagery I could see so well in my mind. The feminine rage wasn’t so much as a constant roar, but more of small awakenings as Nolei finds her power and her voice. Now, she absolutely let Leo know right from the start that she and Eryn knew how to fight. Still, he took the time to help them learn ways to better protect themselves while doing it with respect (and some lighthearted ribbing).

If you love a magical story that has a strong FMC that can fight her own battles, romance and heat sprinkled in, along with being tense with not knowing what dangers could stop this journey at any moment, then you will love this book. I already cannot wait for more in this series.

Thank you to Myla for allowing me to be an ARC reader, and giving me the opportunity to give an honest review.

Firstly I’m grateful to the author for sending me an eARC to read and review!

I did enjoy Threads of the Maiden’s Moon overall. I liked the concept of the magic / divinity and I could tell the author has really thought about her world and the details behind it which was great. I liked Nolei and the journey she goes on to find out who she is and I loved the fact that she was a healer and again when she practiced her craft there was lots of little details which I felt added to her character and her story.

Hers and Eryn’s bond was beautiful and I loved the sisterhood element between the two of them. Leo was also a lovable MMC and the characters worked well together.

The reason for 3 stars for me is not a slight on the story at all and more personal preferences I feel. I’m not a huge fan of instant / fast love connections and whilst Leo and Nolei definitely had chemistry, I struggled with how fast it all was and I didn’t feel that there had been enough time for a deep and meaningful connection to develop. I also felt that some of the dialogue was a bit childish, but I do feel like that’s on purpose as the characters are a bit younger (maybe I’m just getting old at 34! Haha!) Lastly, I didn’t really understand the Queen’s motives or feel much about her at all - she’s meant to be a villain and when we finally meet her I just felt a bit underwhelmed. But this could be because the author plans to flesh this out more as the story continues!

As I say, I think much of this is more personal preference for me and there are lots of great elements and overall an enjoyable story, it just wasn’t a big hitter for me.

Threads of the Maiden’s Moon is the kind of book that reaches into your soul, wraps it in starlight and shadow, and refuses to let go. Myla Rose delivers a gorgeously crafted tale full of ancient magic, divine prophecy, and raw, unyielding heart.

Nolei’s journey from quiet healer to chosen force of fate is both powerful and deeply personal. With a scroll in hand and her past in ruins, she steps into a world that is as dangerous as it is mesmerizing. Watching her awaken not one but two formidable magical gifts—one celestial, one wild—feels like witnessing the birth of something both sacred and unstoppable. Her power isn’t just learned; it’s earned, page by page, through heartbreak, defiance, and transformation.

And then there’s Leo—deadly, loyal, and impossible to forget. The tension between him and Nolei crackles like lightning in a storm. Their bond is slow-burn and soul-deep, dancing the line between salvation and destruction. You’ll be rooting for them even as you fear what the fates have in store.

The prose? Lush. Lyrical. Laced with moonlight. Myla Rose writes with the kind of poetic precision that makes every scene feel like a spell being cast. From secret forests to bloodstained battlefields, the world is as immersive as the characters navigating it.

This is a story about power—where it comes from, who deserves it, and what happens when it’s taken back. It’s about the threads that bind us: love, destiny, pain, and choice. If you crave fantasy with fierce heroines, forbidden magic, slow-burn romance, and ancient secrets whispering through the trees, Threads of the Maiden’s Moon will leave you breathless.

I really wanted to like this book. And I did, just not as much as I wanted to.
The romance/spice was pretty good. Some things were a little predictable, that’s fine, cozy even. Possibly intended to counteract the familiar story beats, there were a lot of small character interactions that left me scratching my head wondering why a character suddenly decided to be so weird. Suddenly being super angry, or super rude, with no explanation or resolution. This wasn't enough to "ruin" anything, but certainly was enough to stand out as odd.

The magic and world building really wants to feel full and fleshed out and cohesive and kind of feels… not that. It’s not that it didn’t make sense, it wasn’t inconsistent. It just felt kind of hobbled together? And then the ending Author’s Note saying “I used the stages of womanhood as inspiration for The Divine Feminine” like the Maiden, Mother, and Crone aren’t pulled straight from Wicca/Paganism? That just left a weird taste in my mouth. The concept of “The Witching Stitch” being one person who carries two opposing strains of magic is neat, but in a world where magic is illegal anyway and we don’t get to see why they’re so different, I think it loses a lot of the intended significance and impact. This lack of impact also leads the ending feeling rushed. And kind of unsatisfying. And maybe a little underwhelming.
The pacing drags. I can normally knock out a book like this in a couple days, and this took a couple weeks. It’s a decently interesting story, but I finished it because I’m not a quitter, not so much because I couldn’t wait to see how it ended.

This captivating first book in a new fantasy series introduces us to Nolei, a young healer-in-training living with her grandmother in a kingdom ruled by fear. Magic is strictly forbidden, and those who are caught using it face execution. The ruthless Dark Queen governs with an iron grip, and her Dark Army enforces her rule without mercy.

After her grandmother is brutally murdered by the Dark Army, something powerful awakens within Nolei—an ancient nature magic tied to the very forces of the world. Forced to flee, she begins unraveling a cryptic riddle her grandmother whispered to her in her final moments. Joined by her loyal best friend Eryn, Nolei sets off on a quest to find a mysterious pond. Along the way, they meet Leo and later his friend Cardin, who become central to her journey.

Nolei has always felt a deep connection to the moon and the Moon Goddess, and as her powers grow, so does her determination to uncover the truth about who she really is. This story blends fantasy, adventure, and romance beautifully. The bond between Nolei and Leo develops quickly but feels emotionally charged and full of heart. Their connection is magnetic, and their romance is as tender as it is thrilling.

The book ends on a cliffhanger that left me wanting more. With its rich world-building, magical stakes, and swoon-worthy romance, this is a series I’m excited to continue. I can’t wait to see where Nolei’s journey takes her next.

ARC review! Thank you Myla Rose <3

I can safely say IMO, I just read the best new book series coming out. Myla Rose crafted a beautiful magical world that sucked me in right from the beginning. I love the lore and how deeply woven it is with femininity and power. I felt like that is honestly, what our world nowadays should look like.
There are some orthographic errors and sometimes the direction of the chapter or story is a bit lost.

The only thing I will say about the characters, is that I wished but at the same time, I completely understand her need to just have love and that naiveté.

I love that everyone is nice! I feel like so many books want to make characters extremely polarizing, but in Maiden's Moon, everyone is truly nice and enjoyable with the right amount of secrets.

Overall one of my favorite reads of the year so far, I'm extremely excited to read the second book and what the future has in store for Myla Rose with this being her debut. Knocked it right out of the park <3

I had been excited to get to this arc for a little while. Witches are a big love of mine, and when I saw this story involved them, I was excited.

This is a story very much written with feminist ideals in mind. The matriarchal tone of the book is a shift away from the norm of most fantasy books. Though our fmcs are often strong, the world's often still revolve around the men in them. TOTMM let's you know from the start that this land we find ourselves in was once a land of powerful and nurturing women, their main religion echos Wiccan practices and ideology with the triple goddess or as it is called here "The Devine Feminine."

It is the introduction of a villain with internalised misogyny that begins the destruction of this once peaceful land. The dark enchantress upholds damaging patriarchal practises and lets toxic masculinity run rampant if it means she can keep her power.

These obvious themes are not for those who are not avid feminists themselves even if, at times, our protagonist Nolei goes a little too far in embracing her femininity that it almost circles back around to misogynistic expectations of women.

There's a promising warmth in the story. A hope that despite living in a world where you can't know if a man will hurt you or help you just by looking at him, there exist men who are there to fight shoulder to shoulder with you no matter the cost.

This book was okay, but I didn't quite enjoy it as much as I wanted to. I went into it blindly, not knowing what to expect, and though the book wasn't bad, it wasn't for me.

While the main plot and life changes that happen to the FMC are pretty awesome, and her journey as she finds out who she really is is really nicely plotted out and executed, I didn't quite get into the book as a whole. I think readers who enjoyed the first ACOTAR book would enjoy this one a lot, as it has the same kind of feel to it. The FMC has the same energy as Feyre, which I did not like. (I was not a fan of the first ACOTAR book at all to the point I have DNF'd the series as a whole, mind you.) There's no slow burn at all, it's instant love and obsession, and I am not a big fan of that type of romance - but those sex scenes are phenomenal. Myla does an incredible job with her descriptions throughout the book (both spicy and non-spicy).

I also found the characters a little hard to take seriously, and I found myself starting to dislike Nolei as I disliked Violet in Fourth Wing (I do like her now, having obsessively read all three books).

Again, this is not a bad book; it was just not for me. Plenty of other readers do love it! It might be right up your alley.

I received an eARC from the author; this did not impact my review and all thoughts are my own.

Overall I enjoyed TOTMM and I'm looking forward to seeing how much better each book in the series will get from here!

Very much into the witchiness vibes and magic system that the author came up with for this book, it felt very original

At times the wording was very stylized and fancy, and at other times it felt like we were polled right back into a modern moment with the dialogue between characters and that would kind of take me out of the book for a moment

The romance between the main characters was very fast and I wasn't sure which trope we were going with... But the 🔥 was 🤌

A few times where a character's name and their title was said and repeated every couple of pages and that felt very monotonous

A few plot twists I could see coming a mile away, but she surprised me with a few as well!

My favorite quote and new favorite thing to say:

“This conversation would go even better if you could keep your mouth shut. I find that there is very little a male could say to add value to any conversation.”

I don’t want this book to be over! I just finished book 1: Threads of the Maiden’s Moon by Myla Rose and already miss the characters! From the very first page the description of the MFC’s home in the woods had my attention.
It started out with action right away, the character development was next, so you really felt like you got to know each character individually and personally. I love how you got to know the MFC’s thoughts, and inner conflict, which were very relatable to any woman no matter how self-confident or insecure they feel!
Then, bam, slam! Ohhh! …and oooHHH! Every chapter has some major turning point, unpredictable in oh, such a good way! I feel like there’s something for everyone in this. If you like fantasy fiction there’s a little Fae and a little magic. If you like romance, there’s some sex scenes, you won’t want to skim over quickly, wink*,
Despite the fictitious world, none of it is hard to follow. It still could be a light, easy vacation read.
The ending?! Well, I don’t want to give it away, let’s just say… It shouldn’t have ended there damnit!
Now I have to get book 2! I hope Myla Rose hurries up!

I received this book to read in review and exchange for an advanced reader copy and hear my honest thoughts:

There were a lot of things that I really really liked about this book such as the really strong female characters the found family and friendship tropes. I loved the way that the author used imagery to create these scenes. I feel like sometimes in the scenes I felt as though I was able to see clearly in my mind, what was going on around me like I was there. I think that the characters were really fun for the most part and I think that this is a really exciting new fantasy read

However, it turns out that I’m not a big fan of the Insta love trope at all. But some people do really like Insta love so if you like Insta love, you will not have a problem with this book. I just don’t really like it that much and it just felt a little flat for me.

Overall, for not being a big fan of Insta love I did genuinely enjoy this book. I rated a three stars though, because it isn’t something that I would reread, but I think I would read the next book.
