It's been two years since Adamas Riscarte was abandoned by his author, Noa. Kaya nang magkaroon ng malfunction sa Fictosa System, releasing villains from the fictional dimension into the real world, Adamas seizes the opportunity to search for her.
Sa literal na paglabas ni Adamas sa librong Odds of Tribes, he discovers a heartbreaking truth: his best-selling author died two years ago. However, upon finding a note left by Noa, he realizes that there may have been foul play involved in her death.
Bestowed with power, Adamas vows to unravel the mysteries of her death and punish those who drove Noa to despair before Fictosa System is repaired. Like the villain he was written to be, Adamas unleashes a storm of retribution upon the real world with the help of his author's note.
As a reader-writer who's gotten used to twisted story writings, this book turned out to be very linear; it was straight to the point. The main character had a goal and he did it without any hesitations. This story quenches my thirst for main characters who have the guts to do justice and not care what the hell society would think. In short, the MC is not dumb, undecisive, and helpless. Hindi siya tanga.
This is the journey of an anti-hero who avenges his maker—the person he loves. He executed his goals well because he had three things that most of us lack in reality: plan, power, and a corset vest... charot; he had a sense of justice.
The crazy thing about it was that, despite the story being fictional, the issues surrounding responsible parenting and parent alienation were screaming loud and clear through the book. Grabe, iyong mga salitan ng litanya. Totoong-totoo!
Overall, fictional as it may seem, this novel can be a huge metaphor for the idea that parents play a great role in their children's future. To those who are experiencing pressure from their parents right now, and to those who plan to be good parents someday, once you grasp the real morale of this story, this book is definitely a must read.
Add ko lang, this character trio gives a vibe similar to "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy". Haha

Grabe, I can't explain the mix of emotions I felt while reading this book. Para akong hinila sa iba't ibang damdamin-lungkot, galit, saya, at kahit kawalan ng pag-asa in some parts. The writing is so powerful that it really made me cry, not just because of the scenes but because of the deep sense of empathy I felt for the characters.
This is more than just a story; it's full of meaningful lessons that stay with you. Ang daming gustong iparating ng librong ito, pero ang pinaka-nangingibabaw for me is the reminder that we should always be kind to everyone-in words and in actions. Every little thing we do has an impact, so it's important to treat others with compassion and understanding.
I highly recommend this book to everyone. Hindi lang ito nagbibigay ng inspiration, but it also opens your eyes to the importance of treating others with care. This is truly an unforgettable masterpiece.
