An absolutely adorable book highlighting friendship and the value of teamwork. Kiko’s birthday party is almost ruined by a bug, but friends step in to save the day - and Kiko’s boat! The catchy phrases and witty wordplay create a memorable sense of fun for all readers, while also showcasing the importance of problem solving and cooperation. This book is delightful. A great read which will leave kids giggling and inspired.

An absolutely delightful tale. The expressions and lyrics will have kids and adults giggling. Blair Williamson takes the reader on a wonderful journey of pure chaos as a bug invades Kiko’s boat. She does an amazing job centering the reader in every moment Kiko experiences, from pure horror and embarrassment to determination and teamwork. This hilarious tale is a must read and a great gift especially for a birthday! The illustrations are fun and energetic.

It's not clear from the cover, but there's a double meaning to the word, "bash," as Kiko inadvertently "bashes" up his boat trying to get rid of a bug. This birthday story is full of onomatopoeia and exclamations. I can imagine my kids giggling and laughing at the mess Kiko makes. The story ends in a way that is satisfying, as he uses his skills to fix the situation, and share a birthday celebration with his friends.

When his plans are almost ruined by a bug (and a bit of an overreaction on his part), friends show up to work as a team and save the day. Blair's text is a fun read-aloud with wordplay and rhymes, and Taylor's art style is the icing on the birthday cupcake! Kids and adults will enjoy this funny journey of mishaps and adventure.

The illustrations in this book are action packed, lively and bright, and the book offers a mix of speech bubbles, colored font, and regular text along with hilarious onomatopoeia. This is a fun read for families and classrooms to induce giggles and discussions about problem solving, self-regulation and overwhelm.

Birthday Bash is a sweet children’s book about friendship, helping others in time of need and thinking outside the box - or boat shall I say :) I read this to my baby almost every night and I swear he loves looking at the bright and fun illustrations just as much as he loves hearing me read the book to him. Blair is an amazing children’s book author and we have loved following her. If your child liked her book, “Island Girls”, they will love Birthday Bath!

When a bug crashes the party prep, Kiko overreacts, and his attempts to bash the bug almost dash his big plans. Fortunately, his friends help him refocus and he’s able to rally to save the day. Young readers will relate to Kiko’s big feelings and will find humor in his oversized response to the challenge he faces as well as enjoy the satisfying resolution to this silly story.

The tiniest nuisance becomes an enormous problem for Kiko, a mouse whose birthday plans quickly go underwater when he struggles to stay calm. Kids will love the escalating chaos, appealing characters, and imperiled cupcakes. The cheerful art is accompanied by speech bubbles and bold onomatopoeia. Very fun!

Really fun! It reminds me of the 90's movie Mouse Hunt, but the funny thing for me was that the protagonist was a mouse! A bug keeps getting in the cupcakes he's trying to decorate for his birthday, and in his indignation, he makes the problem worse and worse! Kids will love all the silly phrases and ideas he comes up with.

A little mouse nearly destroys his own party as he desperately tries to catch a fly who keeps landing on the cupcakes. But his friends come together to save the day. I think children will love this hilarious story that will get everyone laughing at every page turn.

Oh, Kiko! What an adorable character, but he does go a bit overboard in his zest to rid the birthday party of a fly! I enjoyed the ensuing chaos, destruction, and friends who helped right the boat. This is a fun engaging story with active colorful illustrations! Birthday plus boat plus uninvited guest.
