The Substitute Female Supporting Character Sees the Bullet Screen

Absolutely loved the novel! The beginning of the romance may be a bit wonky, nevertheless satisfying. Absolutely loved the female lead, Nie Yinzhi, slapping the OG characters' faces, revealing their hypocritical inner self. No body is destined to be sacrificed for others. Even if someone is willing to, that's completely their choice, nothing to do with circumstances.
The bullet comments were hilarious too. Whenever my eyes grew wet with tears, they came out providing comedic relief. It was as if the author didn't want any type of crying from her readers, just writing sweet romance.
Nie Yinzhi and Gu Jiang is a strong duo with strong chemistry. Both domineering in their own way. When can I get a doting and easy-going bf like Gu Jiang? He was sleepily adorable😭💖. My man was ready to sacrifice himself for her, to have a happily-ever-after together, even when he was completely shut off from his emotions that had to do with love. Even the side stories, I couldn't get enough!!!
Honorary mentions for Fan Hanying, the OG demon lord and villain. The guy was like a wholly career minded adopted son with no thoughts for love and I respect. An Huai and Bai Ying's story hurt so much though. They deserve their happy ending in another universe😭😭

This was an absolutely ridiculous romp. The extras too/especially. They were ... true extras in the sense that they were so incomplete! Although for once we did get a story that itself was pretty solidly ended.
I do wish we'd gotten more romance before they were separated... *sigh* very typical cnovel shit there. And there wasn't as much face slapping as I'd expected. But I did like that most of it was lowkey sweetness. LOL and shout out to the author for her incredibly creative ways to depict sex that didn't trigger censorship. LOL I lift my glass to you.

Cute and fun! Pretty fast moving plot with a slightly slower focus on the MC and ML's developing relationship and how they face a rather typical cultivation world. Enjoyed all the little interactions, side characters, and cute & hilarious extras.
