Armed with killer heels, sexy specs, and an all access press pass, Astrid infiltrates the New York Titans as a journalist writing an exclusive exposé on Aiden and his twin brother, Blake. She’s got the charm, the wit, and all the right moves to get under Aiden’s skin. But there’s a snag—brooding, maddeningly irresistible Blake keeps getting in her way.
Astrid is here to break a heart, not lose her own. But when sparks fly with the wrong twin, she’s playing a dangerously different game…
Rachael Stewart adores conjuring up romance stories for her readers, from the sweet to the sexy, but always with a happy ever after.
She's been writing since she could put pen to paper but believing publication to be a pipe dream, she pursued a sensible career in business and spent many years in the corporate world where she never truly belonged. Eventually, she found her way back to her happy place i.e. her stories. Writing is now her full-time job and passion. A dream come true.
A Welsh lass at heart, she now lives in Yorkshire with her husband and three children, and if she's not glued to her laptop, she's wrapped up in them or enjoying the great outdoors seeking fresh inspiration.
Book three in this absolutely fabulous series and I fell into it from the start, after four young woman meet at a snowed in airport in Chicago, they decide that their ex’s need to be taught a lesson and the Karma Club is formed and this time it is Astrid’s time to get, some karma on Sienna’s ex Aiden Carter NHL NY Titans hockey star, but Aiden has a twin Blake, how is this going to turn out?
Journalist Astrid is hired to do a piece on the twins this is going to give her a way in to get to Aiden, the only problem is Blake, bad boy Blake who Astrid feels such a pull to this is not going to be easy when it is Aiden she is after and Blake seems to be drawn to her as well, let the fun begin.
Things are not turning out the way Astrid planned and things are heating up, the last thing she wants to do is let her new best friends down and lose her own heart, love is not what she is looking for and she didn’t think Blake was either.
I loved this one so much, sensual, emotional, witty fun, oh and the ice-hockey, I loved Astrid and the characters that have I become friends with in this series, truly this is one that I highly recommend to any lover of a good romance it is sure to keep you smiling, I was cheering them all on and I can’t wait for the last one in the series, bring it on. Thank you MS Stewart for another awesome story.
My thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for my copy to read and review.
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for providing this book, with my honest review below:
After reading an extremely complicated historical (war based) fiction book, I desperately needed an easy to digest and fun read. The Puck Stops Here fit that bill in spades. I never can resist a hockey romance book - and Astrid and Blake's story did not disappoint. The plot was easy enough to follow - love scorned women looking to dish back a little karma to the men that did them wrong...but will the plan succeed or backfire in the most delicious way imaginable? Delicious in the sense that I devoured the entire book in less than 24 hours - and as a sleep deprived mom of 5, staying up till all hours of the night to keep reading 'just one more chapter' is saying something. It had just the right amount of spice and slow burn to keep pulling me along to see how the story would unfold, The author does a great job developing characters that are relatable, flaws and all, that make you want to root for everyone to have a good ending. I love a book that makes me feel lighter and not like I had to really focus in order to understand and the Puck Stops Here was just that.
My few MINOR complaints were the following: The story follows a number of characters born and raised in the United States, but the words they use are frequently not how, at least in my experience, Americans speak. A few examples are referring to boarding an airplane as 'the coach this morn', or sleeping in as 'lie-in', or to walk up to something is to 'rock up', or going to someone's home as 'calling' on them, or a French press is called a 'cafetiere', saying 'aye' for yes, calling a young boy a 'lad' etc... While none of these things kept me from enjoying the book, it did distract me a bit and made the story feel a little less authentic due to the fact it was happening during the times Americans were supposed to be speaking or at least from their point of view. Also, much of the writing is put together in a way that I had to reread sentences here and there to see if there might have been a typo or if it was simply said in a way that is more palatable for the British and not as understood by an American. "Blake looked back to the exit. To where she'd been stood...feeling her presence even though she was gone" To where she'd been stood made me pause to realize this wasn't a typo, it just simply meant 'to where she had last been standing.' Also, many colloquialisms I was not aware of that had me stopping to google- journalists are referred to as journos, foo foo was slang for vagina, calling air-conditioning 'aircon'. There were many times throughout the book that I was just slightly distracted by these little things. In the overall scheme of things, very unimportant, but for some reason it stuck out for me. Just the same, I very much enjoyed this easy and fun read, and am intrigued by the dangling carrot the author leaves at the end.
⭐️⭐️⭐️½ – Spicy, Dramatic, and Unexpectedly British
[Spoiler Warning – Mild plot elements discussed below]
The Puck Stops Here is a steamy sports romance that delivers on heat, chemistry, and emotional chaos. Rachel Stewart doesn’t shy away from bold, sensual scenes—this book is seriously spicy, and fans of high-heat romance will not be disappointed.
The central love triangle adds a heavy dose of romantic tension. At times, the dynamic felt a bit messy, but it worked to keep the emotional stakes high and the plot moving. Readers who enjoy some drama alongside their steam will find plenty to sink their teeth into.
One thing that stood out was the distinctly British tone woven through the narrative, despite the American setting. The characters and world are firmly U.S.-based, but the dialogue and phrasing often lean into a UK dialect. It gave the book a unique voice, but it occasionally felt slightly jarring and might distract readers looking for more regional consistency.
That said, the story is addictive, the pacing is strong, and the emotional payoff is satisfying. A solid pick for fans of sports romance who love a confident, sexy heroine, complicated relationships, and a bit of international flair.

I love the Karma Club books. I love the hijinks these characters get into, and the karma they give the men!
There are 4 books by 4 authors. Each FMC is giving karma to another's ex boyfriend. These books are funny and touching. And I love the connection and friendship the 4 FMCs have made.
In The Puck Stops Here, Astrid is after one twin of a major hockey team. She uses her journalistic background to get close to him and realizes there's more to the story than his ex, and her friend, Sissi, knows. There's also his twin brother that she has an undeniable attraction to.
This book didn't have as much funny karma (though did have some!) but it really had heart. It had growth for all the main characters. I loved the story. I loved how the brothers took care of each other. I loved the attraction between Astrid and Blake. It's a great book and I cannot wait to read the next Karma Club book.
⭐ 3.5 🌶️ 1.5 🥵 Spicy chapters: 21, 23, 24, 27 📚 Tropes/Themes: hockey, slow burn, love triangle-ish? Revenge, pmdd rep 👀 Dual POV 1st person 💔 Triggers: mentions of: parental abandonment, alcoholism, DV and CA
💬 I feel pretty neutral about this book. It was okay but the story didn't really grab me. I did get a little bit more interested in the end when the drama kicked up, but for the most part I didn't really feel very strongly either way about it.
I think my biggest issue is I couldn't decide initially if the karma/revenge thing was cute or childish. It might be a weird double standard or something, but I think it wouldn't have bothered me as much, if I were watching this as a movie. In a movie you don't really have as much time to sit and chew over what's happening so I would have found the revenge plot enjoyable. But since I'm reading it and I can sit there and process things, I can't get past the idea that it's just childish.
Along with that, I guess it makes me a bad woman but I kind of feel like the PMDD thing is weird. I know it's a real thing- I even know people who struggle with it but I guess I just didn't expect that of all things to be included as part of the tension. I stand by the need for normalizing and the destigmatization of menstrual cycles but I guess for so long it's been used to excuse away and devalue a woman's valid feelings/concerns, that it was kind of jarring to see it mentioned.
As much as I loved this book’s ending I had a hard time reading this book. I don’t like love triangles at all and the sibling/twin aspect made me feel a little sick to be honest. As someone who dated a twin, the thought of just switching or worse being with siblings is gross. So, I almost DNF for the majority of the book but I’m glad I pushed past that aspect.
I realize the above seems harsh for a 4 star review but I wanted other readers who have the same feelings as me to see that first in the review preview. There is a love triangle but there also isn’t… there is nuance to it and you have to remember this is a revenge book. The FMC is suppose to make twin A(for a**hole) fall in love with her and then leave him so he gets his karma. Having feelings for twin B (baby bad boy) was not intentional. So you have to keep that in mind.
There is also a plot twist/reveal in this book (that I won’t spoil) but it changes everything!!!! Literally everything, I cried big time!
This book was a lot of set up for the last book and starting to round everything together but everything is so tentatively holding itself together… I’m nervous! 😂
Astrid is such a gentle soul, but also a fierce, independent business woman as well. In comes her pact with her best friends where they each seek to get revenge/karma for something that has happened to them. So, Astrid embarks on a mission to get to know Aiden and Blake, the Titan twins. Hockey players with a mischievous, yet caring streak who have had a difficult time growing up.
I enjoyed this novel and liked the dual perspective narrative between 2 of the main characters. It was a fun, easy read that had me vying for the main characters to get together. Generally a cute, fun book.
This novel explores the idea of found family/strong friendships and being there for people all the time. There are elements of alcoholism/domestic violence that are weaved throughout the story at times. Other TW include miscarriages.

Gruff hockey player Blake meets his match with journalist Astrid.
Astrid and her friends make a pact to get revenge on their ex’s for making their lives miserable. Astrid ends up agreeing to fool Sienna’s ex Aiden and making a mockery of him to the world.
Things don’t quite go to plan when Astrid falls for Aiden’s twin brother Blake. Astrid goes behind the scenes to write an article about the brothers and how they became such superstars in the NHL. She gets very close to the brothers but there is a big spark with twin number 2.
It then gets complicated when feelings change and Astrid struggles with her deceit.
Third act breakup but doesn’t last long and we get the HEA we all love and need!
Great story by this author and will definitely read more.
the premise of this was interesting, although I had a bit of a tough time getting into it. I'm glad that I stuck with it. Blake and Astrid were similar and instantly attracted to each other. The twin dynamic was intriguing and helped the story. I enjoyed this and I really want Sienna and Aiden's story now.

‘Hey Twinkle Toes, good of you to join us.’
The way he calls her Twinkle Toes does something to me. I am swooning. A lighthearted story, with an emotional background, as each of the characters has their own battles behind closed doors, but they're slowly finding together, sharing their experiencesand finding comfort in each other.
Astrid is such a fierce woman, always holding herself up. And there is more to Blake than what he wants (or is scared of for) everyone to see. The two of them are really quite the pair, and i loved the dynamic between them ❤️
📚 Synopsis:
When Astrid Sinclair, 2x Journalist of the Year, meets her kindred spirits at a snowed-in airport, she knows she’s found her ride-or-die circle—women with a lot to love and an ex they'd sooner hate. But hating's no fun, karma is! So they hatch a plan to go after one another's ex...
Astrid's target? NHL superstar Aiden Carter—the man who traded his childhood sweetheart for the bright lights of fame, tearing her new BFF's heart in two. Astrid's plan? For the punishment to fit the crime!
She’s got the charm, the wit, and all the right moves to get under Aiden’s skin. She's capable of winning anyone over, from the most meretricious of models to the most sullen of celebs. She would get to the truth. But there’s a snag—brooding, maddeningly irresistible Blake keeps getting in her way.
Astrid is here to break a heart, not lose her own. But when sparks fly with the wrong twin, she’s playing a dangerously different game…
I really wanted to read The Puck Stops Here because I’ve read the first two Karma Club books and loved the idea of four women bonding over a wild karmic revenge plan. Book one was a hit for me, book two a little less so. Since I’m not a fan of ice hockey at all, I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one, but I was curious.
I really liked the writing style, it made the characters come alive. There was great chemistry between Astrid and both of the twin brothers. There were some super sweet moments and the romance built up slowly, which I loved. The tension was just right, playful and flirty with an undercurrent of real emotion that made the connection feel both fun and meaningful.
Also, can we talk about that spilled custard scene? Iconic.
This book is part of the Karma Club world, but it doesn’t really add anything new to the overarching story. You recognise the characters and setting, but it doesn’t go much deeper. You could easily read it as a standalone, which I think is a bit of a missed opportunity.
Overall, a fun and spicy slowburn. If you're a romance lover looking for a light and sweet read with a bit of steam, this one’s for you. No need to care about hockey, just bring your love for love.
This is an ARC review. I want to thank Rachael Stewart and Boldwood Books for allowing me the chance to read this book ahead of release day! This book I couldn’t wait after reading the first two in the series. Astrid is my kinda girl who is a no nonsense girl who curses without abandonment. The goal is to get back at Sissi’s ex Aiden but she quickly found herself more drawn to his twin brother, Blake. After finding out more of Aiden and Blake’s backstory, I just knew there had to be a case of mistaken identity as Aiden couldn’t have been the person to totally crush our Sissi! Astrid might not of had such a physically trauma filled background but she connected with the twins so effortlessly about having crappy fathers. Being able to let off steam on the ice is probably my favorite parts of a hockey romance based book. And this delivered. Thank goodness for a much needed image overhaul which allowed Astrid the best Segway into their lives. I’m looking forward to the next chapter in their lives as well as our last Just Desserts love story!
My favourite so far in the Karma Club series. Probably because the MMC is a hockey player 😉
The third book of the series. We're getting the hang of it by now, the women met at the airport, aired their grievances about their exes, and have sworn to exact revenge on each other's behaves! In the first two books... we see that things easily go sideways. And in this story, that certainly continues!! Astrid has managed an interview with the Titan Twins, a top notch hockey brotherly duo, in order to boost Blake's reputation that's been taking a downward turn lately. She's also supposed to be making Aiden pay, but ends up falling for his bad boy twin brother in the process. "Save one brother's career if he so deserved, while dishing up just desserts on the other."
I liked how the twins balanced each other out, and how caring they are for their mother. Blake and Astrid each have their own personal battles, and I absolutely love how they help each other and their open communication (even if it's only because of the interview). Definitely some insta-love here, and insta-lust, which I'm not usually a fan of, but it works. We also learn there is a lot more to Aiden and Sienna's story 10 years ago, on both of their sides. I can't wait to read the fourth and last book, and see how Sienna's story plays out!! Eek! I'm a little bummed we didn't get to read the article Sienna writes in the end, but ah well, we know it was good!
One critique - I believe the author is British, and while Astrid's character is British, some of the things the twins say throughout this story are British terms or sayings... American hockey bros definitely wouldn't be going around saying "Too true".. that just took me out of it a little.
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC!

The Puck Stops Here is a continuation of The Karma Club series, which will appeal as a must read romance with a twist for fans of lighter revenges gone right (at the end). In this book we follow Astrid, a journalist who is using her occupation to get close to hockey twins Blake and Aiden. The real target here is Aiden, who truly broke another member of the club, Sienna’s, heart years ago when he left town and broke all contact.
Unlike the previous books this had several more serious topics at its heart and I believe that works well for book 3 of this series and if this is read as a standalone. Blake is the real subject of Astrid’s article even though Aiden is the target for Astrid’s revenge, and they have an instalust that heats up quickly. Well done, just like the other books, I’m constantly surprised that all the books are written by different authors, since they do a great job of calling back to one another and keeping the characters true to readers’ precious peeks at them.
A more emotional story, and absolutely worth picking up whether you like the series or want a diversion in a single book. Now to voice what other fans of the series must surely be thinking… we are going to see Harvey (who is actually foul, unlike most of the other targets) get his epic takedown in the next book, right?
This is book 3 in the Karma Club, an interconnected standalone series written by four different authors. Follows a group of four women who become friends at an airport and decide to assist the others in exacting revenge.
📚 forced proximity 📚 grumpy hockey player 📚 dual POV
🌶️🌶️
|Thoughts| I can never go past a hockey romance and this one delivered. Hard not to fall for the broody hockey player who just needs someone to break down his barriers.
“He wanted to be better than his brother to get her, too. And he’d never been better than his brother. Not ever”
This was a bit of a slow burn and I’m here for it. There was a moment where it felt like the story was going to go in another direction (see twin brothers), but felt Astrid & Blake complimented each other well.
The bond between the twin brothers was a highlight, especially how they went about ensuring the other had what they needed, even going so far as to play matchmaker.
Some things didn’t quite hit for me though. It does end fairly abruptly and a little cliche however, I suppose their story does continue in the next book, even if they aren’t the main characters.

Because I read pretty fast, and sometimes struggle with “what to read next,” I love a good series. While I prefer series by one author, I have enjoyed a few by multiple authors. When I read “Settling the Score” by Clare Connelly, I fell a bit in love with all of the characters. I decided to go back to the beginning and read the other books. I found the first two books easily, and really enjoyed them. When I found out the third book wasn’t out yet, I was a bit heartbroken. That’s why I was so thrilled to get a chance to read it a bit early!
If you have read first two books, you are probably aware that they take place during the same timeline. This book is also on that timeline. While I do believe this book could be read as a standalone, it does add to the enjoyment and the understanding of some of the conversations if you have read the other books. I will say that you could probably read the books out of order; however, definitely read book four LAST!
In regards to this specific book, I loved it just as much as all of the other books in the series. Having read book four already, it was a bit nice knowing that everything was going to work out just fine. I am excited to read more books by these authors in the future.
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**
The Puck Stops Here was an enjoyable read for me. It took until about the halfway mark for the story to fully grab me, but once it did—I was locked in.
I think the author handled the complexity of the situation—Astrid’s revenge plot versus the actual truth—beautifully. I was a little worried that this angle might lead me to dislike her, but Astrid came across as both genuine and tactful. Despite her initial motivation and underlying guilt, there was surprisingly little actual deception on her part. She remained professional throughout, with just a few playful hijinks (Lion King moment, anyone?).
What really surprised me, though, was how emotional this story made me. The prevalent theme of family—both found and from—hit hard in the best way. Blake and Aiden’s relationship with each other and with their mother, in particular, added a level of tenderness and heart that I wasn’t expecting in a sports romance. It grounded the story and gave it lasting impact.

Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books, and Rachael Stewart for the privilege of receiving this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book is the third book in the Karma Club series and I have a strong need to get my hands on and read the other 3 stories immediately! I loved the way these ladies all became friends and found myself hooked as Astrid started her journey. I got a litter nervous when here or there her fantasies seemed like they were going to lead in a "why choose" direction because with the love interests being brothers, that was going to be a little too much for me but I really appreciated how Aiden could see what was going on and what was best for his brother right away and started playing match maker. I always enjoy a protective, tough MMC who is just so goey on the inside so Blake was so delightful to read about and he and Astrid's banter and chemistry were perfect.
If I had anything negative to say, it would be that throughout the book it seemed like even the American characters used English slang and terms and so that just took a little bit away from the believability of the story. (I know, I know, it's fiction, but I notice those kinds of things).
I can't wait to read the other books in this series!
Thank you to Net Galley, Boldwood Books, and Rachael Stewart for an eARC of this story.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for sending me an ARC of this book! While this could read as a standalone, this is the third book in a series focusing on one of the main characters. Because all of the characters/storylines are interconnected, it's a more satisfying read if you read the entire series. And what I will say is clever about this series: each FMC's story is written by a different author. As such, each book/FMC has a unique voice even though the books themselves tend to follow a storyline formula.
This book followed Astrid's story, which you get glimpses of in the other books, but really delve into here. I thought this book read the clunkiest of the three so far. While the main character is British, the story and other characters are all set in NY. Knowing that, I was constantly thrown while reading because all the characters spoke as if they were from the UK. The NY characters were using phrases and words that New Yorkers would never use and it made for awkward reading. This book also used multiple POVs, which I don't mind, but they would switch mid chapter and sometimes I found myself having to go back and reread to understand whose POV I was reading. Overall it was a sweet, predictable, feel good read, and as the other books do, it set up the final book #4 very well.
You know that magical feeling — curling up in a cozy bed, rain tapping on the window, book in hand, and the world just starts to melt away? That’s exactly what "The Puck Stops Here" felt like. Warm, funny, swoony perfection.😍🥰
The romance? Heart-fluttering and knee-wobbling.🥰 The spice? Just the right amount to make you blush.🤭 The POV shifts were seamless, and every character — even the coach — felt real and lovable.
But the humor. Oh my goodness 👏👏. I expected a few giggles, maybe a snort or two. What I got? Full-on cackling, until I was gasping for air. 🤣 Rachael Stewart is a comic genius 👏 — she seriously needs to consider stand-up on the side.
From the outrageous revenge mission to the fierce, ride-or-die friendships and the banter that made my heart ache in the best way — I was obsessed.😍 And Blake and Astrid? Their chemistry crackled off the page from the first moment. I couldn’t get enough.🔥
I’ve read a lot of hockey romances, but this one? It makes me want to bundle up, grab some cocoa, and sit rink-side with the fictional Titans — because this team? Adorable, chaotic, and completely irresistible.
10/10. Unputdownable. Unforgettable.
I received a free Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
My first book by Rachael Stewart and now I want to go back and read the previous from the series! The premise is so good and different. When you read as much as I do you love for something new to come along.
🏒 Revenge Pact 🏒Hockey Romance 🏒Forbidden Romance 🏒Workplace Romance 🏒 John Tucker Must Die meets The Hating Game
Astrid is a journalist who has been scorned by a man. While snowed in at the airport she meets 3 other women who turn into her ride-or-dies as they bond over the men that hurt them. It’s during this drunken experience that they make a pact to hurt the exes of one another. Astrid gets pro hockey player Aiden Carter. Aiden broke Astrid’s new bestie when he left her behind and now he must be punished. Astrid’s way in? Aiden’s twin brother Blake. The problem? Blake might be just what she needs. Can she accomplish her mission without breaking her own heart?
The immediate mention of PMDD made me know I’d love this because YES PMDD IS REAL.
Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the ARC.
I love the concept behind these books. Four new friends are out to get revenge against the ex-boyfriends in their lives. The ex-boyfriend that Astrid meets is Aiden, but it's his twin brother Blake who she can't seem to get enough of. I loved this romance as Astrid did her best to not get tangled up with Blake, who seems to be every bit her usual type (bad boy and heart breaker) but she soon begins to see that there's much more to him than first thought. It doesn't help that his twin Aiden also doesn't seem to be quite the heart breaker he first appeared to be. I thought that Blake and Astrid made a great couple and worked so well together. Seeing Astrid trying to resist him, while still convincing him that he was just as much of a good guy as his twin brother was great. I've already got the next book in this series lined up and ready to go. I'm just a bit sad I haven't read the first two yet, but I plan to change that soon. I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and given voluntarily.
I enjoyed this book so much. It took a revenge plot and twisted it into a, but I fell for the brother. I love the concept behind these books: four new friends make a pact to exact revenge on each other’s exes. I can’t wait to read the others in this series. This one has some unfinished business between the friend and the actual ex that I think must be resolved in their own book. Blake and Astrid: the bad boy hockey star and the journalist that could fix his rep are hot. I adore the friendship they create and the way they get forced together. While I loved the story, there were elements that could have been better explored. Rating: 3.5 Spice: 1.5 fell a bit flat when it could have smoked us out. Thanks to NetGalley for an ARC!
This Karma Club installment had a lot of serious topics as well as lots of yearning between the two main characters. One golden boy twin along with his bad boy brother and fellow hockey teammate are the subjects of Astrid’s next journalism story. She is using her time interviewing them as her means to getting revenge for the way Sienna was treated 10 years ago. It has realistic portrayal of alcoholism, domestic violence, as well as PMDD.
This series keeps weaving an intricate web and I am here for it. The timelines overlap in each and are best read in order. Only one more story until we see karmic fall out in its entirety for this group of women.
Thank you Boldwood Books for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley.
I received this book thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books as an ARC but all opinions are my own.
I had such a great time reading this book. It was a mix of some serious topics but also a really fun time. The relationships in this book were written so well. I love Astrid's relationship with her karma club girls, even though their friendship started as revenge against their exes it blossoms into something more and deeper. Blake and Aiden have such a great sibling relationship. I also enjoyed Blake and Aiden's relationship with their mom as well as Astrid's relationship with her mom. Astrid's relationship with Aiden started off as one thing but evolved when he saw the good she could do for his brother and that was really sweet. I really loved Blake in this book, he is not a perfect character and really had growth throughout the book.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read this!
There was soo much going on in this book! I feel most of us have had a bad break up or terrible ex we wish we could get revenge on. This was so satisfying and hilarious to read. I loved the friendship and the scheming. Even though things didn't go as planned for most of the characters, the love story was perfect. Brought some tears to my eyes towards the end!
I loved the blurb and the fact that it was mentioned it is like a John Tucker Must Die movie made me request a book on NetGalley. What I didn't know is that this is book 3 in a series. I have Book 1 on my Kindle (also an ARC from NG), but this one hooked its claws on me first. I thought this book was a standalone, and it kind of is but it is heavily connected to the previous books. I said heavily because reading the first chapter made me realise I have NO clue what was going on. I didn't know who was who to the point I had to actually go to Goodreads to decipher who is the FMC. A lot of names and no description what is their connection. The fact that it is written in third POV makes deciphering that much harder. What also bothered me is that the revenge pact or early memories of how they (the friends of FMC) met weren't even mentioned. I was really disappointed and frankly slightly pissed not to know what is going on. Obviously, I knew the basics from the blurb, but otherwise, chapter 1 is a mess through and through for a new reader. A recap of previous encounters and books would be nice in passing. The rest of the book was quite okay. Blake was a great, easygoing character who felt things deeply. As for Astrid, it was mentioned she's from the UK and working there, but I felt like the future after they stayed together wasn't mentioned. Does she stay in the USA, work remotely, or what? Would love more spicy scenes too, but oh well. 3.5 stars.

what a fun revenge plot. i love how these girls get together and try to get back at each others exes. this was a very enjoyable read, and of course the romance was amazing. i am curious to read the other books in the series as well, and see how their plots turn out.

The third book in the karma club series and loved it again. This karma club has so many vibes it’s brilliant. This one follows astrid and Blake’s story. I just loved it. The banter the romance it was all a perfect mix. Cannot wait for the next one.
A cute sports romance, plenty of smut and a cast of fun, likable characters. This is a great light read with a few hard topics that's are discussed but not shown in the book.
