I liked this but not as much as I'd expected/wanted. The romance was ... SO TEPID. Like ... obviously it was THERE and you hoped - but with so many barriers... unsure if he REALLY supported her till like 80% in or later, AND THEN KNOWING SHE'S PROBABLY GOING TO DIE AT ANY MINUTE. And that not being resolved till like what 241 😒
I'm trying not to let the MTL affect things but that definitely didn't help. Just ... disappointed this wasn't as sweet and romantic as her other books. GIVE US MORE SWEETNESS, DAMMIT.
I really loved these characters. <3

Not my favorite by the author but still a great read. I think the female mc is a lot more different than the other female mcs. I liked the tension between the leads cuz I’m a sucker for slow burn
