4.25⭐️ fuck me up this was so good, no one is ready for it. LITERALLY WHAT THE FUCK FIVE MINUTES INTO READING.
I adore Willow and Gray so much. Back to enemies. He brings her comfort and she hates it and I love it. Thrive on it. Gray, Lucifer the fucking Morningstar, is the epitome of the villain. He is the most villainous character I have ever met. And he gets. the. fucking. girl. As he should 👏🏼 because they are destined.
He flat out says he’s not jealous, but possessive over what is his. I die. Delicious. He loves her so deeply. I mean it’s literally embedded, carved, scarred into their skin. But fuck. It’s so good. God the way he loves. He would do anything for her to choose him. Except let her go. Like it’s the one thing in his entire, immeasurable existence that he cannot fathom. She is his everything. He marked her, claimed her, waited decades for her. Fuck. She would sacrifice everything she had for the greater good. For the coven. For her people. She would sacrifice herself. And literally no one cares. But he would sacrifice anything for her. Himself included. Because he is nothing without her at his side. I mean seriously this was giving severe Feysand vibes. I said what I said.
The dialogue is just so damn good. Everything was. The way the plot continued was stunning, the magic system, everything. It all came together and finished stunningly. However, as in book one, I wish they were a little bit longer with a tad more detail explaining some things.
“Sin wrapped up in skin,”
“You can choose anything else you want, anything, as long as you choose me,”
“I have given enough. I have lost enough. I am not going to lose you, too.”
"Nothing here has any value without you. You're my home,"
“She made me a god, and her body was my altar.”
