They'd grown up as family, although there were no blood ties between them. Kathryn and Wade had always shared an emotional kinship that grew more intense with each passing year. An affinity that grew into passion...
But because the family's approval was important to them both--and because she was older than Wade--Kathryn had decided to end her relationship with him completely. That was five years ago.
Now, at her family's insistence, Kathryn had come home, with a failed marriage behind her. Despite everything, her love for Wade hadn't changed. How could she survive being close to him again?

Meant for Each Other by Rebecca Winters description
Forbidden love?

I've always had a weakness for forbidden love and the pseudo family trope love story is one my favorites ~_~ no I don't practice that in real life lol. I read this book because one of the good reads user had it in her shelves. The heroine is 30 while the hero is 25 and I'm usually not into older women younger man but the hero is portrayed as being mature and successful (unbelievable but this is HP land!) so I got over it. Heroine was fine with me but at times I wanted to smack her on the head for being so, I don't know, being so worrisome. I do not like the fact that she was a coward and just up and left the hero like that. Thankfully she redeemed herself in the end and got the gumption to go after what she wanted. Hero was also good; I liked that he made something of himself at such a young age and when he knew what he wanted he just did it and he had balls :) I wouldn't say this was a keeper but I would certainly read this book again maybe a few times a year. I don't recall ever reading any other books by this author and initially I was a little disappointed that there wasn't any "super" love scenes of should I say consummation of their love (teehee) the book seemed a bit staid. Before I wrote this review I read a second book of hers and I think she usually doesn't have any consummation love scenes in her book - Like she deliberately doesn't include any premarital lovemaking. My rating for this book was a 3 1/2 stars.
