A very touching story of Dave and Lili Myers life together, and Lili's journey through grief after losing Dave.
As a fan of The Hairy Bikers (Si King and Dave Myers), I have watched their wonderful antics together since the beginning.
I was very sad when the world lost this wonderful gentleman.
To read the story of Dave and Lily's adventures together was joyful. Reading about Lili navigating grief broke my heart, and I sobbed.
When I finished this book I just wanted to give Lili a hug. it's certainly going to stay with me for a long while.

Well that was different and in places (spoiler alert) towards the end very emotional. In fact chapter 12 “Dave Day” brought a tear or two to my eyes. Until that point each chapter is a “tale” about their life together highlighted by an item that Lill, his wife, has found, noted or even remembered.
A well written book about a guy who appeared to be a real fun loving Gent with a capital G!

I loved this heartfelt vulnerable, but beautifully written book. I have loved Dave and Si for years. Watching their food programmes , adventures and love they had for each other has given me calm and space a joy when sometimes my life was falling apart. Reading their books, watching the fun they had togther and even going to see them both live filled me,with joy and helped me forget for a while. Getting to know lili has been just lovely. Hearing her voice and learning who she is. She even took time recently to reach out to me personally with a grief situation I'm finding myself in. I will be forever grateful for that. I would highly recommend this beautiful insightful book to everyone. Especially if you are grieving. This book is hope!
