Dani and Levi Blackburn are out of the frying pan and into the fire as they start to uncover suggestions of a dangerous conspiracy that will lead right back to the foundation of their society and involve every single part of normal life. Can the get to the bottom of it and expose something that will shake society right through to its very core? People start to disappear and if it were not for the help of Milo (Levi's genius brother) and Charmin Marvin the talking cat they would also be missing if not dead by now. Whoever is behind all of this is weaving a complicated cat's cradle and unless they can find a way to expose the cover-up they will be next.
Wow - Dani is definitely coming into her own in this book and without intending to, becomes the main character in sorting some of this all out (even though she still can't use the modern tech that surrounds her). I loved the way the story developed and the ending was very powerful. Well written and easy to understand, it was easy to become addicted as you became desperate to find out what was going to happen next. Does contain a little sexual content but nothing detailed.

Now that the people trying to get Lani are out of the way speak, Lani is trying to rest while Milo works his magic on the computer. They need to know why Lani was targeted so they can get out from under all the crap they've fallen into. When their friend and neighbor Johan reappears having gone missing when the apartments were raided, he's injured and wants to use the unregistered med machine. Lani is sleeping in it so instead he heads up to his apartment to find something he left behind.
A call for help has Levi and Milo running to his aid, leaving Lani and Charming alone in their apartment. When Charming figures out where the guys are he also registers the trouble they're in. Johan has been killed and his apartment is locked down. The guys can't get out.
This is just the beginning as more and more subterfuge comes to light. The people they can trust are few, but they have to get to the bottom of all the corruption.
Suspenseful and action-packed with lots of fun antics from Charming as this series winds down to it's conclusion.

It's all worked out though. With Charming being able to talk...think...and even give them good input. Is Lani a touch jealous her cat is smarter than her, maybe? But they all have to work together as people are being murdered around them and thugs are after Lani. Not much of a honeymoon for the newlyweds. Then again, life has been non-stop since Lani stepped foot into her new reality. Unique stories and characters.

The story continues with more intrigue and mystery, home invasions, bugs and massive computers that are almost virtual. The characters are growing closer than ever despite interruptions and danger from unknown sources. Charming is getting more clever by the minute and more sassy.. But it's Lani in the end who steps up.a few times in this book and starts to find her way in this futuristic world. Loving the twists and turns, the suspense and drama. Started 1/12/21 Finished 2/12/21

A great page turner and full of drama and that and romance.
Charming is a fun character with a great personality. I love
the futuristic story line in this series. Hope there's more
in this series after book #4. Very enjoyable and entertaining.

I love a good sci fi story! Dale Mayer did not disappoint me! These delightful stories follow Dani and her big yellow cat, Charmin Marvin through many adventures. Starting with an unscheduled trip into the future! Dani meets her cheating. lying snake of an ex boyfriends look a like and his crazy brother. Milo is the one who decided she was the perfect candidate for this little trip because she had no life to speak of! Man. did that hurt! But it was pretty much the truth. But she had planned on changing that. Now she wouldn't have a chance as she is forced to find her way 200 years in the future! Poor Charmin hadn't had a chance as he was swept away with her. But can Dani handle the changes in herself and Charmin? She always knew he was finicky an opinionated. but holy cow, she never expected him to TELL her! How could he suddenly start talking?! Did all animals in the future talk? Ugh, she couldn't imagine eating another steak if it talked to her before it became dinner!
Levi knew Milo was a genius. One way ahead of his time. But his experiments always seemed to backfire and land them in hot water! This latest stunt was going to be hard to cover up. A beautiful, sexy blonde was a little hard to sweep under the rug. Not to mention the big furry thing she was clinging to! Milo meant well. he knew Levi needed someone in his life. But Levi was determined not to see how this was a good idea! Dani is perfect for him. But will they be able to work through their differences? Such as she was 200 years older than Levi? Could they escape the notice of the government? As they fight to find out who is after them and why, the danger gets stronger and people around them start to die!

Dale has Broken all of the rules
WOW! This is the third and last (for now) book in the Charmin Marvin series. It is a romantic comedy and it does not disappoint on any levels! There are so many funny parts and quite a few that are flat out hilarious. There were even a few times that I had tears I was laughing so hard! And then there is the romantic side. *dreamy sigh* There is such a sweet romance between Dani & Levi, it is like they were hand-picked for each other! Of course Charmin Marvin only gets smarter and funnier along the way. I loved the creativity in this future world that Dale created along with all of the great new ways to take care of typically boring chores – washing dishes, cleaning the house, doing laundry even cooking! Too bad we can’t have some of those now! LOL I found the ending had such a twist to it that I was surprised and loved it! I loved how Dale ended (for now) this series! Once you have read it you will see what I mean. I don’t want to ruin it for anyone, so I will just leave it at this – this is one fantastic series from a terrific author that has it all from comedy to romance, time-travel to futuristic contraptions and ideas, from a genius to a talking cat! And it even has a HEA! What more could you ask for? Well, beside some more great adventures with Dani, Levi, Milo and Marvin! This is not a series you want to miss out on! Trust me! I loved this one best of all. Dale Mayer is an artist in crafting characters and plots that draw the reader into the story and the lives of the leads. It is especially fascinating that she can create such multidimensional characters in the limited and often limiting space of a novella. As Levi does in the story, Ms. Mayer seems to pull room out of thin air to make space for a complete story.
Tension and danger ratchet up when we discover why it is vital for some unknown group to gain control of Dani. As Dani begins to acclimate to the changes in her life, she is able to make greater contributions to the resolution of the issues that face her new family. I enjoyed seeing her bloom especially given all the changes she has faced in a very short time. She still lags behind Charmin who might surpass everyone if he had fingers instead of paws to work with, but that is hardly slowing him down.
I do have one caveat; the series title identifies it as a comedy series but the humor is a much lighter touch than that implies. For me the lighter, more natural, touch is a greater draw. I enjoy the humorous interchanges and incidences designed to lighten the stress of some really serious scenes. I have to admit that there is something funny about cat potty humor in a futuristic setting.

I was lucky enough to receive a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. I thoroughly enjoyed the read. I just had some unfortunate bad family news and was looking to find something to help me relax and forget for awhile. This book does exactly that. It is the HEA for the series and it provided a satisfying conclusion to a good series. The premise of love across time (time travel), advanced technology, family, loyalty, and the twist of a new political order actually brought a smile to my face (especially the cat, I NEED a talking cat) just when I needed a smile the most. Thank you Dale for giving me a moments rest. Trust me people, it is a fun read that is light hearted and provides a good time. It would have had 5 stars if there was more talking cat. Just saying...

Dale Mayer does it once again. If you haven't read Broken Protocols 1 & 2, I recommend them both! Broken Protocols 3 is the continuation of the story of Dani and her (now) talking cat Charmin Marvin. Dani & Marvin have been pulled into the future by genius Milo Blackburn and his brother, the handsome Levi. After already living through the time travel, the quartet find Dani is being chased, but by whom. Dani is finally truly coming out of her shell, but will she be able to face "The Council"? Although I felt all 3 of these books can be read on a stand alone basis, I would highly recommend reading them all and finding out. I found them to be fun, romantic, comedic, and intriguing. If you want a refreshing good read snag these books!

Book 3 of the Broken Protocols series shows us Dani attempting to get back to normal... except her new 'normal' is anything but. After the action and drama she was recently subjected to, perhaps she can finally get to learning about this new time she's landed in and settle into her new life. BP3 starts out just where BP2 ended, not missing a beat and it does give a glimpse into the trouble that got her here but I highly recommend reading this series in order - so far it's been full of fast, fun reads. Laced with inside jokes from its predecessors and some lingering danger make for another great read. I read this in what seemed like mere minutes as it flew by and I could not put it down. This series is a reminder that no matter how much the world around us changes, perhaps we do not.

I just loved this series. It's kinda quirky but a cute read.
It has a little bit of everything....romance, mystery, intrigue, suspense, humor. You can't go wrong with that.
This is book 3 and is NOT a stand alone read. You must read book 1 and 2 to understand what is going on in book 3.
These are short reads but worth it. It gives you a peek into what the future could actually be like.
This book ended on a positive note, so I don't know if there will be any more, but if there are, I'll be one of the first in line to read them too. If you want heart pounding, pantie melting, steamy romance, this is not it. But if you want a cute read with some humor, this could be the series for you.

Picking up right where the second book ended, this book concludes the story about Levi and Dani. When I started the first book I didn't think I would like it just based on reading the summary. I was happy to be proved wrong as I continued to read and move onto the other 2 books. I love the Psychic Visions series by this author and the Charmin Marvin Romantic Comedy Series did not let me down either. I look forward to reading anything else Dale Mayer publishes.

A thoroughly satisfying conclusion to the charming trilogy of time-travel/romance novellas. Dani and Levi solved the complex mystery with a little help from Milo and one highly intelligent, talking cat. Of course, I wouldn't mind reading more about Dani's adventures in the future, if the author chooses to write more. Hint, hint:-)

Very quick, fast paced read. This book had a bit of everything: action, death, humor, mystery ,romance ,and of course Charmin. I could not imagine being put into the future and not be able to understand everything around me especially the technology. I'm so glad he has Levi and Milo, they are helping her adapt and Levi is loving her so life is getting better and of course Charmin is hungry.

You all have to read this series. It is great! A futuristic story, with crime, corruption, romance, murder and…a talking cat!! I really enjoyed reading this series. The author draws you right in to every detail going on in this book. There’s a lot of different things happening in this series! I recommend it definitely.

love love this series. I think this one is the best. The characters are well defined and I felt myself whisked to the future.
