This is a Love Inspired romantic suspense featuring two short stories, one by Lynette Eason and one by Lenora Worth.
Lynette Eason’s had an exciting start with a woman getting run off the road and almost getting kidnapped. It goes from there with law enforcement trying to find out who is trying to kidnap the woman. Of course there is romance and a sweet police dog.
I thought the story was good for being so short.
The narrator was monotone and made it difficult to engage with the story.
Lenora Worth’s story was slow and hard to get into. The narrator was also monotone and I found myself losing interest and zoning out.
I wish there was more Christmas content present in both stories. I could barely tell these were set during the holidays.
I think this would be better read physically.

Both of these inspirational suspense novels were fantastic! I loved the balance of action and Christmas romance! The narrators did a wonderful job bringing these stories to life!

Christmas K-9 Patrol is made up of two novellas: Deadly Christmas Trap by Lynette Eason and Dangerous Holiday Manhunt by Leonora Worth. These are both Christian stories and there is mention of faith, trusting God and asking God for guidance in both stories. Although the stories in the book are set around Christmas, there isn't really a holiday vibe in them. The second ones ends with a Christmas celebration, but otherwise, it is a winter storm setting. I enjoyed both novellas and hope to read more in the Dakota K-9 Unit series.
In Deadly Christmas Trap, tech analyst Cheyenne Chen has a bounty on her head. Not once, but three times, someone comes after her. Friend and co-worker, officer Jack Donadio and his K-9 partner try to keep her safe while tracking down whoever it was that put the bounty on her. Once she figures out who it is, they still need to find and arrest him in order to keep her safe. The story starts off with a bang and doesn't let up until the end. I liked both characters and how they worked together. They were already friends with a bit of chemistry, so that romantic suspense angle wasn't a surprise. I liked that it was not a big part of the story, but evident at the end. The story held my attention from star to finish. The narration by Cindy Kay was okay, and I enjoyed the audiobook, but it was not outstanding.
In Dangerous Holiday Manhunt, US Marshal Lorelai Danvers is hunting for a fugitive who escaped custory after killing a man. She tracks him to Drake Corbin's ranch, and he eventually invites her in. We find out that he is Drake's brother-in-law, but there is no love lost between the two men and he is there to kill Drake. He knows the area, so is hard to track down, but a snowstorm makes things worse, and Lorelai is trapped without the ability to get help to come. She will have to trust Drake to help her, and hope he doesn't take matters into his own hands. This story was a bit slower than the previous one, but I thought it was more suspenseful and even had a couple of twists along the way. Drake has a huge secret, which is why the fugitive in there, but there is a twist that I didn't see coming. Drake takes responsibility for Lorelai and his sister that lives with him. There is some shooting, things blowing up and fires, during the hunt, but will Lorelai and Drake survive? There is chemistry between Drake and Lorelai, but once again, I'm glad the romance is a very small part of the story and basically doesn't come into the story until after the situation is resolved. This story is narrated by Callie Beaulieu, and although she gives voice to the various characters, there is something about her voice that grates on me a little.

This is two Romantic Suspense books, and this is part of the Dakota K-9 Unit series. I have read some of the other books in this series before picking up this book. I read this book by listening to the audiobook for this book, and I really enjoyed this audiobook. I loved the characters in these books. I really got pulled into the stories and the characters so much I did not want to put this audiobook down. I loved the action and suspense in these stories, and I also loved the romance in this book. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

Christmas K-9 Patrol gives readers novellas from two great authors - Lynette Eason and Lenora Worth. In Deadly Christmas Trap, Lynette brings readers a cold case in the cold of winter. Cheyenne Chen uncovers a deadly secret in the woods, and Jack Donadio steps in to protect her. In Dangerous Holiday Manhunt, US Marshal Lorelai Danvers gets stranded in a snowstorm while on an investigation and winds up in a manhunt with Drake Corbin. Someone is on his ranch and wants him dead.
Both stories are action-packed and full of danger, drama, and romance. I've not read anything by Lenora Worth, and love that her hero is a little bit older. But she really knows how to bring the drama! And Lynette's stories never fail to entertain and keep you guessing who the bad guy is until the very end. If you need bingeable reads this holiday season, definitely check out Christmas K-9 Patrol.

Though short, it was a well developed, action packed story where friends are foes and time is against them, and the characters are also well develoed. Something few authors can manage in a novella.

In these two loosely connected novellas, sparks and bullets fly when law enforcement find their perp--and love--with their K9 wingmen partners.
The first, Deadly Christmas Trap, follows tech analyst Cheyenne Chen after someone put a bounty on her. Officer Jack Donatio has feelings for Cheyenne but he's closed himself off from love after an on-the-job shooting leaves him with the possibility of losing his leg.
The story is pretty straightforward as there isn't room for a lot of twists. I did enjoy this one more as it was fast paced and Cheyenne and Jack complimented each other as love interests. Jack's K9 partner can sniff out electronic devices, which I found pretty cool.
In Dangerous Holiday Manhunt, US Marshal Lorelai Danvers tracked her man to Drake Corbin's ranch. A blizzard quickly traps them and Corbin has his own history with the fugitive that might prove deadly.
This story was okay but I wasn't a fan of Corbin's "My ranch my rules" and his protective instinct of Lorelai. Sir, she is a US Marshal. This is literally her job. I'm all for the H/h protecting each other but it rubbed me the wrong way when he wouldn't let her do her job because she's a woman to protect. I did enjoy her K9 partner, though!
The narrators for both did were excellent and kept me in the story. These were standalone so I could follow the story but there is references to previous events and I am interested enough I will check those out.

Deadly Christmas Trap is fast paced and well written. I really enjoyed the main characters and their romance seemed to flow nicely as a background treat to the suspense story. I liked that Jack's K-9 partner's skill is to sniff out electronic devices because that is not the skill you usually see in one of these kinds of novels. I enjoyed the storyline and the way that it played out in a novella. The author really used the space she had to give us everything we want to see in this kind of suspense story.
I would enjoy seeing these characters in another story in the future as well. I think they would fit in nicely as part of a team.
I also enjoyed the narrator. I felt that she tailored her voice to a suspense story and I really appreciated that with this one. She did the suspense justice and I enjoyed listening to her.

This is actually a 2 book in one book. It combines Lynette Eason’s Deadly Christmas Trap and Lenora Worth’s a Dangerous Holiday Manhunt.
Deadly Christmas Trap
Cheyenne Chen’s life is in danger some one has sent bounty hunters after her, but why, is it a case of mistaken identity? This sends Cheyenne, Officer Donadio and his K9 partner running. However, it is interesting how being thrown into a dangerous situation to bring their whole back history to light while running for their lives and figuring out who was doing this.
This is the wonderful, clean, action packed, fast paced kind of story that will drag you into getting the rest of the series, oh and throw in a K9 and I am there. I appreciate the authors learning all about K9’s it makes it easier to read. This really is a wonderful audio and the narrator is amazing.

Loreali Danvers and her K9 partner are tracking a convict when a sudden blizzard comes up and traps her in the big ranch house of Drake Corbin a cantankerous gentleman, and his sister. Lorelai soon finds out why the convict came to this area and Corbin makes no secret of the fact if he gets the chance he will just kill him.
Another great K9 mystery. This to is fast paced and action packed. The characters are well conceived and mesh together really well. The narrator is awesome and brings the story alive. I can’t wait for more.

Absolutely LOVED this composite volume of two Christmas suspense novellas. Lynette Eason's "Deadly Christmas Trap", a bounty is put on tech analyst Cheyenne Chen's life, but she has no idea why - and finds herself on the run while trying to figure out who is behind the sinister plot to kill her. With the help of fellow agent Jack Donadio and his canine partner, they sift through ideas while trying to stay one step ahead of the bounty hunters. Riveting suspense and the fast pace kept me up way too late!

Christmas Canine Patrol by Lynette Eason and Lenora Worth is double dose of great romantic suspense stories. Each story explores themes of forgiveness, second chances, and trust. I love the dogs in each story, including the way other dogs from the canine unit are mentioned. Cheyenne finds herself in a truly unique situation no one can ever really plan for, and Jack is right there to offer support and assistance. I loved the honesty they were both to embrace, even it was a drastic situation that brought them to the point of readiness. Lorelai is an intelligent and very capable US Marshall who ends up on Drake’s ranch during a snowstorm. Never mind that there is a killer on the hunt, they are both stubborn enough to wait him out and corner him. I appreciate each of their fierce protectiveness, even if for different reasons. I found the narration done well for both stories and enjoyed the festive, inspirational suspense.

Really enjoyed these two Christmastime novellas! They were full of suspense and romance and wonderful K9 dogs! In Deadly Christmas Trap, the Dakota K9 Unit is once again under attack. I love the suspense.and the fact you have 2 strong willed people. But Rena is the real hero. Keeping her secret to keep family safe and dealing with rape and then finally shooting her rapist in the end and all the loss she had to deal with.
