I only wanted to hide for a minute, honestly. I didn’t mean to get stuck in the guest berth and fall asleep and now we’re somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean and – actually that’s a cool way to avoid another confrontation with my father. So, I might have been a little economical with the truth when I explained the trouble I was in.
But now I’m in even more trouble. This guy, calls himself Damir, is giving me mafia vibes (but probably I’ve just been reading too many books). He’s hotter than all get-out, used to being in charge and I can’t help provoking him to anger – and yeah, some other stuff. Is it bad if we kiss? More?
Then it turns out he does have a connection to my dad and nobody’s going to like that I’m here.
Damir
I cannot deal with a stowaway right now. I need peace and quiet and the open water to unpack some of the worst months of my life and work out what I’m going to do now. But Giovanna, she’s got a wild tongue and a reckless spirit and every time she opens her mouth I want to kiss her. But she’s running from something and she won’t accept my help.
Out here alone on the water, it’s hard to resist what she does to me. But then I find out who she really is and the impossible position she’s put me in.
Help! How can I get rid of her before she turns my life upside down? Or is that what I secretly want?

After leaving Australia ‘for a year’, Leonie never went home and now travels across Europe jotting down love stories wherever she goes. She has a degree in languages and is an expert at taking public transport and travelling under her own steam on foot or by bike. ‘Home’ is now in central Germany, in the vineyards along the Main river, where she spends her time writing happy endings in English and speaking German with bad grammar.
This was a cute Rom-Com story to read. In a fit of temper Giovanna leaves her father's (Roberto) yacht and stomps down the pier. She hears someone approaching and sneaks inside another yacht to hide. Then Damir the owner boards needing to chill after a bad meeting with Roberto. Giovanna hides in the quest room planning to escape later but she falls asleep. In the morning, she awakes and discovers they're at sea. This was a very entertaining story that kept me engaged. Loved the characters, they jelled well: Giovanna is struggling to find her purpose in life and Damir is out of a scandalous relationship that hurt his business. Will they overcome now they're stuck together? I'd volunteer to read and review this enjoyable copy I received via Goodreads.
Giovanna and Damir are unwittingly trapped on a yacht off the coast of Portugal and Morocco, both trying to escape their lives and now finding each other. You’re in for some FUN if you pick this novella up! It’s a perfect snack-length book, but doesn’t skimp on character development or anything else. I felt like I knew who these people were, and loved the way they grew together in a short, eventful time. Loved the chemistry, loved the tropes, just loved everything about it!
This novella honestly felt like it was a lot longer, in the best way! The way it pulled you into the rollercoaster of emotions, revelations, and inner struggles of both main characters, it just gave me tons of feels. Not an overly spicey read (but definitely not a closed door book!), IMO, this unlikey whirlwind romance had me laughing, turned on, heart aching, and just enjoying every single page of these characters' journies. If you enjoy rom-coms, forced proximity, opposites attract, and/or hidden identities, I Definitey reccomend this novella 😉

This is a short story freebie from the author's Substack page. It's a fun, forced proximity romance. One fun thing is that you can choose if you want to read the spice version or the not so spicy version of the story! I chose the spicy version. A billionaire's secret daughter hides on board a yacht and finds herself in the middle of the ocean with a grumpy sailor!
What happens when two people are stuck together not by choice but later struggle to acknowledge they don't want to let go? The premise might seem a little cliche yet the story feels so enjoyable. This is a perfect rom-com for anyone looking to uplift their spirits. Happy all the way and extremely hard to put down. Highly recommended!
This is the first story I have read by this writer and I absolutely loved it. A great storyline with adorable grumpy/sunshine characters, I found it different and I was hooked from the start and read it all in one go, cannot wait to read lore by this author
What looked to be an interesting "mafia" romance for the first few chapters turned out to just be a rich sports player who was getting cut from the MC's dad's team. Kinda fell flat when it was built up to be so much more.

Two lost and rejected souls that end up together. Him sailing away from his troubles with her as a stowaway on his yacht but he doesn't know it until 2 hours out to sea. Both learn to trust and learn to adapt to their different personalities.
I really like this author, and this book showed a lot of promise. Unfortunately, it wrapped rather quickly with some explicit sex. That is unusual for this author, and it felt a bit cheap.
Wow! Every guy should be so lucky. I loved these characters and the spice between them was awesome. A fun romantic read with a lot of depth for such a short story.
