This book wasn’t hitting the same like the first one. Halo was extremely annoying for no reason. No matter how angry you are with your man never keep things away from him when his wellbeing is in danger. She did that twice!!! I don’t like the twin trope and I wished there was a pov from Bronx I felt like it was one sided. Also when did Knox and Bronx become cordial after he found out that his twin knew his momma wasn’t his? It’s just missing parts that’s not making sense. Overall to me it was a 2.5 hopefully the next book is a little better

Book 2 was so disappointing, I felt this was too long and unnecessary. The author just started typing words on a page. The plot started going everywhere.

Seems like the writer added every "shocking turns of events" that didn't make sense. And that fact that she didn't elaborate more on the cliffhanger from book 1. Like she just rushed passed it than 50 million other things happened then came back to it like with a paragraph every couple of chapters

This story has lots of twists and turns but not much is adding to the story. It feels like things are dragging along. For instance there is excessive descriptions about what is going on but little to no description about what people look like. Then the other things. Things like.....why don't people acknowledge Kenneth as the mayor? How do you make a civilian your confidential informant without them trying to work off a charge of something. Elsa is harassing Monica and for what? Dead storyline. Bronx was introduced at the end of book one but the story goes NO WHERE. Ok he's A killer...so? Why didn't we learn more about him? Why not move his and Krissy's storyline along......dragging. Fatima, Kenneth, and Karlie.....dragging.

We literally got a whole bunch of *imma just sprinkle some shit in* like I’m so confused ion even know what had happened fr 😭… I read book 2 cause book 1 was good asf I ain’t gonna lie I finished in a few hours but this one idk.. I was aggravated the whole book everybody was acting like kids and it wasn’t giving. Then the end of the book boom we sprinkled the “dead” baby daddy in there 😩 this is giving 2.5 stars fr and it hurts my heart cause I loved book 1 so bad… I’m on the fence on whether I’m gonna read book 3

So neither of these grown fine successful men...who looked so identical that their girlfriends didn't even know the difference...thought it was weird that they had TWO different mothers?!?!? It would be different if they were long lost boys who met and just happen to look alike... but nope. They knew they were identical twins and were raised as such. Smh.
Then everybody in the book fertile af. I'm willing to bet Jokers moma is next. Especially after what she walked in on. I guess we'll see what happens in the next book. I bet ole boy off the bus gonna be somebody's twin as well. Maybe Dough boys.

THAT ENDING 😡😡!!!! WAIT!!!! Omg, I was NOT ready!!
Can we talk about Joker & now Bronx! Who would’ve thought, I know I didn’t! How do you date someone but NEVER tell them you had a twin, but have to come clean when best friends thought they were dating the same man - 🫣🫣 But the truth that surfaced had me speechless. To find out that who you thought was your mother, was NOT your mother is beyond me! Like it really to a tragedy for the true to surface. Then to find out everyone knew but you, left me without words. Like how does someone react or respond to that!
Let get on how Halo was standing on business and was will to raise your new bundle alone. My girl was not playing and I was on board with her cause my ninja you got me mess up! However, he was not letting up! My guy tried his hardest to get her back the nice way, but when that kept failing he said I’m done being nice and went straight hood with it! Now look my girl wasn’t a fool and said ok daddy 🤣🤣 and got back with her man! The joyous part of it all was that they going out that we’re having TWINS, that some had my girl like, I’m not doing this alone lol! And let’s discuss how Joker is coming behind Halo son Brave! I was in tears 😭 when he presented them adoption papers and when Brave said his wish came true! That’s right there sealed the deal of being TEAM JOKER! Unhinged and all - lol! But that ending may cause so odor that I’m NOT ready for.

When I say my heart is heavy it was heavy! For Halo it didn’t matter as that was her mom and she was going to do whatever she needed to do and I love it as I would do the same thing!

Before anything could happen to him, he let it be known to Joker that his camp is not as loyal as he thought! Giving this book 3 stars is me being nice. This book is no different from any other thug/drug dealing unhinged male character book.
First I want to say I don’t like how Joker treats Dough like a runner boy instead of his partner / best friend. & Dough do everything with no complaints or malice. Shout out to him for being loyal as heck.
Joker has so much going on but he has time to coach little league football??? 5 days a week for some hours?? Be frrrr. What thug doing that??? Also if he owns a football stadium, Joker should be very well known around his city??!?!!? Ain’t no way he moving how he is and owning a football stadium?????
How you the Mayor but your movements not being watched??? That man moves like he a regular degular. How everything he got going on not being caught by paparazzi?? Why his family not on the news etccc?? If Karli & Bronx were his chosen family that means that they should be very known. How Bronx a killer & the mayors son who should be known all around the city???
Before Joker at least Halo had a job and making her own but after him it’s like she has no sense of independence??? In terms of she knows what happen when she was with Eno and then he died and left her nothing so why she’s not trying her hardest to find a job to or start a business or something to have her own money so that if anything happened to Joker she would be able to keep up the life style he has her in??!!! I need to know she’s doing something that would have her set of anything happened to joker. Life insurance, putting money away etccc
I hate when the author drops a bomb and then move on to the next chapter and days/weeks pass & basically over look the bomb that she just drop. For example at the end of one chapter someone faints and the next chapter weeks passed and we don’t read nothing about the person fainting until the end of the chapter and the person is ok like wtfff ???
Also the author has a bad habit of over describing / explaining the most random of things that don’t need to be described.
But she’s quick to skip over important stuff.. joker didn’t properly have a convo with Fatima about the whole surrogate situation ??? The whole twin thing with Bronx & Joker didn’t properly get explained. & how Halo don’t know what her man looks like??? I doubt they got the same tats. That part pissed me off, twins or not.
I really wanted Monica to love herself. The girls like her in every book always go crazy over the MMC and it’s always pisses me off. Like why they have to go out like that? Why they can’t ever pick themselves and move on. It’s rare when I read a book and the Monica character knows her worth & move on. I was rooting for her but then she got with Dough & then the whole CI thing ???!?? Ugh

OMG now Taniece you made me smile when it was discovered that Crissy and Halo were not dating the same person. Jai didn't know how to cut his losses and just move on but unfortunately because of his obsession so many got caught up. Happy Halo took her mother's advice and made up with Joker; it was too funny when she stabbed him it's what he gets because you can't be playing with an hormonal pregnant female especially when all you have been saying is you want her back, at least she took him to be treated then dropped him back home😅😅.
I sort of figured that the twins egg donor had something to do with Fatima getting hit, but like Kenneth said she didn't have to stay around she could have left long ago but who would have known that once he decided to leave her his other secret would be revealed and its like WOW are you serious!!
So now in this next book more secrets uncovered, I'm curious to know what will Dough do about Monica she knew she.messed up when she stepped into that station just because the man kept it real with her, he didn't want her the way she wanted him now she's finally getting a part of what she yearned for only to be looking over her shoulder thinking what's gonna happen now, she should have kept her feelings out of her situation, too funny can't wait for part 3.

Does nobody use condoms in these books?
Um, in my non expert opinion this book seems like a filler. There’s so much introduced in book 2 vs ending with a 2 book series.
I still don’t like Halo, she’s an opp. I was waiting on Dough to do some opp 💩 too.
I can’t wrap my head around why Halo was even mad. We knew he didn’t have a 9-5. He wasn’t a finance bro & we saw how he moved. She knew he was in the streets. & even if somehow she didn’t she clearly wasn’t made enough to give him back everything he bought with his money from the streets.
Kinda side eying Fatima too. Fren, you know better. Like he left you with HIS CHILD not yours & still left you to suffer but you out here servicing him. Swear he didn’t have to pull up on her that last time though. I felt that one in my chest for her.
Idk Bronx… seems like busy work. I don’t see the importance of his character.
& he told Krissy what he did for a living & she was okay with it… until she wasn’t. I genuinely don’t understand the logic.
Back to Halo she’s selfish and annoying. Joker should have played her game and let her go.
I don’t get how she lands him a trip to the hospital THEN STILL CONTINUES TO IGNORE HIM.

Crazy in Love: Joker Edition
Listen, Joker having a twin just took crazy to a whole new level — and baby, Monica and Dough? That plot twist came outta nowhere and had me clutching my Kindle. I swear, Joker’s antics had me weak the whole time. Who steals a woman’s tires and transmission just to make her talk to him? Nah, that’s unhinged but funny as hell. Then releasing roaches? Oh, he’s certified. Holding Halo hostage was the perfect sprinkle of insanity — he really living up to his name.
Now Bronx being the “chosen” twin don’t sit right with me. It’s giving hidden jealousy, like he got something deeper brewing against Joker. Jah finally got what was coming, but Monica’s time ticking, and I just hope Dough the one to punch her ticket.
Joker really stepped up, though. He’s wild, but he stand on business when it come to Halo. Still, something lurking — that man can’t have peace for long. And Fatima? Whew, she didn’t deserve that heartbreak. Kenneth did the ultimate lowdown move. Bronx moving funny too; he better chill before he ends up next.

Joker and Halo? Whew. The tension, the passion, the mess?? I was locked in from the very beginning. Joker is still that same bold, reckless, “I said what I said” kind of man—and I can’t even lie, I love that for him. But this time around, we really got to see more of what was going on behind that tough exterior. And it made me love him even more.
Halo held her own, too! She’s grown, she’s fierce, and she’s not letting anyone play with her heart again. I loved seeing her speak up more and demand the kind of love she deserved. But I will keep it a bean and let ya know that she annoyed me at a few parts LOL
Now let’s talk about the DRAMA. Every time I thought things were about to settle down, Taniece threw another twist in there like, “Oh, you thought?” 😂 And don’t even get me started on the side characters stirring up chaos—because some people really needed to mind their business!
This book had me yelling, smiling, and side-eying the characters like I was right there in the room with them. I don’t know how many more curveballs Taniece has up her sleeve, but I’m absolutely here for it.

I was not expecting that ending at all!!! I can’t wait to hear his excuse in where he has been and why he ain’t tell her he was alive Eno tsk tsk. I hope she don’t be trying to act all confused now that fool back cause Joker will be done took him out too lol he is not to be played with. Oh and Kenneth lol nasty ass in there with his security guard that ish blew my mind like you gay no wonder you don’t like ya wife and you been playing games with Fatima you don’t like them fr. Joker gone take him out too for playing wit his mama emotions smh. And idk how Katie or whatever her name is ain’t know he was sleeping with a man she seem to know everything and everyone else he doing smh this was so good but I can’t wait to find out what Joker and his right hand man do about his old jump off when they find out she a CI it’s gone be a lot to unpack in this next book all the tea was dropping in this one!!!!

Ok, so now my confused!!
So with everything going on and Halo being pregnant, Krissy being pregnant AND Monica ending up pregnant, there's still drama?! So Monica had FINALLY realized Joker didn't want her only for her to go to his best friend and now that Elsa is messing with her I wonder how that situation will play out on her part in everything. Krissy is with Bronx but now not with him and finding out she's pregnant!! I hope Mrs. C does get better but the chances aren't looking too good. That date was magical for Halo only now for her moment to be disrupted in the craziest way possible!! But I wonder how did he know she was there?! Everything is up in the air and I can't wait until it comes into place because it's crazy and I hope that doesn't make Halo doubt everything her and Joker has built.

Joker is wild. I just want to throw out there that I guessed correctly with the whole Halo and Krissy dating Knox thing. All of the characters got on my nerves at some point. Especially Knox, BUT that man love him some Halo - there is no denying that. I love that he loves her as much as he does, he just needs to do a better job at not sabotaging Halo’s things to get her to talk/be with him lmao. The tires AND transmission, the roaches, it was wild lmao. I hope I never offend a man like Joker, I don’t want to end up like Drake lmao. Joker making him dance in his draws had me cracking up! And the last 3 or 4 chapters? Cliffhanger after cliffhanger. I don’t want to wait for book 3! But I absolutely appreciate Taniece picking up book 2 right where book 1 left off! Thank youuuuu! lol

Halo was kinda irking my nerves but it was kinda funny when she showed Jocker what happens when you play in her face. I don't know how to feel about Dough. Taniece has done it again. Pulled me in to a great read. This will have you turning page after page to see how loose ends from the first book are tied up. Only to be met with more loose ends. Will part 3 be our finale?
A lot of this read like a juicy drama. It was messy, it was unputdownable. I actually became happy for Monica, I know shocking, but now … we will wait and see how this goes. I knew it was Karlie all along. SMH 🤦🏾♀️. And how this ends!! I’m not ready.

Good but..
I’m enjoying the storyline and the characters. The cliffhanger ending of each chapter is giving me a headache. Specially when you don’t get the answers from what happened. Constantly skipping days or weeks into the next chapter to confusing as well. Certain parts have so much detail that I felt was unnecessary when other parts needed more details. They were a few scenes that felt duplicated. Let’s see how this story ends.

Its okay
I enjoyed the first book. This one seems drawn out. I’m not really A fan of the writing in regards to every step and detail needing to be explained. For example if someone was going somewhere(I got in the car, started the engine, checked my mirrors before pulling out of the driveway). It’s just not my cup of tea but I am sure it is someone’s. Over all the plot was great.

Joker and Halo had so many ups and downs, but they were able to overcome them.them. knew he had to be a twin, bit how they became separated, now Taniece you did that I wasn't expecting that but baby what a nice twist. Krissy needed to get it. together, Bronx told her what it was.

Why Three Books?
I had to make myself finish this book. I don’t understand why this is a three book series because everything could have been wrapped up in this book. I never like Bronx and Kris together. I’m not surprised by Kenneth because so many men are down low these days. I guess book three going to be about Eno coming back from being unalived. I trying to hang in there because the book place is in my home state Alabama since I’m from Mobile.

I hate these cliff hangers and I only read these books because it said 2 of 2. Now I will probably never know what happened because I will probably not read the 3rd book. I mean the books was good but it takes away from it when you have one cliffhanger after another without letting us know.

That ending!
This was a great sequel! I love all these characters, especially Joker with his crazy self. Fatima and Kenneth were entertaining. I would have liked to see more of Bronx. I can't wait for the next book cause I want to see what happens to Monica and how Halo is going to handle her fate.
