A terrible truth.
A grim new world.
A glimmer of hope?

Things have gone from bad to seriously worse. I’ve learned dark things about myself, these sour truths breaking my heart into a million pieces.

I've lost everything.

Trapped inside a hellish new reality, I sink into sorrow, struggling to comprehend a hopeless future.
But there is a chance to make things right. A kernel of hope flickering in the distance, there for taking if I can just muster the strength to reach for it and free myself from this nightmare.

No what matter, I can't give up. The world is in danger, and I don't want to see it fall.

I have to be strong for my beautiful Asher.
I have to see my brother again.

The final book in the series, and it was a mixed bag for me. I wanted more drama, and the usual intensity that plays out with this author's books.
A twist has occurred, Finn is back! Where does that leave Luke? Well, in a strange place! We get a lot of Luke's emotional baggage in this installment. His feelings of lack of worth, the drama that pushed him into feeling this way. The story alternates between Luke struggling to find himself and the man he loves fighting to protect Finn and struggling with his own feelings towards Luke.
I didn't mind the back and forth POV, I just felt the story got bogged down with Luke's internal mental issues. Once we get through all of that, the story picks back up and ends with a decent ending, but it needed a touch more flare for my liking.

Stone Ascension is the third and final book in the Gargoyle Marked series. In my opinion this series should be read in order as it has a continuing story arc. We are back with Luke and Asher to finish this epic series. I loved this whole series and this final book is no exception. I loved the characters and world building that went into the story. This is a rollercoaster ride filled with snark, action, and emotion done by Richard Amos as only he can do. I would definitely recommend this book and series as 5 star reads.

I have been anticipating this one and it did not disappoint. I have loved Luke and Asher since the start. They have amazing banter which has drawn me in from the very beginning. I love their interactions so much. And Luke has been trying so hard to save his brother Finn from the dark magic which definitely broke my heart at times. This is intense with lots of action. It’s a great ending to a fantastic series.

I can’t believe that we are at the final book in this series, but I know everything must end even if I don’t want them to. In this series-ender, Finn has appeared, and Luke has disappeared, and no one knows what’s going on. There are some interesting twists to this one, quite a bit I didn’t see coming. However, even with these twists, I thought this book was a fitting and wonderful ending to the series. Fans of the series will definitely love the windup of this one. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

The final book of the series was an absolute blast. It can't be read as a standalone, so start with book 1. I have always been fascinated by gargoyles. It started many years ago when I first saw them on the towers of Notre Dame de Paris. And it has never ended. But those creatures, though incredible, are so different from the ones described in the book. Courageous knights fighting the evil... and Asher.... so sexy, with his heart of gold and a mountain of steely muscles... I fell in love with Luke and Asher in book one. And continued falling untill the end. My heart broke so many times throughout the series. In this final book, even more so. There is so much going on , one challenge after another, danger is following our guys every step of the way. And the twist at the end...I loved it.
It's such a well-crafted, unique world described skillfully, every small detail of it. Monsters were just incredible. What an imagination!
When you read a lot, you can often predict the outcome...so not the case this time. I can assure the readers that they are guaranteed a surprising treat at the end of the story.
Definitely recommend the book. It will be an enjoyable and gripping read from the first to the last page.

Another Richard Amos Grand Grand Finale!

This entire series is absolutely epic. This third and final installment is a testament to Richard Amos's ability to provide horror, adventure, great world building and snark. Always lots of snark. Throughout this series we have seen Luke desperately trying to find and save his brother Finn, who has been lost to the evil magic in their post-apocalyptic world. Luke also falls in love with his guardian - a gargoyle shifter named Asher. By the time we're in this story, Luke and Asher are separated and threatened on a continual basis. In true Amos form every.single.page. is an adventure. There is zero extraneous filler with his writing. The author expertly takes through adventures spanning panexistential timelines. (Is panexistential even a word? Well, if not, then it is now). This story accelerates towards an ending that'll make you feel like you were yanked through a blender. Seriously - there times when I wanted to hurl a can of salmon paste at somebody.
NOT a standalone - gotta read the entire series. Do it. You won't regret it for one moment.

Stone Ascension by Richard Amos is book three in the Gargoyle Marked Series. I was eagerly awaiting this book because I’ve been invested in Luke and Asher’s story. This is the final book in the series and they must be read in order. My favorite element in this series has been the banter. It's just so good and not just that but the characters themselves. My most enjoyable part of it all was Luke’s little quirks and most of all was Asher’s feelings towards him. I will say this book took me on such an emotional rollercoaster reading them go through such pain and turmoil to reach their happily ever after. The writing in this book was great and I loved how the author made everything their own with gargoyles and humans. I was on the edge of my seat with all the twists and turns and was truly surprised at some of the things that happened in this story. Everything was very well done and I can’t believe it’s over. I’m looking forward to see what’s next for this author. Would definitely recommend if you’re a fan of paranormal romances that have mystery, intrigue, mayhem and magic. Two thumbs up!

Can A Gargoyle and A Human Love ❤️

I think we all know by now the answer is yes! This book was a blast to read. I loved it. The endings were awesome. And filled all the blanks that were necessary.
So, one last book! 📖
Mr. Amos sure knows how to do endings.!
This one is no different!
I know things come to an end, but that doesn’t mean we have to like them! You know, that book that just lingers? You just can’t get it out of your head? Well, this series has had that from the beginning.

So this is a wrap up for Asher, Luke and everyone else we’ve come to know through this series.
Because this is the third book, and this is not a standalone, we’re all pretty aware of the story.
But as you know, normally, love wins.
At least it usually does.
I’m sure Mr. Amos is not saying goodbye for long! We’ll just have to put the characters aside and remember we loved them and move on to his next big book!
Although I often do, Hope that they will bring them back for a holiday book! But when you’ve got so many books that people love, it may be kind of hard.
Absolutely love the book, and the wrap ups he did you can’t wait for the next book that he’s going to write. 🖊️ 📑 📖

Stone Ascension - Love and Future and Hope

‘Green light blinked below me. On me. I looked down, finding the rock buried in the center of my chest. Jagged, pushing the skin around it into a strange, unbroken ridge. The emerald blinked gently. A sharp intake of breath made my vision swim. Pain pulsed in my skull, everything was getting too much to handle again. “The ascension is upon us,” the voice spoke again. “If you want it.”

Luke and Asher’s romantic adventure continues in Richard Amos’ book 3, Stone Ascension, of the Gargoyle Marked series.

Richard once again brings heat, for both the heart and soul, with Luke’s wild hybrid change, while Asher continues to feel displaced without Luke by his side. Finn plays a pivotal role as Luke’s tormented brother, and trying to undo or reverse all of the horrible acts of the terrors becomes the main focus in this final book in the series.

I truly enjoy my time spent reading any of Richard’s stories, but especially found Luke and Asher’s bonded strength appealing and additional characters became so very important in the conclusion to this magical tale!

Luke and Asher’s story comes to a satisfying conclusion in this third and final book in the series. The author puts them through a lot, and several cliffhangers along the way, and their HEA is very well deserved, although isn’t without a price.

I love the well-thought out imaginative worlds this author creates especially those, like this one, which has echoes of our world, but isn’t. I enjoyed the mix of magically enhanced humans, gargoyles, and motes, and the twists along the way.

Luke and Asher’s love is put to the test, big time, but never falters, despite the intervention of assorted nasties along the way. I like how their world is pulled out from under them several times, and that their fight to be together isn’t easy.

I liked the supporting cast, and getting to know Finn. The brothers’ relationship in one of the strengths of the story, in which friendship plays a huge part as does second chances. The action/drama is tense and well-written, and I loved the huge twist complete with the voice of a famous actress!

“Stone Ascension” the final story of the “Gargoyle Marked” series is coming to a close poor Luke Garland whose life was about whipping up cocktails, turning invisible and his love for Asher. Would Asher forgive him for stealing his brother’s destiny? He is trying to make it right. However, everything he sees looks worse. He is given a Rock guide with an emerald in the center to help him. Will Luke be able to survive the different tests, will his brother Finn who is now back and alive be able to take down Ember? As Asher, Finn, Carissa, Maren and others work on getting Ember, finding out about the mote spirit and the humans they are trying to get information out but they keep biting into cyanide capsules. And with no information on Seth, Luna or Billy and of course King Lawrence is still in hiding. The surprises just keep on coming, don’t think you are going to be able to guess that there is a paradigm because you won’t be able to. Do read this story you won’t be disappointed.

This is final book of the Gargoyle Marked Series, and should be read after the first two books in the series.

Book three picks up where book two left off with Luke and Asher separated. While Luke struggles to come to terms with his own guilt regarding Finn he must work to face his own trials to reunite with his brother and Asher. Finn now free and working with Asher and team to put an end to Ember, struggle as they continually face dead ends to discovering how to stop Ember. This story definitely keeps you on your toes in true Amos fashion with twists, surprises, and the snarky banter I've loved throughout the whole series.

This book features:
Post apocalyptic world
Intrigue
Angst
Guardian to Lover
Secrets
Snarky banter
HEA

Richard Amos is one of my go-to authors. He never fails to deliver an enjoyable read with well-developed worlds and characters that you can't help but love.

Can’t believe it is finally done. I loved reading this story as I am a huge fan of gargoyles and I just loved this game on their story. This is a bittersweet ending as I just loved Luke and Asher but I am sad to see the story end. After the last books cliffhanger I could not wait to jump in to this book to find out what would happen. We were left with poor Luke struggling to deal with finally remembering the truth about what happened to his brother Finn. He is determined to find a way to make it right. Luke realized he has stolen his brothers true destiny and has doomed him in the process. Meanwhile Asher is trying to cope with this ew information as well. Trying to come to terms that Finn is his mark not Luke. Seeing these two go through the struggles and finally get to their happily ever after is just perfect. It is a struggle of course but they deserve it. In the end it was a great story and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a great gargoyle read

Stone Ascension is the last book in Richard Amos' Gargoyle Marked series. The book is a quick start with Luke trapped in Amos' version of Purgatory. Lots of angst, Luke is worried about Finn and regretting Asher's loss. Asher, on the other hand, can't quite reconcile the Luke he loves with the Luke who destroyed the tower and town. So, yes, a boatload of angst.
The story is fast paced and has some really good world building. The plot was full of twists and turns, which isn't so unusual for this author. Asher and Luke's reconciliation and chance to start again was heartachingly lovely. I was a tiny bit surprised by the ending. But, bittersweet is also something this author does very, very well.
I couldn't put the book down. It just grabbed me and wouldn't let go. Can't wait for Amos' next epic journey.
I received an advanced copy from the author and this is my review.

Stone Ascension by Richard Amos – A Powerful, Emotional Finale (5/5 Stars)

I absolutely loved this final book in the Gargoyle Mark series. The plot twists were surprising and emotionally intense, and the character development—especially Luke’s—was incredibly well done. I felt real angst for the characters and was completely drawn into their journeys.

One thing that stood out to me was how Luke’s inner struggles reflected symptoms similar to Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). It added a thoughtful, layered depth to his story that I really appreciated.

TL;DR: Luke isn’t necessarily written as a textbook case of DID, but he embodies the spirit and psychological complexity of someone dealing with internal fragmentation. Whether intentional or not, it resonates powerfully and adds meaning to his journey.

A strong, satisfying conclusion to a truly unique series. 5 out of 5 stars.

“Stone Ascension” is the final book in the Gargoyle Marked series, and it was a crazy ride until the very end. This author’s creativity knows no bounds and I’m still reeling a bit of everything that happened in this series. The twists and turns just kept on coming, never really giving these characters (and the readers) a time to breathe and I don’t believe there will ever be a time I can start predicting anything in this author’s books.

So yes, this was another great paranormal MM series, with cute guys, lovely side characters, lots of twists in the storyline, amazing worldbuilding and a satisfying HEA. If you like your stories packed with unexpected developments, this is definitely the author for you.

I didn't have high hopes for Luke and Asher in this one. Things were falling apart and I had no idea how we were going to fix it. This book took us on an interesting journey of self-discovery for Luke. It was nice to see him finally learn to overcome his panic, be resilient, and face the evil surrounding him. My heart ached for Asher as he basically had to sit and do nothing for a majority of the book. The final 25% of the book shocked me! At first I was stunned thinking that all hope was lost, then I was stunned because we finally learned what was driving everyone in this crazy world! The entire book I was on the edge of my seat wondering how everything would turn out. Excellent ending to this fun series.

Asher and Luke (a human and a gargoyle) have been through so much … and now can they get back to each other and everything they hold dear…. And fight the evil in their world?

Holy Moses!!! I have been waiting for the last installment of this story and it is finally here!!! ‘Stone Ascension’ is jam packed with betrayal, action, and passion.

This book completes the ‘Gargoyle Marked’ series. I've gotta tell you, if you're looking for an amazing MM paranormal series, this is a great option! Please note - these books need to be read in order to fully enjoy them, but the whole series is now available!!!!

I just loved this series so much - the action around every corner, the raw emotion from the characters, and the supporting cast ❤️ Absolute fire!

The final book in the series throws both Garland brothers into the middle of the chaos that Ember has unleashed. While Finn is no more a terror and has to face off Ember as expected, Luke goes through a transformation that makes him ascend to something new. Meanwhile, the gargoyles are trying to stop the hell plaguing humans, preventing as many casualties as possible..
The last installment brought drama, many twists, lots of chaos, and raging emotions. Secrets were revealed, and relationships reshaped. I liked watching the love between Luke and Asher persist and withstand all the possible challenges, and enjoyed seeing Luke ascend. Also, I was hungry as always when Tom conjured some delicious cupcake :)

I'm gobsmacked. That’s about as coherent as I can be at the end of this book. Because, it went places I was not in the least prepared for. Luke and Asher’s worlds are about to be turned upside down a couple more times and all I could do was hang on for dear life as this ride went careening around twist after twist. There are so many things I want to say about this story, but I don’t dare, because the people who read this after me, need to be just as surprised as I was. What I will say is: hang on to your hat, it’s about to be a bumpy ride, but it was so, so worth it.

Again Mr. Amos has written another terrific work that's packed with an emotional roller coaster of tragic loss, a reconnect of humans and gargoyles. This was an enjoyable finish to this Gargoyle Marked series for this reader as I've now read all three books. The reader is taken on a final journey of fearful angsty anxiety in Luke's attempt to rescue his brother Finn, find his lover and guardian gargoyle Asher, and deliver his world back into its stable existence. Twists and turns aplenty that held this reader's attention. The surprise yet poignant ending only lent a great example of this author's writing talent. This is my honest review for the ARC I received.

What a ride!!! I love this Authors writing style as he took me for the most exciting wild ride that had major twists and turns and shocking surprises at the end. If you are looking for lots of heated Romance then this series is the one for you as it has it all.
What starts out as a nightmarish adventure turns out to be a good thing for our MMC Luke. We discover that second chances in life can happen if the mistake is severe in the world. Our second MMC Asher is amazing with how he is always striving for ways to make his love happy and cared for.
So, if you love amazing Happy Endings, Shocking Surprises, and Heated Romantic Scenes then you must read the Gargoyle Marked trilogy.

Richard Amos has done it again with Stone Ascension the third book in the Gargoyle Marked series. If mm paranormal Romances are your thing then this is the series for you! Especially if you love when humans and gargoyles come together with a bunch of steamy KA monster loving fun and of course a dose of magic, mayhem and intrigue tossed in for an extra captivating ride. I have loved Asher and Lukes journey from the very beginning and while it was a tad sad to see it come to an end, I have hope and faith that Richard will once again reunite us with this world and maybe we can catch a glimpse of them again!

I honestly put off reading this book for a while because I just was not ready for the series to be over… And I was not ready for the emotional trauma that I felt Luke’s issues was gonna leave me with. My heart hurts so bad for this character with everything that he went through with all three books and I just wanted him to get his happy ending. The author gets us to the HEA eventually but way to have my stomach all tied in knots the entire time! I was happy to see the guys again but I’ll definitely miss them. Do we get to see a more in depth story to some side characters?!? Because that would not make me sad at all 🖤

This final book in the trilogy was fantastic! I love how we can absolutely feels Luke's anguish at the tsunami, and Asher's love for Luke. Once again, some fantastic banter and snark, gotta love it! Also love Luke and his pickles, lol. The world building was phenomenal, and I love how the author portrayed this world of gargoyles, monsters and humans. It was so easy to get lost in the story. I enjoyed some surprising character redemptions, and this wonderful combination of horror, fantasy and steam had me in a total grip from the moment I started, until I finished. Amazing read!

Richard gives us a wicked finale to the Gargoyle Marked series! Luke and Asher's story continues from where the previous cliffhanger left us dangling. Luke is trapped in a weird ice prison while his brother, Finn is once again alive and well with Asher protecting him but pining for Luke. So much happens on the way to all of their HEAs that you'll have to dive into this beautifully written story with complex characters and plot twists that keep you turning pages throughout! I loved reading this story and highly recommend the series. Don't miss out on this book!!

The story is a continuation of the previous ones but it is much more action-packed and has a lot more emotional impact. I kind of felt that the end that it was a little bit of a letdown but I kind of also feel that that followed the characters' story like the letdown after an adrenaline rush. I do have to say that Asher seems particularly obsessed with cursing this time around. Great conclusion to the series.

This book finishes the “Gargoyle Marked” series, and it brings the story to a close with plenty of drama and action and snark and feeling. It’s a glorious, captivating, and deeply immersive series of plot twists and turns and does justice to the characters and the world they inhabit. Definitely start at the beginning of the series, if you haven’t already, and when you get here, brace yourself for quite a ride. 4.5 stars.

Third and final book in the series! Make sure you read the first two.

Book three picks up right where book two left us hanging. I’m glad they were able to rescue Finn. The love between Asher and Luke was swoon worthy. I loved their banter and the way their personalities really complimented each other. They were able to face the hardships head on together and come out victorious. I was sad it came to an end, but I enjoyed tagging along on their journey.

I highly recommend reading!
