“Darcy looks like maybe I want her to be mine.”

Daddy Jake is everything. He’s sweet, caring, and a sexy AF nerd with a dirty mouth. I love the way he loves Darcy.

“you feel like home to me. You are peace. And I know we haven’t known each other long but I want to freeze it forever too.”

Darcy is finding her way back to herself and finds a life she didn’t know she needed. She’s stubborn and bold. She’s loving yet cautious. She’s thoughtful and self-less.

The spicy scenes are *chef’s kiss.* totally unexpected, in a good way. You’ll know when you know.

The side characters add so much to the book and I can’t wait to (hopefully) read more about some of them in future books.

This was such a cute and fun summery read! I really enjoyed Sweet on You and seeing what Darcy and Jake got into during their summer of hard work on the Rosetti family farm. This book is filled with so much kind-hearted, genuine effort to see the other person and try to give them what they need, and I felt like that authenticity really shone through. The way this was challenged in parts of the novel didn't completely make sense to me if I'm being honest—more specifically, Darcy calls Jake out for doing something and then the third act breakup is centered around her essentially doing the same thing, making a decision for him while excluding his input or desires in that decision. However, humans are messy, imperfect beings, so I ultimately felt like this was a very raw moment that fit in perfectly in the context of how Darcy was coping with her life before coming back to the farm even though it was frustrating to read.

Darcy was a very layered FMC and since much of the narrative is told from her POV, I rooted for her so much. I ultimately loved her character arc and was glad to see her end up in a place she was happy in.

I did not like the Daddy kink. Overall, Daddy kink is not for me, and I think I would have learned to be okay with it in the context of the spicier scenes if the whole Daddy kink thing wasn't bolstered by the side characters calling Jake Daddy all the time. It didn't feel like poking fun among friends, it felt very immature and strange and uncomfortable.

Sometimes the dialogue overall felt this way, just kind of unnatural and stiff, especially the dialogue between Darcy and Brianna, and Becca's dialogue with literally everyone. I didn't care for Becca much at all if I'm being honest. The storyline with Rob was perfectly threaded throughout the narrative, and I was glad when he was finally dealt with.

Overall, I found this to be a fun time; Jake was a peach—pun intended—and I adored him. I'm definitely excited to read more from this author!

Thank you to Grey's Promotions and Dani Galliaro for providing me with an ARC!

I really enjoyed this story. Loved the banter and the deep conversations our fmc and mmc have

Darcy quits her job and moved back home after finding out her fiancé now ex was sabotaging her promotions at work so he could be the “bread winner “

Once home she is left in charge of the farm and deal with a new farmhand Jake, a hot cowboy ….
Can she get her life back on track ? Will Jake distract her ?

A new to me author, and I enjoyed the story. Darcy is in a spot, her now ex has sabotaged her job. Now she needs a place to live and a job.

She moves home to the Rosetti Family Peach farm, and will be in charge while her family travels. She also needs to work with the new farmhand, Jake. Now their meet cutes, are fun. Darcy does experience a lot of growth over the course of the book. Can she get her life back on track?
I also enjoyed the banter, and it is an easy fun read.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

This was such a fun read! And now I want to read more books by Dani.

The FMC, Darcy, quits her job and moves back home to work on the family peach farm after her now ex-fiancée sabotaged her job promotion. The MMC, Jake, is finishing his degree and needs to test his fruit picking robot. What better way to run tests than on a peach farm?

Darcy and Jake are so good together and I loved all the banter! Jake helps Darcy become independent and figure out who she is away from her horrible ex. Rob sucks!

They help each other grow and heal in their journey to move on from various baggage.

I can’t wait for Brianna, Becca and Stone’s story!

This was a cute rom-comish book that will be great for a fun summer read.
The FMC is running back home to her family’s farm after life throws her a curveball. The MMC is sort of in a transition and taking the summer to work on a peach farm as a farm hand. There is fun banter, the chemistry and level of spice were good with some funny side characters. Unfortunately there were times when I did have a hard time connecting with the characters and some of the serious topics could have more fully explored. I would have liked more depth in the topics.
Also i think I’m not a daddy trope fan and so those parts I didn’t enjoy. I loved the authors previous books, but this one unfortunately didn’t resonate with me.
If you’re looking for a sweet and fun summer romance book then add Sweet On You to your TBR

Thank you Greys Promotions for the arc!

I’ve read a few of Dani’s books and while I enjoyed the change of trope and vibe (this is more country- whereas she’s mainly wrote hockey romances) I’m not sure this was my fave book by her. I felt this book kinda dragged more so then her others and didn’t keep my interest as much.

3.5 rounded up. This wasn't my favorite book, but I think it would still be a good fit for those who enjoy a small town romance with black cat/golden retriever.

Darcy is heading back home to the family farm after finding out her fiance is responsible for her not getting a promotion at work (among being just kind of the worst guy ever). Jake is looking for a place to stay and a farm to work at while he is finishing up his graduate program. And it just so happens that the farm he lands at is also being run for the summer by the hot girl he saw at the diner. Darcy wants nothing to do with him, and Jake is determined to change her mind. But what happens when the summer ends?

The banter between Jake and Darcy is what had me in this book. Even when they were fighting it, there was still chemistry that couldn't be ignored. Jake caring for Darcy when she got sick was also so sweet and I loved the angst in this book as well.

However, I had a really hard time with the conflicts in the story. I think her ex showing up was unnecessary (could have been a phone call tbh) and then their relationships with their parents kind of fell a little flat to me.

Thank you to Grey's Promotions for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you so much Grey’s Promotion and Dani Galliaro for giving me the opportunity to receive this eARC!

I loved this story and the relationship between Darcy and Jake!! It was definitely a black cat/golden retriever romance. This was a absolutely adorable story and a perfect summer romance. Darcy was my absolute favorite FMC and I loved seeing her personal growth and finally getting what she wanted.

ARC REVIEW
This book was honestly just okay. Like I feel like nothing really happened. At the beginning I was really enthralled and found the book to be so fun and cute, but it got sooooo boring in the middle. And there were a ton of inconsistencies that got annoying after awhile. Like during the middle I feel like the focus of the book went to Darcy’s friend and her interest in a throuple. Idk it was just really weird. Also I feel like any time Darcy and Jake started to get hot and heavy everything fizzled out for the dumbest reasons. I feel like we never truly got a spice scene between them and their overall relationship just didn’t even progress. This book was honestly okay, but wasn’t great.

Oh. My. Heart. This was such an incredible read! This story was filled with joy, hope, sorrow, growth, reflection, and the most delicious spicy spice.

Darcy has run away to her aunt & uncle's peach farm in West Virginia after breaking up with her absolute d-bag of a fiancé after he sabotaged her career. Jake is a super smart guy who is in grad school, into sports and coach of a little league team who is looking to work the summer on a peach farm so he can try out his fruit picking robot.

Their eyes meet across the room one night at the local bar/restaurant. It is intrigue & lust at first sight. But they don't speak. Not until he shows up for his first day of work at her uncle's farm, that she is running for the summer. And so begins a summer of bickering, tension, toys, caring, kitty loving, and daddy discovery. *insert all the feet kicks and squeals here*

Darcy is the most gorgeous character. She is messy, unsure, strong, bold, and loud. She is a dreamer who is learning who she is, what she wants and how to be happy. Love her!

Jake is a hot daddy and he is everything! He is sweet, kind, strong, caring, and compassionate. He has his own learning to do and, because he is a perfect book boyfriend, he actually does it. Swoon!

I adore Dani's writing. My brain loves the way she builds her worlds and characters. And the emotion that she conveys is intense. She has a gift and I cannot recommend this book enough!

I received this as an ARC which had zero impact on my review. My review is based solely on the quality & pure amazing-ness of the story.

Due to some unexpected life events that took up way more of my time than I planned, this took me way longer to read than normal. I, usually, try to complete my ARC reads in a much more timely manner. I really love the story of Jake & Darcy. I feel for Darcy’s back story having had a boyfriend similar to her ex fiancé. It was so nice to see her come out into her own and discover herself and learn to find love again. Watching that journey of hers was hard and beautiful! I love that Jake was able to see and feel her pain too and help her built herself and her confidence back up as well. I completely dig her stubborn self and sarcasm. Girl…I feel that. Love the bit of a wild side thrown in there. The big crazy family vibe is perfect and right up my alley. I found myself laughing and crying with the book. It is genuinely a great story. I really REALLY liked it. I’m a sucker for a hurt girl comes home to meet handsome boy who helps her feel better and she falls in love with him vibe. This has that vibe but with its own twists and spins that still keeps it fresh and unique. Definite spice.

The whole building up someone who has been broken really tugged on my heart strings. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was fun and sweet and wild and free all at once.

I rated it a little lower because (my one downside) , the degree of bedroom talk is a little extra over the top for me. I’ve read my share of explicit books, but there is just certain verbiage/phrases that is a no for me and more than one of those phrases was present. (Kind of triggers for me if you will) These phrases just took away from the over all aesthetic of the book for me. Without these it would probably have been more of a 4.5 instead of a 3.5. But that is a personal preference.

Thank you for the opportunity to ARC read this beautiful book and to meet Darcy and Jake!

Oh this was perfect. I am so in love with Jake and Darcy I could cry. Dani Galliaro has officially cemented herself as one of my go-to authors—her writing never fails to grab my attention, wrap me up in her world, and make me feel everything. I’ve read two other books from Dani and somehow, Sweet on You still managed to surprise me with how beautifully balanced it was.

Despite touching on some heavier themes, this book still felt light, hopeful, and full of those fuzzy, heartwarming moments I crave in a romance. Jake and Darcy’s connection was undeniable, and the way their relationship unfolded had me grinning like a fool. Their chemistry? Off the charts. Their banter? Chef’s kiss. And don’t even get me started on the emotional beats—this story had me laughing, swooning, and tearing up, sometimes all at once.

I didn’t want it to end, and I already know I’ll be rereading it when I need something that feels like a warm hug. If you haven’t picked this up yet, what are you doing?! Go fall in love with Jake and Darcy too. You won’t regret it.

Trigger warnings: an emotionally abusive ex, alcohol consumption, healing from an abusive relationship, difficult parental relationships, death of a parent (off page, in the past), discussions of grief, physical violence (not between the main characters), discussions of STI risk, explicit sex scenes (spitting, cum play, light anal play, impact play/spanking, light daddy kink, breeding kink)

3.5 stars.

"Sweet on You" by Dani Galliaro is a spicy small-town, forced proximity, hurt x comfort, cowboy rom-com with great chemistry between its main characters. It has its moments of fun, and several moments of sweetness between leads, but it also drags here and there. I love that Jake is a foul-mouthed cowboy who is into dirty talkin'. I love that Darcy is a self-assured, self-reliant person who wants to take care of things on her own, but she gets defensive whenever anyone else tries to help her. She does display growth throughout the story, though, so that's a positive. They have terrific banter with one another, which is easily the book's best part. Some of the dialogue is pretty cringeworthy, though. There is A LOT, and I mean A LOT, of spice here. I am all for it, but not in place of plot. I would have liked a little more depth in place of some of the spicy scenes. Overall, I had a good time reading this.

Thank you to Dani Galliaro and Grey's Promotions for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

This was a very well written story. I loved Darcy from the first two sentences of chapter 1 LOL.
I related well with Darcy’s character. She was emotionally abused and didn’t realize until she got out. Now she faces so many what ifs and the constant worry of she’s doing something wrong. Even going through that she was still a strong character. I loved watching her being loved the right way. Jake really showed her what it felt like to be taken care of, cherished and loved. Even when they were just friends. He knew he wanted more but he was taking it at a pace that worked with Darcy. (Considering she ran away literally LOL).
It was easy to follow the story and I loved the background characters. They were all easy characters to love. This story can definitely be an emotional read. It gives you all the feels for anyone that had gone through what Darcy did. I’m grateful I had the opportunity to read this and was sent the ARC for it.
I hope others enjoy it as much as I did:)

Thank you so much to Dani Galliaro and Greys Promotions for the chance to read this as an ARC! 🩵

This book was an absolute blast to read! I adored the West Virginian drawl, gave the story such a country charm. Darcy's sassy attitude completely won me over, I saw so much of myself in her 😍 The tone of this book is informal, witty, and full of personality! And the banter between Darcy and Jake? Next level. The name-calling had me grinning the whole time, and don’t even get me started on the spice - it brought the heat! ❤️‍🔥 If you're into country or cowboy romances, this one fits right in with the best of them. Fun, flirty, and full of sass—I couldn’t put it down! 🥃💋🐎

Now this was just downright adorable. Perfect balance of cuteness, making me laugh constantly and some nice kinky spice.

A perfect combination. Plus probably one of my favorite starts to a book. Instantly pulled up and hooked for the ride.

What I didn't expect was the self worth and growth that happens throughout for our lovely FMC Darcy. There is nothing better than a girl learning to love herself and knowing her worth.

My mom always taught me to find peace within myself before I could find peace with someone else and this really just drove that home for me.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I don’t know what it is but I just absolutely love Dani’s books. I find her characters so relatable,  flawed and imperfect in the best way and I connect with them in a way you don't always with characters.

The banter in this book was so much fun. The way Darcy had everyone else working on the farm calling Jake “daddy” 🥵.

I really liked Darcy's character. She as strong and witty, stubborn and bold, but also vulnerable and scared.

Jake is honestly a walking green flag golden retriever. I absolutely loved how patient he was with Darcy, constant validating her feelings, making her feel seen and heard. He understood she was going through a hard time. He apologized when he overstepped and boy this man was ready to please.

If you are longing for summer, this sweet summer romance is the perfect to get you ready for those hot summer days.

A run away bride. a cowboy. Working on a farm for the summer.
What could possibly happen?

When her fiancé ruins her promotion, what other decision does Darcy make than to go run home to find herself again where she truly has always belonged West Virginia

Coming to realize that how she has been treated was not real love. As the summer becomes nothing less than steamy with none other than the cowboy Jake Warren. Darcy will discover what is feels like when Jake is SWEET ON YOU.

This book was the cutest summer romance that I’ve read in a while. Thank you for allowing me to be an ARC of this book.

If you haven’t picked this book up, do yourself a favor and go grab it!

Well.... Hello Jake Warren.. I am always all for a cowboy, I am, who isn't? But add in a heavy dose of nerdy to that smexy, charming cowboy and SWOON 🫠!!! Jake is a rock and an adventure for Darcy as she navigates life post the tool - formerly known as her fiance - Rob. Darcy was processing a sudden life change, grieving the loss of what she thought her life was going to be, attempting to figure out what she wants with her now wide open future and Jake is ever present and wonderful and willing to lend a hand (iykyk) 😉. This story is funny, steamy, and filled with drama.

If any book could be a nice warm hug- it would be this one! It genuinely had all the things- moments where I "awed" out loud and moments that had me kicking my feet and blushing!

Honestly we need more Jake's in the world- smart funny cowboys!! He was my favorite character and the way he was always there to help Darcy? *insert swoon*

I can't wait for the side character's stories from the found family that was created in this book 🥹 Also, Rob is lucky he's a fictional character 🤛🏼

Sometimes all a girl needs is a smutty cowboy romance to brighten her day. This read was super sweet (no pun intended) and is def a great book to get out of a reading slump. I really liked the main characters but I found Jake to be a little too unrealistic. yes I love a fictional man who has no flaws but Jake was almost too flawless. The third act breakup was also just not needed lol. I still enjoyed myself reading this, it was really fun and there were certain parts that were really funny and the side characters were great!

She’s the boss • black cat x golden retriever • She’s had it with her ex and returns home to the family farm, he’s an ex-barrel racer who’s getting his degree in robotics and needs a place to test it. I enjoyed the banter between everyone in this book. Love Jake for helping Darcy gain her independence and allowing her to see how strong she is. I’m glad for Jake getting his answers/closure he needed. The third act break up was a bit *eye-rolling* but I guess I can understand it. Overall a cute, funny read!

I just love everything Dani writes. Jake is such a sweet filthy mouthed cowboy that loves hard. Darcy is a strong woman, trying to find herself again. Meeting Jake showed her she could love and trust again. Their chemistry and banter was top tier. As in all her books, the friend group was so good. I loved all the side characters.

This story was full of wonderful deep characters with lots of feelings and true life experiences. Overall I enjoyed all the characters but there seemed to be a lot of emphasis on some side characters to set up the next story that took me out of this one. And some parts dragged for me and was much longer then necessary.
