Ahhhhh, it’s so good to be reading London Snow’s book again 🥰 I’m just so obsessed with that author and everything she writes!!!

And I did enjoy A Very Unhinged Christmas a lot, I just wish it was a bit longer… They were such a great couple, so pleeeeeeeease give me more of them!!!

Some of you may know that I love me a good old age gap, and we have it here hehe (she’s 19 and he’s 39). And I know, I know… but they met when she was already 19 so that makes it better. What I love even more (hehe) is a celibate, inexperienced MMC 🧎🏻‍♀️(he’s been celibate at least since college, I’m not sure if it was precisely mentioned, but if it was, I didn’t notice). All in all, long celibacy. Yes, please, thank you.

I’m all for all the kinks London writes in the smut in her books, so no complaints in that department as always. I sometimes wonder if London Snow lives in my brain, because all the kinks are always a win for me lmaoooo 🤣 And I’m serious, ALWAYS.

Loved the characters, loved the vibes. I wish it was longer, because Coach Kav 👀👀👀 oh gosh, I love an older man… Ellie was great too, so I’m in a serious need to get to know better. It’s a Christmas novella with a bit of spice in it, so be prepared for not as much of a plot, but it’s perfect for a cozy afternoon.

give me a sexy older man who falls for his woman the minute he sees her and is a virgin any-day. This is a novella so it’s very quick, however we do see cillianellie in the series or at least cillian. He’s the coach for the hockey team.

I do wish this was longer because I feel like her dad disappearing and her mom just vanishing could’ve been a good plot!

I’ve been waiting for coach Kav’s book since we first met him in the other books. He’s so damn grumpy. But he’s nothing but a softy for his girl.

I do wish this would have been more of a full length book though. Seeing them at school, him being possessive and jealous over any of the college boys talking to her. Them sneaking around a little bit. All these things would have been fun to read about. I feel like it was a missed opportunity for a great story.

One thing I am confused about though is the author states at the end of the book that he is a celibate MMC but during the book he talks about how’s he’s never done anything before. So is he celibate or a virgin? I wish that was clarified more.

I love a hot coach, especially if it’s in an age gap romance! I love this book series and i was so excited to read about Coach Kavanaugh! She showed up on his doorstep one day, and he’s house whipped from that moment on. This book was extreme grumpy x sunshine, and it was adorable. The grumpy hockey coach is willing to decorate his entire house pink for her. Also I loved the Guardian x ward trope now! Yes he’s twice her age but he’s her home. Both Ellie and Cillian are lonely, and lost but they become each others home. This book was beautiful, with some great spice. I give this a 5/5

Ughhh I love London’s books! This was short, sweet, spicy and the chemistry was sizzling. Is what a Christmas novella should be. This story is about Cillian (Coach Kav) and sweet Ellie. He becomes her guardian and safety net after literally being dropped off at his door. They live together for 8 long months before they finally snap and move past that forbidden boundary. This flowed perfectly and we got a great story line, and off course the spice was spicing. Loved it!

This was a hot and spicy time!

I went into this basically blind so I will say the age gap was a bit too much for my personal liking but I do appreciate the content warnings at the beginning of the book!

Despite that I think the story was very cute and I really loved the main characters.

Cillian was a sweet and possessive main character and I never felt like he came off creepy in any way, which I’ve unfortunately encountered in other age gap romances. But he was super funny and even though it was brief I love his interactions with the team.

Ellie was so amazing. She has been through so much and in her short life and because of that I felt like her and Cillian actually had quite a bit in common which was very reassuring throughout the story.

The spice was spicing!! I knew it was gunna be explosive and I love how they played off on each other.

Overall short and sweet and good for lovers of hockey and the holidays.

Coach Kav: Short, Sweet, and Scandalously Addictive

London really said here’s a tiny snack and handed us Coach Kav, and now I’m sitting here starving. My only real complaint? This story is shorter than my attention span on a Monday morning, and I desperately need more of this adorable, chaotic couple.

For such a quick read, it is PACKED with adoration. Coach Kav is out here breathing for Ellie, thinking about Ellie, dreaming about Ellie… and meanwhile pretending he’s totally unaffected. Sir, please. The man is one heavy exhale away from confessing his undying love.

And Ellie? Oh, she’s down bad too. The mutual obsession is so strong it could power the whole campus and its surroundings.

If you’re in the mood for a bite-sized romance with love, tension, and the perfect sprinkle of spice, this is exactly the treat you need.

P.S. Every time Coach Kav yelled at Hayden, I laughed like an idiot. Absolute gold.

So freaking sweet!!!
90% of the book was Cillian aka Coach Kav being so obsessed and unhinged towards Ellie. 5% of the book was Coach Kav hate(love) relationship with Hayden 🤣 It was so funny how he fixated on Hayden Lockwood 🤣🤣
As someone who have read 2 out of 3 books in this series, I enjoyed Coach Kav's novella because the author has been hinting on him and Ellie since Tristan and Winter's book.
In serious note, this book is so light in plots and so heavy in spiciness. I actually wish the author explain more about Ellie's past, why his father dumped her in Cillian's front door. I think the author will explain more in her upcoming "secret society" series. Can't wait!!!

I have to say every book by London Snow is top tier and this one is no difference; even for a novella.

I need me a Cillian, the way he created his whole world to revolve around Ellie was WILD. I really didn’t think that was the origin story but you know what? It fits with London’s MMC and he didn’t disappoint.

Ellie? She didn’t disappoint either, she saw an opening and took it. She knew what she wanted and knew how to make Cillian break and cave to her whims and she took it.

I love me a touch starved age gap and this hit the spot the whole way.

1. The content warning labels Cillian as celibate, yet it's heavily implied that he's actually a virgin. I'm not sure if, initially, the plan was for him to be celibate and it changed to virgin, but more than once his inexperience is referred to. It's even stated that he doesn't know what he's doing, never touched a girl or woman in that way, etc.

2. I wish there was some closure regarding her dad instead of leaving it unknown.

3. Cillian yelling at Lockwood brings me so much delight.

London Snow delivered exactly what the title promises... unhinged, obsessive, heart-squeezing perfection and I devoured every second of it.

This isn’t just a spicy Christmas novella, it’s warm, sweet, cheesy, swoony holiday goodness with a side of deliciously unhinged obsession. It hits every feel from head to toe.

Coach was nothing like I expected, in the best way. I always knew he had that rough, gritty edge, but seeing his upbringing and backstory cracked everything wide open. Suddenly every protective, possessive, slightly deranged decision he makes? It all clicks. And the way he’s instantly drawn to Ellie… I don’t think I’ve ever annotated a prologue more aggressively in my life.

His obsession and protectiveness are off-the-charts addictive. Tracking her in more ways than one (if you know, you know 😏)? Getting a job he “hates” to give her a real college experience, while conveniently becoming the broody hockey coach at Castlebrook U? Becoming an absolute menace every time Hayden Lockwood enters the room? Fully unhinged behavior, and I loved every second.

And Ellie… she is NOT as shy as she looks. Sweet, soft, a little timid with the world but with Coach? She knows exactly what she’s doing. She sees how obsessed he is, and she lives for it. She flirts just enough to make him unravel, and the way she eats up every bit of his intensity? Chef’s kiss. She wants him just as much as he wants her, and heading to that cabin on Christmas Eve, right as the snowstorm rolls in, yeah she knew exactly what would happen. Wrapped up together, no escape. Perfect.

Coach Kav (Cillian) is the grumpy, blue eyed, dark blonde, tough upbringing hero who melts into absolute mush for his “Ellie Girl.” I can't believe Coach was such a softy. His soft side is completely, utterly adorable. He’s the softest grump you’ll ever meet...just don’t tell him that.

And then London hits us with a bike scene for good measure. Not fair. The way Ellie describes how it feels to be on the bike with him...his touch, his hands always on her—it was EVERYTHING.

London truly has a magical gift when it comes to writing spice for virgin FMCs. I don’t know what she puts in these books, but the formula works every time. Whether her books are 80 pages or 300, I’m glued to my seat until I finish. And for her first age-gap romance? She nailed it. Completely.

I loved the story. It’s too short though. I’ve loved all of London’s books so far. And these Castlebrook guys are something!! I wanted more obviously. But it was ok for a short story. Very low-angst. Very swoony. He is obsessed from second one!!

London says he is celibate. But I didn’t find anything that suggests that. He always says things that makes me think he has never been with any woman before. Take for example: “Baby, say something. I don’t know what to do here,” he’s begging me, and I realize in this moment that when he said he’d not been with other women this way, he wasn’t exaggerating.” So, again, I don’t know why the author puts him as celibate when he is a virgin. So dual virgins… yeeeesssss!!!! The way I like it and continues with the DV in the series.

They both are healing from their family connection. He is an orphan and she was abandoned by her father. So, they are home for each other. I loved their gifts.

Just two things I marked as red flags: she’s not on birth control, so, they both don’t care if she gets pregnant, and it’s ok. But it sounds like the previous books; all the MCs don’t want the girl to take birth control but months pass, and even they graduate and they don’t get pregnant. It’s like… are they all infertile?

The other dislike was that he asked some freshmen and their girlfriends to decorate his cabin. Ummm… it’s their house, secluded so no one disturbs them. Why did he ask this of students? Why didn’t he do it himself? Idk, it’s privacy stuff to me. But ok.

Beside those two points, I loved the story. Yeah, I wish the other bunch and gals appeared more, maybe the girls started being friends with Ellie. But maybe that’s for the next book.

And btw, it’s not that unhinged. We don’t get to see him doing unhinged things to those that breathed near her. It’s just a sweet book.

I can’t wait for next London Snow full book.

Oh. My. GOD. A Very Unhinged Christmas by London Snow absolutely devoured me whole in the best, most chaotic, most blush-inducing way possible. This book is unpolished perfection, the exact kind of unhinged, snowy, “he’d burn the world for her” Christmas romance I didn’t know I desperately needed.

Cillian Kavanagh? Forget broody—this man is a full-blown ice-cold menace with a worship kink, and I was hanging off every single tense, restrained, “I’m one second from snapping” moment. The discipline! The obsession! The way he pretends he’s fine when he is so, SO not! I swear I could HEAR the tension humming off the page.

And Ellie… sweet, talented, sunshine-soft Ellie who has absolutely NO idea her grumpy, celibate hockey coach/temporary guardian/secret stalker is holding himself together with the emotional equivalent of dental floss. The chemistry between them? GOOD LORD. It’s the kind of crackling, electric, slow-building storm that makes you kick your feet and scream into a pillow because WHY IS THIS SO HOT.

Then we get the snowstorm. The cabin. The one bedroom. The discovery of his “little habit” of knowing way too much about her life. And instead of fear? She gives him trust. Curiosity. Softness. And Cillian just breaks in the most deliciously feral, protective way. It’s like the whole book was waiting for that one spark to ignite an avalanche of heat, devotion, and absolutely unhinged Christmas obsession.

I loved their chemistry so much—intense, tender, forbidden, completely irresistible. This book is spicy in that “I shouldn’t be enjoying this as much as I am but here we are” sort of way. And I savored every unhinged second.

If you want a Christmas romance that’s dark, obsessive, snowy, and swoony with a hero who is ONE BREATH AWAY from losing his mind over the girl he can’t have… read this immediately.

This was a fun short spicy read.

Cillian meets Ellie when his old college roommate drops her on his remote cabin doorstep. She is in some sort of danger and has no one but him; he takes her in and cares for her. Cillian is instantly obsessed and vows to take care of her. He is an assassin by training but takes a job as a college hockey coach to give her a typical life. The main story takes place 8 months later when they go back to his cabin for Christmas, where they each give in to their feelings for each other.

Dropped a star: bc the author says his celibate in the forward, but then he says he’s never been w anyone… she refers to sensing that she’s his first but he never says anything about it when they’re together the first time and he seems to know what he’s doing. 🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s not that important but the inconsistently was distracting.

London Snow has done it again! Made me fall for another Castlebrook man. This time it is 39 years old Coach Cillian Kavanagh. He is grumpy, he is older and obsessed with his college friend's daughter, Ellie.

A Very Unhinged Christmas is about Cillian and Ellie. She was dropped off at his front door of his cabin in the middle of the night by her dad. Her mother has disappeared and her dad is in dangerous trouble. He left her with the one man that could and will protect her. Cillian is a trained sniper. He doesn't do relationships due to his upbringing in the foster system. He struggled and fought to be the man he is. He is in control and doesn't feel, but lately something has been missing.

The moment he lays his eyes on Ellie, he knows its her that he needs to protect, to take care of, to keep. Ellie is 19 years old and has her own struggles due to her father's involvement with some dangerous people. She finds herself falling for the one man that has sworn to not touch her but is slowly losing that control.
