So much better than I expected

I didn't know what to expect when I first downloaded it but I quickly was pleasantly surprised. I loved the flashback chapters so much. I was not expecting so much of a mystery as I got and loved it.

This was insanely boring. I wouldn’t call it a romance, either. The couple barely interacts with each other.

Since the cover looked very cute and I hadn't heard of the author before, I decided to give this novella a go, and it was quite a pleasant surprise. Although at first it just looks like a professor romance, the story has got a number of aces up its sleeve that kept me on my toes until the very end! I thought that the plot twists regarding the MC's pasts were really clever, and although I didn't see them coming, neither did I feel cheated or like they were gratuitous - which is really difficult to pull off! There was also a very sweet confession scene that had me giggling and kicking my feet like a teenage girl reading the Bravo! special issue about their fave boyband. One more round of editing could have made it even better, but I overall enjoyed the read and look forward to reading more of Finn's works.
