When the mysterious Order comes to Mike Radley's home begging for his help, he doesn't know what to expect.
He didn't expect a trip to Maui where he would butt heads with merfolk nobility. He really didn't expect a confrontation with the Captain, a man with a magical boat and mysterious goals. And he definitely didn't expect to get caught in a war between the living and the dead.
Will Mike Radley sink the Captain's plans? Or will he drown in misery, instead?
Once again I applaud your artful command of literary skill Ms Hawthorne. Throughout all the Radley books I have found genuine connections with those whom you have populated your writing. I feel as if you're writing biographical stories rather than fiction. However, in this book your development of Cyrus as a caring and brave friend to all of Mike Radley's family brought tears to my eyes when he found out that he had not survived Laurel and the SoS's attacks even though he had saved Grace and her brother. Cheers to you for your labor and thank you for one of the most satisfying reads of my life.
At some point Annabelle is gonna stop being able to top herself. Mike is a very well developed character by this point and yes some of the harem definitely get less screen time but its still sexy as hell and stuffed full of ludicrously large scale action scenes that somehow dont collapse in on themselves. Probably my second favorite of the main series.
Mike with the help of his family has succeeded again. This was an exciting tale with well written characters, fast paced action and spice! I enjoyed it immensely. That cliff hanger at the end....
This was honestly one of, if not the best book in this series. It was at the same time a culmination of everything prior brought forth, and a start to a much larger story.
