A dual point of view, friends to lovers, small town romance. Paige is a complete and utter book nerd. She works in the EverBloom bookshop, has done since she was sixteen. She had big plans to do a creative writing program, get a literary agent, publish best selling books around the world, every bookish girls dream. Grief stricken, she never quite made it out of that town. Happy with the mundane, vanilla life she has made for herself. Still her dreams live on. Jax, the high school football jock, nice guy who never really felt seen for who he actually was. Except from when he was with Paige. Talking him down from panic attacks and helping him study when he didn't really need help. Encouraging him to live his life for him and no one else. He was in love with Paige. But he didn't want the people he was friends with the make fun of him or her. It had been almost five years since they seen each other, but it was like no time had passed. Bonding over spilled coffee and flirty banter, their invisible string had finally pulled them back together.

This was so cute. If you're looking for a low angst, low stakes sweet romance between two adorable human beings, I think this would be perfect for you!
I love supporting Coral Cooper because of her exuberant personality and how much she cares about her work! If you're a fan of cheesy romance books, particularly those by a Scottish indie author, and are looking for more underrated authors to support, I definitely recommend checking out this one.
Unfortunately it was a DNF for me, as it just hadn't been edited. I really struggle to block this out when reading, especially given how many lovely people offer affordable services. I'd love to come back to these books in the future and give them a proper go, as this isn't a criticism of Coral's storytelling or writing style at all!
Congratulations on achieving your biggest dreams and putting out these books, Coral. I really hope you go far.
