Anna Snyder's debut novel is a winner!
I loved this book! The story, the characters, the setting all worked together to create an unforgettable story world in old Samarkand. The protagonist Saina is in an untenable set of circumstances but has somehow managed to rise above bitterness to become a highly respected servant. Despite her excellent reputation, she is accused of treachery and nearly succumbs to despair when help comes from an unexpected source. I highly recommend this well-researched and beautifully-written book!

As a debut novel, The Weaver’s Tapestry is a triumph. Anna C. Snyder masterfully draws readers into the gripping story of Saina, a young woman on a courageous journey to uncover the truth about her past and boldly step into her future. From the very first page, the richly drawn characters and vividly imagined setting pull you into a world that feels both fantastical and deeply rooted in cultural authenticity. Snyder’s storytelling weaves emotion, mystery, and resilience into every chapter, leaving readers both satisfied and eager for more. I’m already looking forward to Book #2 in the series!

Anna C Snyder has written a fascinating story set in Samarkand on the ancient Silk Road. The lineage of her daughter inspired this story of loyalty and betrayal, remembrance and forgiveness, and the hope we all need on life’s journey. Her research and details brings to life the peoples of this ancient civilization. Highly recommend this first book in her series about the Silk Road!
