Wolfe & Chosyn

Rate this book
Chosyn Ashland learned the hard way that love is nothing but a loaded gun, dangerous, unpredictable, and bound to leave scars. Betrayal hardened her heart, and she swore never to fall again, especially not for Wolfe. His touch is a battlefield, igniting fears she’s spent years burying, yet stirring desires too powerful to ignore. Beneath her ice cold exterior lies a woman craving something real, something that won’t shatter her all over again.

Wolfe Gravehart moves through life like a phantom, silent, lethal, and deadly. Loyalty to his brothers runs in his blood, but when it comes to Chosyn...there’s no line he won’t cross. She’s chaos wrapped in beauty & the peace his heart has never known.

Two souls bound by pain, drawn together by something neither can explain. The harder they fight, the deeper they fall. And in a world where love is war, surrender might be their only way out.

Whew..... what a read! Wolfe and Chosyn both experienced trauma and heartbreak in their childhoods, leaving them hardened and closed off to love. However, sometimes there is a person who is able to knock down all the barriers you've built for yourself, and immerse themselves so deeply into your soul, you can't see your life without them. That is Wolfe and Chosyn! It took hell and high water to get them there, but their love was proven solid.

River and Crown were just doin' too much! Just be together already damn! 👀 That back and forth ish they were doing was cute at first but became annoying over time. I still want to know if they get together or not tho. 🤣 Honor and Navy. What will become of these two as Honor seems to never get an opportunity to live for himself. Always the sacrificial lamb. 🥲

The twists, turns, and revelations in this thang had my head spinning. I cannot count the number of times I opened and closed my mouth like a damn fish, at what I was reading! 🤯 Looking forward to the next installment.

“I got to bury 🥷 where my heart be!”

Two broken halves 💔 can still make a whole 🥹❤️.

Wolfe is all BIG BDE energy! His story and testimony will have you arguing every wrong, every sin, and every unhinged move he made 💀💀. Loyalty was EVERYTHING! Kellz captured his self-made family perfectly. Death before dishonor. Every last Graveheart & BB

played the role like the family is suppose to !

And Chosyn? My girl! No matter how many times you tried to run 😂 Wolfe stood on BIG BUSINESS, he never wavered in his love for her. Always trying to put her in her soft girl era. He loved her without limits ,without hesitation. Chosyn thought she could move how she wanted, playing every 🥷 in her path, until Wolfe. She was so used to only having herself that she didn’t know what to do when a real one stepped in to hold her down🥹. Baybeeeee let em hold you !

This book was wayyy too long for it to end that way…We went round and round on the same Mary-go-round. River and Crown’s relationship was kind of annoying and their back and forth was half of this book and to think they still get their own book 😳. I loved the way Wolfe didn’t back down for Chosyn even when she kept self sabotaging. I did like the plot but the filler in between could have been minimized to really emphasize the plot and climax. I feel like the climax didn’t really hit like I wanted it to!

let’s see.

Ok, normally I loveee a good long read. However I felt this book had a lot of unnecessary chapters and a few extra point of views not needed. I sometimes skipped over some pages because it was just drawn out with excessive details and then sort of rushed at the end. Overall I enjoyed the story, I will continue the series.

So everything with this book was starting off well…it seems as soon as I hit about Chapter 3 or 4 the mistakes were prominent. It was very distracting. Overall the story line was good. It did tend to get a bit wordy at times. The banter and back and forward between the two couples was hilarious. I love a good crashout. Then towards the end it seemed that it was dragging a bit but the ending was a little rushed. I don’t know if the book needed to be as long as it was but still it was a good read even with the grammatical errors.

The level of toxicity in this book is crazy. I honestly didn’t know this was going to be a series and I wish it wasn’t. I loved Wolfe and Choysn. I thought she was a big childish and even though I understand she had been through some things she was a terrible communicator. A lot of their issues could have been handled better if she just spoke her mind. She felt controlled and I get they as well but she was definitely making situations worse with the way she was handing her words. Wolfe was Absolutely unhinged and I get that totally but he was so damn patient!!!! At first I didn’t like the Jaw grabbing but then I realized it was his way of grounding her but also showing her that “hey imma grown man you not finna little boy me.” I’m extremely glad they were able to get to a good place. Four and her little man, bruh they annoyed me tirelessly lol. It’s so crazy cause it’s like they kinna funny but they also toxic as hell and a bit annoying. Idk if I want to read their story because I feel it’s gone be more of the same, her not trying to deal with him while still crashing out behind him. Like make up ur mind is he yours or not.

🙃

From the beginning to end I was locked into this story. It was a wild ride and had moments of humor and twists that I did not expect. Wolfe was a man with a mission and Chosyn was his obsession. I wish more of the focus was on them as a couple and dealing with their pain but I did enjoy getting to meet the other characters- especially River and Crown, they had me cracking up the whole book.

✨ Book Review ✨

Let me start by saying—I really enjoyed this one. From the first chapter, I was locked in. Wolfe and Chosyn were intense in every way. You could feel their pain, their passion, and that undeniable pull between them.

Chosyn’s been through it. After losing people she loved and getting hurt in the worst ways, she built a wall up to protect herself. She didn’t trust easily, and I don’t blame her. The only people she could really count on were her best friend River. She wasn’t cold—she was guarded. But when Wolfe came into her life, he saw through all of that and gave her the space to just be.

Wolfe had his own issues too. The abandonment, the trauma from his childhood, the way loyalty is everything to him—I felt all of that. But what I appreciated most about him was how clear he was when it came to Chosyn. That man did not play about his woman. He showed up and showed out, every single time.

The chemistry between them was wild, but so was the love. Now, let’s talk about Crown and River—those two had me cracking up. Those two? UNHINGED and hilarious. Crown’s obsession with this girl and them damn glasses? I was in TEARS. 😂 They were chaotic in the best way. Crown especially? He was a whole mess but had me laughing out loud more than once. Their friendship brought some lightness to the story, and I loved that balance.

Now if I had to critique anything, it would be the last 20%. Everything started happening fast. Like, back-to-back drama, action, and reveals. It felt like we were sprinting to the finish line instead of letting the story breathe a little. I still enjoyed it, but I wish that part had been stretched out just a bit more.

But overall? The found family vibes, the loyalty, the love, the chaos—it all worked. I’m definitely invested in this crew now, and I need Navy and Honor’s story ASAP. And while we’re at it, Honey and Lynx too. Kellz, don’t keep us waiting!

The story was a road to travel with many crooks and turns. Chosyn and Wolfe worked my nerves to the bone.Crown and River took up the slack. And the other sister needs to be next in this saga, there is a lot more to uncover. Honor was quiet most of the story. I'm not sure I care for his secret keeping girlfriend who's not his girlfriend. All in all, this was a good read.

This was a 5-star read without question. I literally couldn’t put it down.

Two broken people meet at a broken bridge and to cross it, they have to help heal each other. But here’s the catch: they’re both unhinged in the best way. Loving each other might just save them… or absolutely wreck everyone around them.

The plot twists? Relentless. Just when I thought I knew what was coming plot twist. Then another. And another. I was locked in from page one to the very end.

And don’t even get me started on Book 2. River and Crown? That level of chaos? I don’t think anybody is ready for the mess they’re about to unleash.

There is soooo much I can say about this storyline as it was so good. Wolfe & Chosyn were made for each other and I’m glad they got their happy ever after bc they had some challenges. I hated for the story to end but excited to see River & Crown are next up. I kinda wanna see what happens with Honor & Navy, also what’s going to happen with Choyce now that she is calling the shots from the back. Great book and must read!!!!!

Oh yeah, Wolfe and Crown were both my book baes!!!! lol.

I absolutely loved this story. Wolfe and Chosyn was both scared of love and turned out to be exactly who each other needed. The level of toxicity in this book is crazy. Two broken people thinking they are not worthy of love because of past traumas. They both are unhinged in the best way possible. The definition of if you go low I'm going to Hell. Can't wait to see how River and Crowne turns out.

If you thought Damien "Demon Montana was crazy then wait til you meet the Graveheart Demons. One thing about me, I'm gonna eat up a book with delusional obsessed and possesive at first sight unhinged MMC. All the men in this book were certifiable. The way Wolfe and Crown had no problems dropping bodies especially when their women stayed playing games to be petty is unreal.

I loved Wolfe and Chosyn together. It was a rocky ride for them because of their trauma. Especially Chosyn's because she didn't make anything easy. For herself or Wolfe. Their chemistry together was magnetic and I was glad to see them get their much deserved HEA in the end. Chosyn was just as crazy and possesive as Wolfe. They were really two sides of the same coin. I don't know another couple that belongs together more than them.

Crown and River's book is next and I can't wait. If Wolfe was crazy then Crown was insane. Every interaction between him and River was nutty and hilarious as hell.

This book was highly entertaining. The twists and turns were interesting, the characters were crazy and frustrating and the comedy was top notch. My only issue is what it tends to be for a lot of books, the grammatical errors. This book was littered with an insane amount of errors. Most prevalent the word brought being used when the author meant bought. Along with some sentences missing words. Hopefully the author will invest in getting an editor. She needs one badly. Besides that, this book was a real good time and I can't wait to read more in this series.

hard time

I’m having a hard time getting through this book. I’m only 21% into it and it’s already getting boring and repetitive. And if I read Sweetheart ONE MORE TIME I swear I’m gone scream. It just feels like it’s not moving along. I’m gonna try a little longer but not much I won’t finish if this don’t get somewhere soon. I already don’t like the nickname and the unnecessary stupidity against ppl that don’t know yall supposed to be something. 🙄🙄🙄 that is the most stupidest thing in these “hood novels” nobody knows yall together so to fight, kill, throw drinks, etc is so dumb esp for ppl that’s almost 30 or already in their 30s.

Edit: I’ve made it a little further with a whole lot of skipping.. like a lot…and I’m so super confused. When did she kill her sister or supposedly kill her sister? In the prologue it made it seem like she only shot her father. I only made it to 54% of the book and I’m really am over it. The story is just a big circle. I’m tired of hearing “sweetheart” and “my heart”. 🙄🙄🙄. I’m tired of crown and river and I don’t care about her last relationship. It keeps REPEATING!!! Omg I’m over this book.

Okay…

This book started off well but then it started moving slow and got a bit repetitive. Things did pick up in the end and I enjoyed that. Now my BIGGEST ISSUE is all the TYPOS, MISTAKES, MISSING WORDS AND how the author would forget her own details. For example River stated that her and Sincere became official when she was 18 and he was 19. She also stated that they grew up together and first showed interest in one another as preteens. BUT later on in the book she states that she met Sincere when she was a freshman in high school and that he WAS FOUR YEARS older than her. So which is it?

Idk this book has the bones but needs a good editor.

Welcome to the (Unserious) Hood Mafia!

"when I look at you I see the perfect reflection of myself"

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Whewwwww....pure fire and pressure! This read like the title and cover art unique and perfect. And I loved all of it.

This book is a lickable tasty treat with...
👅 we grown characters. Either late 20s or mid 30s. The mains hold it down.
👅OTT unhinged for his heart MMC. Wolfe is his namesake through and through.
👅keke humor as a nod to some dope Black American culture. If you grew up watching UPN (iykyk) + Jamie Foxx Show + Living Single, then the style and types of jokes will jump out on the page. Having you laugh out loud at the antics.
👅the twists that were twisting. The suspense was decent with impending doom.
👅the freaky-deaky sex that was nas-tay! Snowballing, YES! Smex in public, YES! Eating her plate (😉) until she squirts, YES! Licking and biting the nips, YES! Bloody lip kissing, YES! And you know just some good body slapping smex.
👅 a dark skin, 6ft 4 MMC wearing gold slugs in his mouth
👅 Badasserycharacters. BlackCatFMC with a ColdHeartedMMC both are cray and both are willing to take it there 🤗. Both are Rick James Fire & Desire. Remember she knows how to cut a bitch and he always keeps a pew pew.
👅 As the World Turns-style drama of secrets, and lies...the Lies... THE LIES
👅 Hood Mafia world building with characters who are intimate with violence, blood, and death just takes the cake as a crazy backdrops.

#LoveStory
Romance and action was "pure, gut rearranging, heart palpitations, toe numbing, world shifting" are adjectives used to describe the love between the main characters but it should be the words to describe the book in general.

#UrbanDarkRomance
This is a dark romance where the character traumas takes center stage in the relationship conflict, add a dash of toxicity and a devil may care I ain't scared of death mentality = readers seeing two characters with walls around their hearts give in.

Come for the bloody mayhem and stay for the evolution of a beauty going from sweetheart to heart & a street enforcer go from heartless to love.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wolfe & Chosyn — My Review

I picked this one up because everyone kept recommending it…and honestly, the cover alone had me sold. I’m a sucker for a nice cover, and this one did not disappoint.

What really pulled me in, though, was Wolfe and Chosyn themselves. Their loyalty—both to each other and to the people they love—felt genuine. They didn’t play about one another, and that made their relationship feel real, intentional, and solid. I love when characters love each other out loud like that.

Crown? Listen. He had me laughing through the entire book—especially any scene with him, River, and those glasses. Pure comedy. The author did a great job letting the humor breathe without taking away from whatever you call what they had going on.

My favorite part of the story overall was the reminder that family isn’t always the people you’re given. Sometimes family is who shows up for you, chooses you, and loves you the right way. The book captured that perfectly.

Now… I’ll be real. I wish she had asked me to edit this book, because the typos were doing THE MOST. The story was fantastic, but the amount of typos pulled me out of the moment way more than expected reading any book I have ever read. I’d have edited it for free just off the strength of how good the story was.

Still, if you’re looking for a book with good laughs, real romance, and a storyline that hits the heart, I’d definitely recommend this one.

A fun, energetic read with plenty of personality.

Loved everything about Wolfe, he definitely had that bde. Loved how he was there for her no questions asked, he popped up. He loved her really hard. Chosyn she really stressed me out with all that running from him she did. That shit was low key annoying. I was so happy when she got her mind right. Her daddy wasn’t shit and neither was her sister. They used her love for them against her and pops up when they need something from her.

River was stupid, crazy that she could call out Chosyn but not her own mistakes. I will not read her and Crown book.. nope because she’s in love with a dead man and won’t let go.. Crown is crazy but in a good way. Ain’t no body got time to be stressed and anxious over a book.

Didn’t like a Navy, I felt like she what was going on the whole time.. and she does seem sneaky.. feel bad for Honor , he was just trying to make it but ended up with his moms debts. Lucian never wanted to let him free.

Ellie got exactly what she deserved, how she blames Wolfe idk. It wasn’t his fault, she was getting beat up. Then her getting out and hateful and bitter. Yes I’m glad Wolfe didn’t blink twice when he killed her.

Overall a solid 4 star read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Round and round

If you want a plot that makes sense this ain’t that. But if you like urban romance with wild stuff happening and mmcs being crazy behind the women they love you’ll enjoy it. Based on that I can see why this book is all over my feed.

For me this took the elements I like from authors and threw in what was probably supposed to be gripping mastermind plot but was really just a lot of unnecessary interlocking connections and called it good. I stuck it out to see if the next part was worth it but the level of contradictory words and actions, and character development were too frustrating to endure again.

** I don’t know if it was intentional or even if it was supposed to come off that way but the implication that Talon wasn’t cut out for taking over being constantly attached to comments about his sexuality came off homophobic af

Okay, so I was torn between leaving a 4 star review or 5. Simply because of the ending. There were too many things happening at once. And it didn't feel completely resolved. But I gave it 5 stars because it's likely going to continue as series? Hopefully. I absolutely loved and adored Wolfe and Chosyn's love affair. I was HOOKED. I am curious about Honor's story and thought his story would be next in the series. As much as I found Crown hilarious I don't think I'd care to learn more about his backstory or connection with River. I couldn't relate to their situation. Honey and Lynx would be interesting to delve into. It's my first time reading Kellz books and I was impressed. Hopefully the rest of her work intrigues me.

The Wolfe and his heart! ❤️ 4.5⭐️

This was my first book by Kellz Kimberly. It was a long book (which I love) and a good read. The Gravehart men had a lot to overcome, and need some serious therapy…I love their relationship. Chosyn and Wolfe are made for each other…love how he loves her. River and Crown’s story is up next. Choyce is🤷🏽‍♀️

-.5 ⭐️ due to typos.

This book had me at first. The FMC and MMC were complex, relatable, and layered in a way that felt real. Both had childhood trauma, and watching them slowly heal while falling for each other made me think this might be one of my favorite reads of the year.

But then it just… spiraled.

There were way too many plotlines happening at once. Instead of sticking to one or two strong conflicts, the author kept adding more…and the more that piled on, the more chaotic it got. The emotional weight the story started with got buried under unnecessary drama. It felt like the book didn’t know when to end, and instead of letting the characters grow and settle into a full-circle moment, everything just kept getting more over-the-top.

Now, the whole breakup-makeup-sex, make him jealous & kill for her cycle between the couples? Side eye. It was way too repetitive & made the characters look childish.

I still think the author has something special, especially with how she writes emotional depth and character backstories. I just hope she learns to trust the power of a simpler, more focused story.

I really wanted to love this one because of all the hype, but it just didn’t work for me.

There were so many typos and misused words— it constantly pulled me out of the story. The characters were deeply broken but somehow also mini-therapists, completely self aware, and ready to deliver TED Talks on trauma and healing while acting completely unhinged/psychotic. The “love” felt more like obsession, with people crashing out over folks they just met, harming innocent people they pulled into their toxic cat and mouse games. It got exhausting and often felt ridiculous.

The plot had inconsistencies, dragged in places, and then went completely chaotic in the last 20%. A lot happened, but also… not much? Relationships didn’t develop, they just declared intense loyalty out of nowhere. Dialogue was often corny, and some character choices made no sense at all.

River and Crown got SO annoying I started skimming their chapters. The “my wife” stuff got old fast, and half the time I was more frustrated than intrigued. I nearly DNF’d it. This needed editing, trimming, and a more grounded story. Sadly, not for me.

What I liked?: The cover art. It's what piqued my interest in the book.

The length of this book should be cut in half. It was entirely too long for what it was. Also, do proof readers no longer exist?

I got whiplash reading this book. It contained some of the most unhinged behavior (Cause seriously why did the deejay have to die) but also, there was supposedly the most self aware ninjas in existence. How Sway? 2.75 stars.

Wolfe + Chosyn

Stressed... that is the only word I can use for how I am feeling. These people stressed me out so badly.

I just now that Crown & River are giving everyone a run for their money. After all of the shenanigans they pulled in this book, an entire book with them as the focus does not seem interesting, especially if it is 400+ pages. I may try to give Honor & Navy a try though. Honor just seems like an interesting man.

OK read. The characters read much younger than they were, but they really never got the chance to grow up, so I get it... I guess. This book was unnecessarily long, especially considering there were so many things left unexplained.

*** After thinking about it more... There were so many inconsistencies and situations left without explanation. The book was so many pages. The first half started off very promising but by the 2nd half it just didn't progress much.

(4.5⭐️)My first read by this author and I was definitely locked in. The characters were layered, but lovable & I love the found family aspect. The way that Wolfe (MMC) was able to almost immediately recognize the broken child in Chosyn (FMC), and made it his mission to break down those walls and heal her, while also healing himself🥹. Also he was definitely a crash out over Chosyn. Nowhere near his brother Crown though🤣. It was a slow build up as she learned to trust him at his word but they got there. The last 20% of the book though when all the plots started twisting🤯🤯🤯. I’m interested to see how the rest of the series will play out for the rest of the Graveheart brothers. Especially Honor. My heart just wants him to have his freedom.

There were many inconsistencies with this book. For example, in one chapter, River said she was 18 and sincere was 19 when they officially got together. Then, later on, she said there was a four year age gap.

I thought the guy that snatched Chosyn in the beginning of the book was killed, but he came back when Wolfe needed someone to watch the shop a few chapters later.

There were sooo many errors throughout the book, but I was able to overlook it.

Now, personally, when I read a book titled with the name of the main characters, that's all I want it to be about. I did enjoy River and Crown's side story, but it didn't draw me in. And once it got to them pulling up at Randy's house, I started skipping their scenes.

The sex scenes were a bit cringe and out of place, and I felt there was missing information in the book.

Chosyn was giving me emotional whiplash. I was glad River finally got her together in that hospital. But, River was no better when it came to Crown and their situation

Honor and Navy pissed me off big time. How is Wolfe your "family," but you're leaving him in the dark. Especially when his life could be in danger???

Wolfe and Chosyen were toxic and a bit abusive if you ask me lol. Wolfe didn't make it to my list of book baes, but he definitely gave BDE.

I can't want to see how this situation with Choyce plays out. I'm praying Honor doesn't do any f*ck shit behind Navy's back.

I didn't really understand Ellie's mindset regarding her son.

I could have sworn when Honor made the final deal with Lucian, he said his brothers would be free. But then again, knowing their family, Crown and Wolfe wasn't going to let Honor carry that burden by himself.

I'm not really thrilled for River and Crown's book because I feel like we got enough of them, but for the sake of moving along with the series, I will be tuning in.

I did feel like the ending was rushed and a bit anticlimactic, but nonetheless, it was the ending everyone (except Choyce) deserved.

This book was very interesting and may contain some spoilers my bad. Lol

Okay.
The story starts off wild as f*, set in the city of Graveheart Grove.

At 15, our FMC Chosyn is about to be sold off by her daddy but she refuses, runs away, and shoots her daddy. For our MMC Wolfe, we get introduced to him getting beat up — literally as a child. He quickly learns that no one is going to save him so he learns to defend himself, building alliances & a brotherhood along the way.

Fast forward over a decade later and Chosyn is a successful business owner with a cheating ass boyfriend… who isn’t really her boyfriend.. and on her way to get her lick back for something she did, she ends up getting kidnapped cuz her ex was into some shady shit. She comes face to face with Wolfe and that’s when he decides that she’s his lol.

After getting rid of her pesky ex, Wolfe is applying PRESSURE to his crash out in crime lol. They both matched each other’s energy in similar ways but I think the funniest thing Wolfe did was fake that funeral lmao.

Lots of yearning.
Lots of spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Lots of back and forth between these two because thdy both had traumatic childhood experiences that hindered them at their very big ages. Lbs. Chosyn was a runner, a track star if you will. But Wolfe was so patient.

The ending felt a little rushed but I’m hopeful a lot of the questions I have will be answered in Crown and River’s book (who are HILARIOUS AND DELUSIONAL BTW)

All in all, I enjoyed the read and the drama and can’t wait to read more about this crew.
