Not for the faint hearted

Alex was kidnapped and turned into a killer she had to do awful things and was abused for so many years. She was lucky to be saved by Joe and he has taken her under his wing. She has learnt that her skills can be used for good and to kill the evil men that hunt the young. She has gone undercover to find a boy that has been kidnapped but she has a partner that she needs to trust. Nate wants to understand her but he needs her to trust him. Can Alex trust him with her life and her past. Will they find the boy before it is too late. Will Alex be able to look to the future and leave her past behind. A very dark read nice quick pace loved the characters both strong people.

I got this for free, thank goodness. There is a good reason why I don't read much romance. I find it awfully cliched and full of one dimensional characters that do not develop. I can't say it was bad but it certainly doesn't slot into my category of good. I like a lot more depth. Creating a character with a dark past does not make them layered. It just doesn't work for me.

I went into this book not knowing what to expect. I was intrigued by the action, and the chemistry between Nate & Alex, but that was as far as it went. Unfortunately, I just wasn't drawn into the story. I did finish it, because I always finish books, but I don't think I will read the next part.
