When twenty-eight year old Alexandria Winter signed up for Abnormal Psychology at Woodbridge University, she wasn't expecting anything out of the ordinary. Dr. Sebastian Archibald, her charming, middle-aged professor, changed all of that. While Alexandria thought she would only have to navigate how to balance work, her social life and several Master's classes, her unorthodox professor tossed an unexpected curveball into her life that left her dreaming about him nightly. The catch? She knows he is hiding something. That was apparent the night he followed her home just a day after a young woman was murdered on campus.
Despite her gut feeling that Dr. Archibald isn't putting all of his cards on the table, Alexandria is intrigued, inspired and deeply attracted to her professor. As their connection grows stronger and lines are crossed, her list of questions grows. How does he know so much about her? How could he afford such a lavish estate in the middle of nowhere? And why is he so adamant that the man who killed the young college student will never be caught? As the body count rises, Alexandria needs to figure out if the man she is falling for is truly looking out for her like he claims, or if his secrets are too dark for her to handle.
This book, although a little risqué for my taste, was quite the page turner!! I love that I thought I had it figured out, but I was so wrong!! I also thought it was written really well and kept me on the edge of my seat until the end.
For anyone who enjoys a smart, atmospheric read that explores the dark side of the human psyche, You Scare Me, Dr. Archibald will not disappoint. It’s a book that lingers long after the last page is turned, leaving readers with a haunting sense of doubt and the question: Who can you trust?
