Advice and reassurance

Even as a full time artist I knew I'd be buying this book as soon as it came out.

I've followed Stacie's career for a long time so knew there would be a few gems in there. There are loads of tips throughout to keep you interested as well as honest stories from other well known artists. It doesn't sugar coat the creative life. It mentions both the highs and the lows. It covers everything from imposter syndrome, self care, possible income streams to overcome the feast and famine of an illustrator's life and the warning signs of burnout.

There are actionable steps you can implement in your own business throughout the book that you can revisit time and time again. I had many lightbulb moments and ideas while I was reading this. It was good to know that other creatives think in the same way and seeing other people go on to have amazing careers wherever they started was really inspiring.
