In this book this brother is an only child but then one day his parents tell him that he is going to be a brother. He is very excited but then finds out that it is not all that he wanted. He does not get the attention that he was getting. He then realizes he can help take care of the baby and will get more attention like he had before he had a brother.

I think this book is great for siblings going to get another sibling. It can show them how they can help when they get another sibling. They will have more fun if they know what is coming. Great illustrations.

I would use this in my classroom to show what can happen when another sibling is born. It can show the kids what to do in the future. It can also show that if you are a parent you have to watch what you do to the kids you have before. The kids need to be treated the same even after the parents have another child.

A hit in our house--this title combines easy reader with a slight plot. The feelings of the older sibling are captured but not to the extent that it goes overboard or shows the sibling acting in any type of malicious manner.

This book deals very well with jealousy of a new baby sibling.
