Years of damage, frustration and disconnect from her natural hair followed, until she realised she was hiding from her true self. Now, as host of Texture Talks, Paige has reclaimed her Afro hair and uncovered deeper truths about self-worth, identity and healing.

Inside How to Love Your Afro, Paige will teach you how
- Shift your mindset and language to transform your relationship with your hair
- Break free from beauty standards and embrace self-acceptance
- Choose the best products, tools, and techniques to nourish your Afro
- Understand the link between hair health, diet and wellbeing

With insights from psychotherapist Tasha Bailey, dermatologist Dr. Yvonne Abimbola and Revlon curl specialist Rio Agor Watts, How to Love Your Afro offers a holistic guide to embracing your natural hair - blending emotional healing with practical care. An excellent manual on Afro hair for anyone beginning or restarting their natural hair journey

I throughly enjoyed reading this book. In my opinion, it’s a complete guide to Afro hair that is much needed in this age of misinformation. I would highly recommend this book to anyone thinking of starting their natural hair journey or have been natural for a while and want to gain expert knowledge on how to optimise hair and scalp health.

I absolutely loved this book and will be lending it to and/or talking about it with every afro haired friend or family member I have. It helped me reflect on how I view my 4C Afro, and guided me toward caring for it with greater intention and self-compassion.
I appreciated that the book focuses on education rather than products, offering meaningful insight into the history, purpose, and practices behind healthy hair care. The sections on the social and cultural issues surrounding Afro hair were especially thought-provoking and deepened my appreciation for my natural texture. Reading this has inspired me to continue my Afro journey with patience, pride, and love. Highly recommend.

Though not a wig warrior, I do be hiding behind the crutch of monthly box braid appointments so this was a lovely and powerful read. Though not a lot of this information was revolutionary or super new to me, it was still super informative!
