September 4, 2015I don't think i can explain or say how dissappointed i was in this book.
Enough to not give it any stars.
No depth to the characters, we have their appearances, and their conversations.
The sex was just not sexy, it was just there. Usually, even in short stories like these, theres a little plot peeking out somewhere.. Here... there was none.. zero.. zilch.. nothing!
It didn't leave enough of an impression on me that i can remember the names.
But during the sex, the MC's "dirty talk" was just plain wrong, not sexy, not dirty talk i've come to expect from erotic books, even short ones. Just cursing and asking/demanding. The sex scenes were boring.
But the thing i was most dissappointed in, was the ending.. Sure they ended up living together, happy ending, yada yada yada....... No matter how much of a bastard her landlord is, i can't see how most likely breaking his hip and then just leaving him is okay. I mean, it says in the book that she takes bear number 2 and steps over the landlord... what the fuck... then bear number 1 and 2 part shift their faces, scaring the shit out of the old man, which is fine, but then he backs away from them, in his wheelchair, and crashes down a flight of stairs... They stop and look at him, and she snatches a picture of him laying there...
I like shifter males, alpha shifter males with alpha tendencies.... but that shit is just sick.. it's an old man throwing empty threats.... thats just fucked up, and I was actually giving it a single star at that point... But those two things.. Crash and burn baby.. The book was totally ruined after that and i take back my single star and leave the book with zero..

No real depth
No real depth
The only storyline to this book was the landlord, how bad her life was, and sex, lots of sex. The sex was. borderline boring when the majority of the book was based on it. A three some could be considered interesting if there was more depth and development in other areas. This read more like what I imagine a bad prom script to be.
After reading this, I won't even call it a book I felt I had been exposed to what I imagine a bad porn script would be. There was no fleshing out of the characters. The storyline was completely about sex with no emotions involved other than her bad life and her jerk of a landlord. The bears were not given any personality other than their physical attributes. In a word boring.

Could have been better...
Personally, I like a little story with my erotica and I like a bit of romance as well...lots of sex but not much else.

It was a quick read but besides the intimate parts there wasn't really a story

Storyline really had no depth which made it disappointing. I didn't feel a connection between the characters besides the desire to scratch an itch.

If you like reading about lots and lots of MMF sex then this is definitely the book for you, if like me you enjoy a story to go along with the sex then I would avoid this book.
