I always look forward to Whitney G's stories, and as much as I loved her previous ones I can't state the same for her latest work...*sigh*
Yes, her stories are hawt and steamy BUT I need more substance like I found in her previous books like Reasonable doubt, Turbulence, Falling for Mr. Statham or Empire of lies just to mention a few, so I know, I am certain that she can deliver...but lately, it's only too short too mention kind of material and honestly I miss all the angst and hotness...and developed plot with characters that are a tad bit more than one dimensional...
So, as much as I love her writing I am just not in love with her storytelling...I like it, sure..

and I simply can't give high ratings since I have started to be very strict and demanding of my book picks and I refuse to have the same expectations for every author, cause that's just not possible...

The best friends brother trope was intriguing at a first glance but I don't think this book did it well. I personally didn't like the way the writing flowed in this story, it skipped too fast to certain scenarios where I had to do multiple double takes of "wait- how did we get here?". And I know its a novella and novellas flow faster than others but I think my brain was just too slow to comprehend what was going on. I also HATED Chelsea.

This was a deliciously, fun, smexy read, perfect for an afternoon quickie!
Harlow was so much fun, as were her interactions with the eternal bride, her best friend and Tyler’s sister, Chelsea. Some of their conversations had me grinning like a lunatic. I love that this author always gives me something crazy, unique and hilarious in each book.

This is the second story in the Naughty Bedroom series which are about forbidden attractions.
Harlow once shared a kiss with her best friend’s young brother. He was in college at the time and the age gap is around 6-7 years. Nothing further ever happened between them but Tyler has been harbouring feelings for Harlow since he was a teenager so there was no regret on his end for that unforgettable kiss.
Since then a few years have gone by, Harlow has been married and is now newly divorced. She really needs to get away and take some time out for herself. After seeing an ad for an indulgent week away at a resort the decision is made for her. Relaxing on a beach and having daily massages is just what she needs.
Harlow is shocked to find out that the holiday package is nothing like she expected it to be. On every level. Once she recovers from her disappointment she does go ahead with a massage. Once that delivers up relaxation and optional happy endings. She is in for more than she bargained for when she lies down on the massage table.
After Harlow returns from her break away she once again crosses paths with Tyler. She can no longer deny the insane attraction between them and things simmer into many hot sexually charged moments between them. The only problem is that she is hiding her relationship with Tyler from her best friend and she hates telling lies. Maybe it’s time to just fess up, they are all adults after all, surely Chelsea can handle it?

I'm just going to start off this review with how much I disliked this read. This book looked soo appealing being the "best friend's younger brother" trope but overall it just was not written well. Everything moved too fast (even for a novella) and skipped to the future with really no details necessary to the plot provided for what happened in between.
This is the book in a nutshell so it's ALL spoilers...
The fmc is an obnoxious wreck of a person and I hated her character from the first page. Her and her best friend's brother had a past where he was crushing on her and ultimately an incident happened right before she was to be married—she was denying her feelings. Cuts years later to her being married and her husband cheating so she decides to go to a singles retreat which is really a sex retreat. BUT GUESS WHAT?! The best friend's brother is the owner of this retreat and things get heated, yet she still decides to push him away, be alone the rest of the retreat, and then fly back home where she is living with her best friend now because of her divorce. Oh, but best friend's brother comes and waits outside and it's a complete flip. They hook up and then all of the sudden she is off having scandalous hookups with him all the time and ignoring her best friend and her maid of honor duties (this all happens within like 5 pages btw... that's how fast this is). Best friend catches her in the lie, they have a falling out, but she is still MOH for the wedding. The wedding comes, best friend apologies, best friend's brother grovels for her back, everything is good and dandy...
This would have been good if it was written well. Everything just moved soo fast and it had soo many personality flips that stuff just didn't make sense. That is all.

Aunque me gustó más cuando leí el original, sigo encontrando en este libro una lectura ligera, entretenida y perfecta para leer entre libros más densos.
La traducción del título de Can you handle it? de la serie Naughty bed collection, no es lo mejor, no dice absolutamente nada. Tampoco es que lo diga el original.
Encontrarás un romance con el hermano de la mejor amiga que, además, tiene seis años menos. Tyler siempre ha estado enamorado y eso hace que por lo menos no resulte apresurado el romance.
El resto de la historia, apresurada. Todo pasa rápido y no da tiempo a profundizar en nada.
Pero a veces, justo eso es lo que hace falta. Una lectura que no te hace pensar.

I love these quick reads from Whitney. She always puts a smile on my face with these impossible to put, fast paced reads.
I loved both Harlow and Tyler, their banter is quick and witty and their chemistry was off the charts. I wish I could have had more of them. But at times, I think it was Chelsea wackiness who stole the show. I loved her relationship with Harlow.

Adored this hot little novella by one of my favourite authors!

Tyler's always had a crush on his older sister's bestie. Harlow can't deny that nerdy Tyler has grown up pretty darn fine! He's completely off-limits but she's never forgotten the kiss he stole from her. When she books herself into a 'special' retreat, the last person she expects to meet there is Tyler.
"You're f*cking beautiful when you're on the edge, but I really need to know what it's like to see you come."
These two were sizzling! I loved their connection and chemistry. The dialogue was snappy, cheeky and funny. There's nothing I didn't like about this story - except maybe I wished it'd been a full novel! Love this author's unexpected storylines but can always expect her to deliver a hot, amusing story!

a la literatura romántica le hace falta más historias de age gap donde ella sea la mayor (justo como esta), igual no sé si me encanta tanto el concepto de brother's best friend cuando se trata de esta dinámica, pero Tyler se me hizo muy simpático y era un total boy obsessed 🫵🏻😭
aHORA me tomó por sorpresa el tema de la ⚠️ lluvia dorada ⚠️ no involucra a la pareja principal (por si acaso) pero la manera en que la autora decidió mencionarlo como una charla más entre girlies me dejó !!! sin palabras y neuronas

Short, Steamy, totally unbelievable, but I’m into the OW/YM thing…surprisingly
I love an age gap. LOVE an age gap. But I usually go for older man/younger woman. This is the first older woman/younger man I’ve enjoyed…and one of the only I’ve taken a chance on.
The timeline is suspect and moments that should probably have been fleshed out are not. Moments that didn’t need to be fleshed out were. And the sister is probably the worst character ever. She’s the reason the book loses a star.
But for a short and steamy before bed read, it’s a keeper. I prefer book 1…by far. But this is worth the read.

Harlow just realized someone has been using her credit card and thinks it’s her best friend Chelsea’s younger brother Tyler but when she goes to confront him she realizes Tyler is all grown up and sexy as hell and the two of them share a kiss. A couple years later Harlow discovers her husband is cheating on her and divorces him then goes to what ends up being a sex resort. She orders a sexy massage and the masseuse ends up being Tyler and the two start sleeping together. It quickly becomes more and then Chelsea finds out and is pissed. Harlow ends things but Tyler refuses to let her go that easily.
I absolutely adore Whitney G books I just got wish these were full novels and not quickie books. I was rooting for Harlow and Tyler the entire time and was happy that they got their happy ending. I can’t wait to see more from Whitney.

Outrageously fun. Harlow and Tyler might be one of the funniest couples that this author has spawned.
This little story is laughs and lust in a neat package. It starts with a surreal case of bad shopping spree that leads Harlow to her best friend's younger brother turned into tempting hunk. I loved their quick banter and hot chemistry which goes from unforgettable kisses to the most hilarious case of a lonely girl that looks for a bit of decent bed action. The place where Harlow ends up and how she finds herself there is just too good to be true.
The relationship is easy, hot, and a source of dramatic events wrapped in more craziness. Don't miss the best friend and her unique take on couple's life. I also enjoyed Tyler's intense need for Harlow and how he fights for her. It's a quick, fun, and very entertaining read.

Whitney G is one of my favorite authors. Some of my favorite books have been written by her. This one -well it just didn't cut it for me.
Harlow is best friends with Tyler's sister. (who is a total nut case!) He's also 6 years younger than her but has always had a crush on Harlow. When her credit card info is stolen she has someone track it down to his dorm. (yep, he still lives in a campus dorm) He points out to her that he is one of a lot of people living at the same dorm address, and it's not him. He has secretly started a lucrative business that is about to make him a ton of money.
Next time they meet (the whole who stole the credit card fiasco was never mentioned again) Harlow's life is in an upheaval. She's newly divorced and has booked herself a week at a sex resort. Only she doesn't know it's a sex resort. When she schedules a massage guaranteed to have a happy ending guess who ends up being at the same resort helping our an employee? That confused me, Tyler owns a big time company that arrange massages but he flies out to step in and help out with a staff shortage?
Secrecy abounds with tons of sex. It's such a short read, there's no real character development and too many holes in the plot. But I adore this author so I'm not letting this one stop me from reading her next story!

Whitney never fails to deliver a hot, super sexy, fun read. If you are seeking a fun, quick read then this is the one for you. The chemistry is great between Harlow and Tyler and I loved Chelsea. The friendship between Chelsea and Harlow felt real. The way two friends always back each other.

Harlow and Tyler
This was such a fun and fast paced romance. Harlow and Chelsea have been friends since childhood. Chelsea is so funny that as I was reading this book I laughed out loud! She also has a handsome young brother Tyler and he has always had a crush on Harlow.

This was a quick spicy read, true to Whitney G. form. If you're in the mood for a quick read and love best friend's younger brother romances, then this is the book for you. Unfortunately some of the timeline was off for me and I had trouble with parts of the story and what was supposed to be happening where, other than that, it was a fun read.

This is a good quick read and a bit more on the adult side of things. Definitely worth the time to read.
Harlow and Tyler (Harlow's BF brother) have known each other for years. Harlow being older has never really found interest in Tyler until she does. Tyler however, has had his eye on Harlow for some time.
